I have one but from what I recall the decals are unmarked....but are based on Takatoku decal sheet not matchbox due to "Vol 1" wording on lower left hand of sheet... I like how they went out of their way to grind out the logos...wonder if it was one guy doing it when they were assembling them...lol You can also tell that, at least from that part, that the part is from a "Matchbox" version due to the size of the area being grinded out....for the Takatoku....the area that is taken up for their logo takes up most of it from top to bottom....in the Matchbox version...the Bandai logo is more centered...so that the top and bottom has more space...sort of similar to where the Macross logo is placed on the opposite side... You can see how much more area is taken up by the Takatoku logo vs the Matchbox logo in this pic...

Would not make sense to do so since they have yet to find enough buyers for the 800 they supposedly produced...

I guess the only ones getting screwed now with KC's earlier decision to keep increasing their initial edition size of this thing are the retailers... Oh and I guess everyone who bought it all full price...

There are 2 books...the one in your pic is the "Shoji Kawamori" version which is more about his process in creating the valkyries The other "Designer's Note" is a big reference book covering most of the VF lineart for the Kawamori's "final" versions

The VT-1 "trainer" you are referring to was illustrated by Yuji Kaida...

A dual release of the Tomahawk and Phalanx just like what they did with the Max and Kakizaki -1As would be great... It must be a running joke at Bandai at this point....

They have so many POs that they still have not delivered on.....if they are going to continue pushing out VF-1 repaints, I hope they can just get to the Alaska Base VF-1s already...I'd be in on one of each...-1A, -1J and -1S

Low....Bandai is selling the VT-1 at 6 per customer...wink, wink

Don't forget....it's also the 30th Anniversary for Macross Plus and Macross 7... We already PO'd a YF-21 for M+...and now a VT-1 for DYRL....perhaps a DX VF-19 Kai may be up next?...

I ordered my HMR Max and Kakizaki sets from "yoyakunow".... All these guys are great until they're not! LOL I like being able to order multiples from the same place.... If the limit is really 6 per customer, maybe this won't be the PO Madness we thought it might be?

Seems they changed the release dates for the 1/72 GBP Armor and Regult to April 2024.....not holding my breath

I guess maybe you get a box for paying extra for more protection and faster shipping....

They did not use a box? I think the issue was the oversized Tenjin book...they probably did not have any boxes large enough to fit it...
