    Wait...BW did something to thwart the international growth of the Macross franchise again? Shocking... just shocking.. :blink:<_<

    anyway..with the 1/48s still out there and the new 1/60s..the 1/55s sadly never had a chance...the only advantage they have is that they don't break...

    so I guess since these are held up, the chances of the 1/100 scale line from Tamashii won't be released here either...

    great.. as usual, other franchises (who are less popular in the US) get merchandise released here but Macross stuff gets held up in legal BS..."call the lawyers!" fanf'ntastic...this is getting kind of old...

    Dear sweet lord I lost some respect for COB after hearing that. I still have most of their albums though, they are a pretty decent group.

    COB also does a cover of "Talk Dirty to Me".. brutal.. but so is the original. "Shot in the Dark" and "Aces High" are tolerable. Alexi really can't sing though.

    CD of the week/month for me is Lamb of god - Wrath. Damn good

    I got both Akuma and Gouken the first time trying.

    The method on gamefaqs.com worked.

    Setting it to easiest and one round works well. Just make sure you're using your best (or cheapest) character. You'll have an easier time getting the perfects early on. Also, to be safe, end as many matches as you can with an Ultra.

    Use this method to unlock both of them....except Akuma must be used to unlock Gouken.

    After beating the game with Akuma, you can use any character that you beat the game with to unlock Gouken. I used Ken to unlock him.

    I will say and admit that the rumored $500 price tag is alot of money....

    BUT

    do you guys remember the time when there was no new macross toys, only the Taka 1/55's and Jetfires out there? Do you remember the prices they were going for even for KO's and junkers? Yeah, I do.

    ha ha very true. I remember the days of the 500.00 1/55 takatokus...I know.. I bought one or two ...knuckle head. Some 1/55 sets like the DYRL? Hikaru were going go up over a $1,000.00 on ebay.

    If I was still collecting like I was a few years ago (when 1/48s were new), I wouldn't buy this. 500.00 before shipping for one item that will probably lose value and not do much isn't worth it to me.

    There's also Yamato's questionable QC. I can read it now "My SDF-1 is broken, where can I get replacement parts?"

    BTW, I just want to vent about how cheap some Zangief players are.... the next one on my list are the Blanka players... Thnx.

    Totally. Those are two worst I've encountered online. Ken/Ryu spammers have nothing on those two. Its either Zangief's powerbombs/throws or Blanka's electric shock.

    Last night online fights: Ken, Ken, Ryu, Ken, Ryu, and maybe a Gouken etc.. this is getting ridiculous

    Now Ken is my favorite, always will be, but come on people expand your horizons. I barely play as him online because its gets so boring.

    BTW Capcom's info for unlocking Gouken worked. I beat him with....Ken lol

    To unlock Akuma as a playable character:

    You need to get at least one "perfect" win in a round, and more than one depending on how many rounds per match you are playing.

    - 1 round match: 1 perfect round or more

    - 3 round match: 2 perfect rounds or more

    - 5 round match: 3 perfect rounds or more

    - 7 round match: 4 perfect rounds or more

    (including the last battle against Seth)

    To unlock Gouken as a playable character:

    1. Complete Arcade Mode playing as Akuma and watch (not necessary to watch everything) an ending.

    2. Then, unlock Gouken as an opponent, and defeat him.

    Necessary conditions to unlock Gouken as an opponent:

    - Play with any characters with which you watched the ending once (so play using a character you have already beaten the game with)

    - Do not continue at all.

    - Do not lose at all. Not even one round (easier if you only play 1-round matches)

    - Achieve certain number (or more) of "Perfect" rounds. The number of Perfect Win you need to achieve are:

    If you play on

    - 1 round match: 1 time or more

    - 3 round match: 2 times or more

    - 5 round match: 3 times or more

    - 7 round match: 4 times or more

    - Achieve certain number (or more) of Super Combo -OR- Ultra Combo Finishes. Super and Ultra finishes both count toward this number. The number of perfect win you need to achieve are:

    Sounds like there is trouble with some of the Mad Catz joysticks

    My collecting habits haven't changed...I still don't buy much...well I used to buy alot. I collected stuff for 20 years. I stopped during the 1/48 "era" I still buy things (as in cheap lol) from time to time but I'm not the avid collector I once was. A few years ago I wouldn't give a second thought on blowing 150.00 plus on a Valkyrie..not now though.

    My hobbies have switched to videogames only since I feel I get more for my money.

    I work in fastener sales. Screws, bolts, nuts etc. Ya things have been slow the last 6 months. We're doing enough to get by but that's about it. My building has other types of businesses in it too and they are slow as well. Most of the trucks that come in here are half empty. The dock is dead most of the time. Alot of the companies I know or work with are on 4 day work weeks. I've had a few myself. A few of my friends are out of work. My brother-in-law got let go two weeks before Christmas. Good times....ugh

    Say what you want about Ken/Ryu being used too much (which is true) or the spamming of fireballs etc...the worst I have run into online has to be Blanka. Anyone who uses him usually just spams his electric special move..how annoying.

    I still have to unlock Gouken. I might not even bother with Seth. What's the point?

    I've been a Ken player for years but it does get quite boring. He's really overpowered in SFIV. I've been using Cammy, Fei Long, Rose and Abel.
