  1. While re-watching macross frontier, I'm having fun posing my valks to match some scenes! The arms are very posable but the legs on these bandai vf-25 are so limited because of the stupid intakes hitting the back of the body!!
  2. Good catch! I'm rewatching Macross Frontier and just noticed it on ep7. Guess it's "right"
  3. I needed a little excitement with my toys so I got them fighting each other You're not a vajra!! You're not getting away! You're mine...
  4. I got so annoyed with the arm armor popping off that I gave up and just left the arm armor off. I'll give it another try later today if no one else replies
  5. Is it bugging anyone that the chest missile bay has the hinge on the inside rather than the outside?
  6. Alto actually looks pretty good with ozma's armor. i especially like the one you took with the missile pods opened. I was always hesistant about using the included stands but ur pics make it look pretty good
  7. @VF-18S Hornet The cannon folders look good. I actually like that VF-1A head sculp. Man I wish I had more money in my toy budget. Maybe I'll have to start selling off transformers. And I totally wished Yamato set up an office in the US... darn legal stuff
  8. Same thing on my wing but I didn't care too much bout it since it's either pegged to the leg in fighter mode or folded back in battroid mode. Guess it won't be good if you're into the gerwalk mode. Side panel is just loose for me Paint chipped in various parts Looks like I got the same batch of armored VF-25S as you!
  9. If you have to choose between the two, you probably like the designs equally, so i'd suggest the yamato as they are much more model-like than the toy like DX. I like the VF-25 design so i went with three VF-25. But i have 2 yamatos too But personally, i think thankheaven is probably right... u'll end up getting both at some point.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion macrossnake! you're right.. it was the chest piece:
  11. Yep. with the armor pack it doesn't stick that much higher over the armor. i tried to tilt it down like the picture.
  12. I was trying to pose the armored VF-25S to look like the anime version for my review but it didn't turn out so well. Edit: thanks to macrossnake for pointing out the mis transformed chest piece in my original pic
  13. I got paint chips on my armored too... at the back of the left shoulder. I finished my review of the Armored Ozma custom VF-25S: Link Let me know what you think
  14. LOL Vifam7 was right about the family mart colors since the latest photo clearly shows Family Mart along the cockpit. I'm really liking the look of the YF-19. i don't have any 1/100 valks so I don't think i'll pick one up. Hope it's successful enough they make a 1/60 version.
  15. My first "Macross" I always wanted a Jetfire when I was young. I had never heard of Macross when I was young but I knew of Robotech but never understood why they never sold the "hero" robots until recently. Then I got my first real Macross!! Thanks to Jenius for this blog Anymoon.com for helping me decide on the specific version of the VF-1S to buy
  16. As I buyer I wouldn't touch the Yamato V1. I was very tempted by the low price but I didn't like the PT aspect. I'd go 1/48 or /160 V2. Only thing going for the V1 is low price... so maintaining value? I don't think so.
  17. Thanks for the tip! I have the same problem. I was pondering using some pliers to pinch the clips inside the slot closer together so it latchs onto the T-shaped tab better... but i'm worried i'd just break off the clips... guess i'll have to see how well the nail polish thing holds for me
  18. You guys got me convinced to buy the flexidisplay. What's the best length to buy? I have the 6 inch on order but it seems a bit too long for a VF-25
  19. From watching the anime, in robotic mode Macross Quarter is a lot more manuveurable since it can then position the main engine in any direction like when it moved behind that asteroid. Also, you can't do a pin point punch and pull your hand back out unless you ram the whole ship in. I guess you could do that but that doesn't look cool at all.
  20. Once you have the armor on, it's hard to tell the color difference since the armor covers the shield, the part right behind the pilot, and half of the wing. I could live with it. I just wouldn't take off the armor
  21. LOL SO TRUE!! Well i doubt Bandai will retool the toy. they rarely do. We'll have to wait for another company to do it right... hoepfuly Yamato gets it quickly
  22. I think he's talking about this piece: That part slides down to attach the shield. I just leave it in the down position and never bother to push it back up in battroid mode.
  23. LOL! I still like the DX line even though it's not line accurate. page 17 doesn't look like the VF-25 leg is higher up in jet mode. looks the same to me but now with armor parts.
  24. wow that Macross Quarter is looking really good.. about the same size as the VF-25's. I wasn't planning to buy it but these pics are warming me up to the idea. If it comes out a month before Ozma armored then I'm getting it.
