  1. The reports I've read had the PS motion controller tech beyond what even Nintendo was doing, but they should not have shown it at that stage of development, and the demonstration was clearly a rushed, last minute addition.

Agreed. Maybe they threw it together since the PSP Go info was "leaked" lol

Not big into downloading anime from the PSN video store but Toei has been added . They have some episodes of Fist of the North star, Captain Harlock and Galaxy Express 999.

Manga Ent has Macross II up (6 episodes, I assume dubbed).

Also there is an HD version of the first CG Appleseed movie. Probably just in 720p , 2ch.

  2. Oh hey, how about this story from Joystiq.com:

The Senior Vice President of Square Enix, Shinji Hashimoto, has started the super secret Square Enix press conference today by clarifying Final Fantasy XIV's exclusivity details. The game is currently pegged for the PS3 and PC, though "in terms of other hardware devices, including Microsoft's, we're considering all possibilities."

    Nice "exclusive", Sony.

lol figures. It's probably a timed exclusive for the PS3

  3. Wimmer Penning Total Recall Remake

    Source: Variety

    June 3, 2009

Columbia Pictures has set Kurt Wimmer to write Total Recall, the remake of the 1990 film that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, reports Variety.

Wimmer has been working with the studio on Salt and co-wrote the upcoming Law Abiding Citizen. Wimmer's credits include The Thomas Crown Affair, Equilibrium and Ultraviolet.

Total Recall was resurrected for remake earlier this year by the studio and producer Neal Moritz and his Original Films. The film will be a contemporized adaptation of the sci-fi saga based on the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale."

not only has Hollywood raped my childhood, now they are raping my teenage years lol

hmm a more contemporary version? what is the male lead gonna be some whiny emo dude or a UFC wannabe meatball?

  4. I'm not part of the "if it doesn't have guns, blood, and cursing in it, its not worth my time" crowd. Casual? Its fun. Isn't that why we all play video games?

Anywho, back on topic, Last Guardian looks to be amazing, and maybe I should finally check out a God of War game.

Neither I am. I play lots of casual games but Nintendo just seems to be content with the casual market with the same IPs and occasionally throwing a bone to core gamers...I can't blame them though.. $$$

  5. Sony had a good show. At least Sony had a real live demo of its motion sensor controller.

The only games that interested me were GOWIII and Last Guardian. I'm done with pretty people RPGs from Square.

Microsoft had a good show too. If Natal is real ...wow. Nintendo was a joke..mostly casual BS.

  6. You guys don't even know how lucky you are. In Poland, there are no ramen noodles. There are these similar things - but it's never as good as the real Ramen noodles.

    Pete

Accepting Care Packages of Ramen Noodles

You live in the land of kiełbasa, pierogi & beer. I'd take those over lousy Ramen noodles anyday lol

  7. While I'd like to see FM stay true to its roots, can't say I'm upset about it becoming a third person shooter. But whenever Square ventures out of the RPG world they achieve disastrous results.

Maybe it was a sales decision to change FM...look how well Valkyria Chronicles sold...

  8. This isn't surprising

    http://kotaku.com/5273403/esrb-confirms-fi...vii-for-ps3-psp

Released last month on PlayStation Network in Japan, Final Fantasy Vee-Eye-Eye is on the way to North America's PSN soon, as this ESRB rating now confirms. You can play it on PS3 or PSP.

FFVII came out 12 long years ago for the original PlayStation, and was the first of the series to feature 3D graphics. Groundbreaking doesn't begin to describe its influence. Spoiler alert: Aeris dies.

Might buy it..been many years since I beat FF7 but this is going to look awful on HDTVs...

  9. Finally Fallout 3 DLC for the PS3. The only reason I didn't buy it. I'll wait for the GOTY edition

    http://kotaku.com/5260907/fallout-3-dlc-an...new-dlc-for-all

The wait is finally over for Playstation 3 owners, this morning Bethesda announced that downloadable content will be coming to the PS3 version of Fallout 3. They also revealed two new DLC packs for all.

