1/60 vf-1a max tv from hlj. I'd love to get the discounted 1j hikaru too but I don't wanna risk shoulder crack or impossible crotch

Not a huge fan of dyrl. Or at least the designs. The colouring from SDFM is more interesting to me.

well....I think I've decided to stick with the 1/60 vermillian squad from tv..... and destroids.... and a Q-rau...... and a vf25.... oh crap...that 1/100 bandai vf-1j looks pretty sweet too.

I realize this may have been a silly topic but it also means I'm gonna have to build a new bookshelf for the dining room........

After receiving my vf-25f a few weeks ago I couldn't help myself when I saw the sale going on at HLJ. So I sprung for a vf-1a max (tv) now that I have broken my rule I fear that I'm about to embark on a long and expensive road. However, the one ethic I MUST retain is that I will not purchase a valk with a broken shoulder or an impossible crotch system. *prays I can stick with my code* Thank God my wife is supportive of my macross illness. She refers to it as my "japanese investments"

I'm guessing they wanted to make a collectible so that people would buy a second Alto....but people thought the colour was stupid. Which is why I got a fastpack vf-25f WITH fast packs AND a stand for clearance prices.

Good lord, that is such a great price for the 1J hikaru.....But i have sworn off of anything that might have a broken shoulder....

personally, I see SDFM to be the real story. I'm not really a fan of the way DYRL explained everything. The whole sunken city thing didn't quite work for me.

Lets not even TALK about my (accidentally purchased) 1/60 V1 VF1J. It never came CLOSE to battloid mode.

I really should get one of those just to save the headaches.... But I feel like I got totally ripped off if I can't have it in all forms. So far, the 1/48 is king.

My 1/48 wasn't much of a problem....but my 1/60 roy Good lord. Between two cracked shoulders and a crotch system that (if it actually works) is impossible, I'll just leave it in fighter mode. Now I'm working on a 1/60 vf-25f...... i really wish the instructions were in english. The dudes who do the videos make it look so easy.

I agree. The 1J is definitely the most iconic. It's like the x-wing fighter of macross

if that get's good review AND they make more styles, I may totally abandon yamato

it actually looks pretty sweet. I gotta say, that non-transforming matchbox robotech vf-1s fighter jet they had was always a guilty pleasure. to confess even more blasphemy, I actually prefer jetfire to the macross chunkies...... There's something about that blunt nosecone that makes me think "safety"

well, I finally tried to transform my 1/60 vf-1s fokker. I had been holding off doing so because of the shoulder crack. I added crazy glue and gave it a go. This thing was a nightmare to transform! I never could get the crotch to actually fit in to the nose cone, the neck wouldn't fully sit down and the shoulders just flopped around like a mess. Honestly, I don't know why these are held up so highly. Unless yamato figures this all out, I'm going back to 1/48.

yeah, tv versions seem that much cooler....

I would also REALLY like a highly detailed SDF Macross as a display piece. TV show style and In ship form. doesn't need to transform. Maybe 10" long. That would be sweet. Something that would look really nice next to a galactica or enterprise...

incidentally, I just posted the phrase "Green Q-rau!!!!" on another forum by mistake. It was COMPLETELY out of context.....

Although the revys look cool, they're WAY exaggerated. Where do those zentradi logos come from that are on the revys? I never saw them in either SDFM or dyrl.
