Seriously thinking of starting a Macross 7 thread just for those of us that like the series, so that we can discuss it in peace. Anybody posting negative comments in that thread, e.g. "Macross 7 sucks", "Valks with faces are gay" etc will have their posts deleted. Repeat offenders, those that constantly post crap in the thread will face a ban. Graham

Yeah, I agree with Andy, if the VF-11 is not coming until the end of 2005, it's unlikely that we will see a magazine announcement for it for several months yet. Patience folks. Graham

Looking closely at the groin armor it looks like the nosecone cover is a separate piece and not molded as one-piece with the groin armor. You can clearly see the line between the groin armor proper and the additional nosecone cover. I think Yamato have chosen to go both ways with the GBP, you either have the Valk with no nosecone and no nosecone cover, or you keep the nosecone on the Valk and use the nosecone cover. (gawd... is this what life has come to, starring at robots groins ). Graham

*whistles* Gawd...for that kinda money, one would at least expect him to follow the reference pictures and paint it to actual color. It looks great...but the blue really bothers me.... I've since found another painter who should be able to do similar quality work (and get the colors right) for half the price. The next custom toy might be a conversion of a Yamato Mac Plus VF-11B FP to Mac 7 VF-11C colors. Graham

There is going to be a Tenjin Hidetaka Art Work Valkyries book released this month. For those who don't know, Tenjin is the talented artist who does the Macross box art for the Hasegawa Macross model kits. He has also done many other Macross illustrations, such as the Japanese R2 Macross Plus 2 box DVD set and some of the illustrations on the Macross 2000 calendar. I originally wanted the screw holes puttied over and the knees and hips modified, but it would have cost me too much, so in the end I just went with the paint job. Graham

Now for the Konami Cylon Basestar. I haven't taken any pics of the Cylon figure or the box yet. Graham