Operation: Anchorage will hit the PS3 in late June, followed by the release of The Pitt and Broken Steel four to six weeks apart. In addition, a new patch will be released for the PS3 that will let gamers download and play the new DLC.

As rumored, there are also two new DLCs planned for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360:

Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content. Point Lookout will be available in late June for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Point Lookout will be available on PS3 after the first three DLCs have been released.

Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they're pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you're tough enough to survive. Mothership Zeta is scheduled for release in late July for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Mothership Zeta will be available on PS3 after Point Lookout.

Finally, Bethesda plans to release some of the DLC on disc this summer and a Game of the Year edition this October.

Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 includes The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC on May 26. The Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 includes Broken Steel and Point Lookout on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC in August.

Retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible and the DLC will only be available for download online via PlayStation Network.

A Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available in October. It will include the original game plus all five add-ons for $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $49.99 for PC.

Stay tuned for our impressions of Point Lookout, which will be playable at E3 this year.

  10. Well its official

Fox: Sarah Connor Chronicles has been officially canceled. "[sarah Connor] has completed its run," Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly confirmed at a press conference this morning. "I think it had a nice little run. It was a good show. It was not an either or [with Dollhouse]. We did see it tailing off a bit [in the ratings]. It had a nice creative core, but, ultimately, we made the bet on Dollhouse, so that's it for [sarah Connor]... We make no apologies. We gave it a lot of support and some consistent scheduling. We tried and thought it was time to move on."

maybe it will get picked up by another network since its not produced by Fox? Me doubts it...unless T4 does huge numbers..

  11. Sounds like its done. Fox is supposed to announce its schedule today.

    http://tv.ign.com/articles/983/983839p1.html

May 17, 2009 - Considering that there has been virtually no talk of any discussions to bring the series back in the past few weeks, this is hardly surprising news, but it's obviously unfortunate for fans of the show (myself included!) to learn that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been cancelled. While the cancellation was already rumored by many, multiple sources are now reporting the show is indeed gone and won't be on FOX's 2009-2010 schedule when it's announced tomorrow.

Last week, in what was a surprise move, FOX did renew the show that was airing alongside Terminator on Friday nights this spring - their other very low-rated, cult genre show -- Dollhouse. The fact that FOX would renew either Dollhouse or Terminator was an extreme long shot given their ratings. And while Terminator -- which ended its season earlier -- was the lower rated of the two while they aired together, Dollhouse's overall viewers dropped even lower than Terminator's had been by the end of its season.

So why was Dollhouse the show that was saved? According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network did take a look at the show's strong DVR and online viewership, and the fact that the DVD sales would likely be very good – a fairly safe bet, given Joss Whedon's loyal fandom. While it's easy to counter that all of these elements were also present for Terminator, in the end, it may have come down to the studios making the show. Terminator was produced by Warner Bros, while Dollhouse is produced by 20th Century Fox. That being the case, FOX wouldn't benefit from DVD sales or other auxillery money made from Terminator, while obviously Fox the studio and FOX the network are corporate siblings, so there were likely considerations taken as to how Dollhouse could benefit the companies as a whole that could not help Terminator.

  12. Got it from one of the local shops over here. =)

Bought SF4 a few days back. All the memories started coming back and I felt like a kid again... and I realized how much I still suck at it :p Ah well, still fun!

Anybody bought the Wolverine game? Seems the reviews are saying it's a pretty decent movie game and true to wolvie's nature... lotsa flying body parts ;)

Played the Woverine demo...not bad. Its like playing God of War. The demo was more violent than the movie.

  13. They are weak points on other toys, but not on the v1 1/60. It may also help that the hinges are locked into place securely both on it, and the 1/48.

The only weak point I ever encountered on the V1 1/60 was the plastic surrounding the hip joint had cracked. Happened to me twice.

Amazing that V2 is still having these shoulder problems...

and amazing to me after all these years that members here still shrug off Yamatos crap QC. Both old and new members....must be something in the plastic...lol
