  1. DOH!!!!! :o That's what happens when you drink beer and decal Valks late at night!!!
  2. agreed. I would go $200 for an assembled, painted one. I mean COME ON YAMATO, IT DOESN'T EVEN TRANSFORM FOR F*CKS SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Ok guys.....my final 1:60 ver.2....(I think)....Roy's VF-1S TV. Took a while and went the extra mile to make this one come out perfect on panel lines and decals...used 1:48 water slides...yeh, I know...but honestly, if I hadn't TOLD you they were 1:48's and not 1:60's, would you really have known??? I love the way they came out..far better than stickers IMHO. Anyways, here are some pics of the final product....didn't do much weathering on it, kinda wanted it pristine looking..... FYI--1:60 Figures by EXO...(he rocks)
  4. Here's hoping bud!!!
  5. I agree, I have the old Matchbox SDF 1 displayed with all my Yamato stuff, and it's a great size..if the 1:3000 DYRL SDF-1 is around that size and anywhere under $3-$400 bucks, I will get it. TV version would be just tooooo sweet! You guys hoping for $250 or less are dreaming...This IS Yamato we're talking about here guys......
  6. I don't think that particular sale is still going on--it was called the "Decal-ture" sale or something like that...but they still have some good sale prices on some Valks goin on.... http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?word2=&series2=Macross&scale2=All&Dis=-2&GenreCode=Sci&MacroType=Toy&Maker1=YMT&SeriesID=All&searchpage=Scitop
  7. Cool. I'll wait to do jumping jacks until I see a price....
  8. HLJ was shipping them with some items they had on sale about a month or so ago, got mine with my Gamlin VF-22.
  9. After much thought, I have decided to go ahead and use my 1:48 water slides on my 1:60 ver 2 VF-1S TV Focker......Most are almost the same size, and with no stupid clear flashing around them, the result is so far pretty sweet!! 1:60 water slides should be mandatory with every release, or at least an optional buy from Yamato--they just look SO much better than the stickers.....
  10. That's sweet! And the Glaug news IS AWESOMEEEEE!!!!!
  11. Yamato has failed me here....I realized getting a 1:60 Monster was prob never gonna happen, but I REALLY thought they would do all the others........
  12. I have 4 of these now...1 heavy missile, and 3 normal, dirtied them up a little bit, and they look pretty darn good (real darn good for the price) next to all my 1:60 ver 2's. I think the Toynami idiots might be onto something with these...I am hoping for many other varients and the Glaug maybe down the line??? Also, us Mospeada guys could only PRAY for some Invid figs.... I'm cool with the scale, as true 1:60 would be damned hard to display because of the sheer height. Anybody know when and if they are gonna release the next missile variant???
  13. Got my box of goodies today! Everything is awesome! Great job!
  14. Well, my water slide decals HLJ gave me with my VF-22, turns out they are 1:48...GReeeaaaaat.....REALLY wanted to do up my TV Roy with them......oh well...anybody want a set of water slide VF-1 1:48 decals???? :(
  15. I am usually a sticker/decal freak when it comes to planes of any kind, but there is a part of me that because of the way a lot of Yamato stickers look after placement that makes me sometimes shy away from using all of them, especially on the darker color planes....The white and off white planes though look pretty darn good all with all the "No Steps" in red or black or whatever. Along with doing panel lines, it really ads a lot of detail. That being said, I also have this weird craving with my new VF-1S TV to leave it with just that "TV" anime look, and only do the minimum "must have" decals....
  16. Well, I gave the Virgin Road canopy a good scrubbing with the Tamiya Thinner and a q-tip....It kinda worked...It took most of the rainbow off, not all. might try again later...still looks better than it did I guess. I display that one with the cockpit open, so it's not mucho important.
  17. "I would so be in for a 1/60 Dark Bird and U.N. Headquarters Guard. I mean, why not? They've done every other Valk I can think of. The Dark Bird is particularly striking."-----------------my sentiment exactly!
  18. Awesome! Thanks Kyp! I am gonna give that a shot here in a bit on my Virgin Road VF-1D...just for the record, I also LIKE the rainbow coating effect...but not when it crinkles...so I can deal with not having it...
  19. Thanks! Now if I can stop buying Yamato Toys...maybe I can make my house payments!
  20. It's clear. As are all the other "newish" 1:60's. Yamato kindly stopped doing it after so many people bitched about it crinkling up. Only my Virgin Road has a minor case of crinkle but it is annoying. I thought I read somewhere around here there was a way to strip it off the canopy, but I can't remember where I read that..... anybody know???
  21. Here ya go...sorry..was too lazy to transform em.... I was on the fence about getting this as well, but I'm glad I did!
  22. Got mine today!!!! Guess it really WAS the last one AmiAmi had in stock....haha! Good Times! I LOVE it!!! it's different enough to like over the DYRL version! Can't wait to panel line it and use my free waterslide VF-1 decals I got from HLJ! this shall be my crowning Valk to display..(as long as I don't screw up)
