The color is a tough call. Looking at those three pics posted earlier displaying the purple canopy in two of them it looks like it's a flat gray, in the last it looks like there's blue in it. Also the lineart example with the fold booster has a blue tint too. Personally, I don't want the blue. I'd be happy if this gray went darker and closer to black.

So, since many have been saying that the VF-19 Kai has a McDonalds color scheme, just for fun, I made my own interpretation of how the VF-19 Kai would look like it it had a real McDonalds color scheme with it being mostly yellow, some red and some white.
Quite different from the very un-McDonalds blazing red awesomeness that is the VF-19 Kai. Picture courtesy of M3.
That Valk's feet aren't red like Ronalds! I'm passing on this Valk.

I'll bet that's exactly the same dark gray and yellow color as Gamlin's 22.

There goes my speculation about the super parts being included... I wonder how much that bundle is going to cost us now?
-
So, no word yet whether this will include the FAST packs or not?
Maybe that's why it costs more? Wishful thinking I'm sure, but would be a nice surprise.
Check the nose and canopy profile in that pic--seems to be more like the new Yamato than the much-quoted "official lineart".
You beat me to it. I noticed that very same thing.

I love this thing. It's interesting to note that there are no screws used for any part of the construction process. It's pretty much a snap-fit kit.
I really wish this could accomodate the T-Rex Zent. It would have been awesome as part of a great diorama piece.
Really? What about glue and sanding and all of that? And why aren't there more pictures of these things!?!

I'm more interested in what Yamato's reaction to a 1/60 Fz-109 was.
-
How likely are those hints to pan out now? If the 17 sells well there will likely be a 17T and the 11Kai to completely Sound Force. I would imagine those would be made first before any theoretical 4 is done.
-
I didn't notice the "vs" part of the post title and got all excited that Yamato was issuing it's 1/3000 SDF-1 in TV colors...but alas...
Pete
I've been waiting for one of those too.

The last time I had something shipped was via EMS and it was 3200 yen which is $42. I added that to the total cost of the Valks based on pre-order prices at Amiami and HLJ for shipment to the US. That's 22,550 or $297 for shipping for the VF-19.
-
Based on what I usually pay for shipping from HLJ, this is to the US so you're mileage may vary, I estimate the VF-17 will be $325. Depending on who you are that $25 up or down may or may not matter. The change in the value of yen and the US dollar really is murder right now.
-
I know, but VF-1's are only around $100 a piece, not in the vicinity of $275 shipped a piece
You asked. I replied. It's not cheap. The way I look at it, there aren't too many more of these things to buy anyway. Instead of three (or six) VF-1's I'll have one VF-19.
-
I don't want to jump the gun on this one. Is the difference between the S and F versions simple just the change of the number of head lasers and a white rather than yellow stripe scheme?
Don't know if such minimalistic changes will warrant another $250. Might just stick it out till the F variant comes out.
The difference is the head configuration and paint color. No more different then the VF-1 schemes/configurations.

PM about Ghost Booster.

Mine was also in the JFK sorting facility on the 23rd, and mine's due to arrive today. I suspect that unless they decided to be a-holes and hold yours, you should also be getting yours today.
Interesting that Graham and a few others didn't have paint chip problems out of the box, I wonder if this happened during part of the run, or if it was a bit here and there throughout the entire run.

Mine was held in LA and they never even got around to updating the status until after it had already arrived at my house. It could be the same for the both of you.
I haven't noticed any paint chips on mine either but I will admit I'm not nearly as precise with these things as other people are.
Did anybody have any problems with really tight joints on their 25? The entire left side of the thing was a bear. Popping the leg down from the knee was a bitch. Separating the hip on the let-side was a bitch. Adjusting anything on the arm was a real chore to not feel like I was going to break the thing. The right side felt fine, I'm even slightly concerned the right side foot could be a little bit too loose.

I tried to take some extra pictures for everyone waiting/living vicariously through the more lucky of us but I don't have any sort of set-up for taking professional pictures and the best lighting in my house is beneath the skylight in my kitchen. Unfortunately coupling this damn early sundown in winter-time with when I get home from work means I can't take any pictures with decent lighting until the weekend.

Still looking for some feedback. Any readers out there willing to give it a shot. The arc is complete, now:
Start here: http://www.fanfictio...otown_Chapter_1
I managed to give it a quick once over last night between fidgeting with my VF-25. It's not a bad read but could use an editor in several spots.

Just got a call, mine showed up about two hours ago. Can't wait to get home (and finish my 2 hours of exercise) before playing with it.

Did all of you guys miss all the sales on the 11-B and C?
I got both of mine pretty cheap from HLJ 120-130 on sale.
I think it was towards the end of the year and possibly free fed-ex.
Was within the same year of the release for both models, that they went on heavy discount.
I love them both!
I got one of my 11C's on discount from HLJ but it sure wasn't 130. I think I got it for 150 or 160. I wish I had grabbed two at the time.
-
Can anyone help me catch up with what is going on? I saw a preorder for thsi on BBTS. One thing I need to know is, can the main rifle fold in half and store inside the leg like in the show?
The main rifle does fit into the leg though it's through a hatch in the back behind the knee instead of popping out the side like the animation.

I'd have to say it's probably my 1/60 V2 Yammie VF-1A Max. He was always my favorite character and I was never able to get any sort of VF toy when I was a kid (not even a Transformers knock-off) so it meets two goals at once.
-
Anxiously awaiting mine while it sits in customs in LA right now. It shouldn't take too long to get from California to New Mexico but it's the "quality" of service here in Albuquerque that has me the most worried. I wish it were coming Fed Ex.

hah....might as well display the macross 7 stuff until the new ones arrive =)
Look at those 3 C's! I wish I had a third one...
You know, thinking about it (and looking at your little collection) Yamato has done an amazing job recreating every line as full as possible. WE've got the 19S and F coming (plus the P), 17S and D coming, plus they're thinking about a 17T and 11Kai. Other than the VF11 Protect Armor and the VF-5000 that's the ENTIRE Macross 7 lineup. That's impressive.

My payment is in too. I hope it shows up before next weekend!

Hmm, I just realized getting this 17 on time is going to be rough. Yamato usually ships the last Friday of the month, correct? That will be the 30th... but Japan is nutty for being off on the New Year. That means we probably won't see anything moving until the end of that first week of January.
