  1. Seriously thinking of starting a Macross 7 thread just for those of us that like the series, so that we can discuss it in peace. Anybody posting negative comments in that thread, e.g. "Macross 7 sucks", "Valks with faces are gay" etc will have their posts deleted. Repeat offenders, those that constantly post crap in the thread will face a ban. Graham
  2. Yeah, I agree with Andy, if the VF-11 is not coming until the end of 2005, it's unlikely that we will see a magazine announcement for it for several months yet. Patience folks. Graham
  3. Release date is scheduled for April 14th, but these things usually slip. Graham
  4. A non-MWer friend of mine just sent me the following email: - In case macrossworld does not know yet, copy and pasted from rec.arts.anime.misc --------------------------------- Current Product Specials include (first price is SRP, second price is sale price): [snipped non-macross products] av002230 Macross, Super Dimensional Fortress DVD Box Set 1 (S) (eps 1-12) $69.98 $37.99 av002231 Macross, Super Dimensional Fortress DVD Box Set 2 (S) (eps 13-24) $69.98 $37.99 av002232 Macross, Super Dimensional Fortress DVD Box Set 3 (S) (eps 25-36) $69.98 $37.99 (Remember that the Macross license for AnimEigo has lapsed; these are the all new boxes that were left. When they're gone, no more will be made.) ------------------------------------------------------ I've no idea if these sale price figures are good, as I don't bother keeping track of prices of the AnimEigo DVDs as I bought my set when they first came out. Hope this info is useful. Graham
  5. The guy charges so much that I would have ended up paying double if I wanted the screw holes and seams filled. Graham
  6. Anybody heard any news about toys and/or models coming of the updated designs? Graham
  7. Not with those wing things. The only pic with those wing things is the fighter mode one already posted Graham
  8. Looking closely at the groin armor it looks like the nosecone cover is a separate piece and not molded as one-piece with the groin armor. You can clearly see the line between the groin armor proper and the additional nosecone cover. I think Yamato have chosen to go both ways with the GBP, you either have the Valk with no nosecone and no nosecone cover, or you keep the nosecone on the Valk and use the nosecone cover. (gawd... is this what life has come to, starring at robots groins ). Graham
  9. I'm betting that the nose cone cover will be a removeable part. Graham
  10. It seems so. It's already shown that it features his Mac Plus DVD cover art. Graham
  11. Don't forget the long lead time in print magazine publishing. Graham
  12. *whistles* Gawd...for that kinda money, one would at least expect him to follow the reference pictures and paint it to actual color. It looks great...but the blue really bothers me.... I've since found another painter who should be able to do similar quality work (and get the colors right) for half the price. The next custom toy might be a conversion of a Yamato Mac Plus VF-11B FP to Mac 7 VF-11C colors. Graham
  13. Ya mean is he like Keanu.........'Dude'! Graham
  14. Looks like it cmes with a DVD as well. Graham
  15. And another....you get the idea. Graham
  16. Here's another. Graham
  17. I provided several pics from magazines and and also screen shots from the anime. I'll post some. Graham
  18. She was flying the red VF-22S in Encore. Graham
  19. Not sure, but hopefully it will have all his work for Hasegawa, up to and including the Macross Zero kits box art. Graham
  20. It cost about US$200. And nope, no progress pics were provided. Graham
  21. (Cross Posted in the Movie & TV Series Forum) MWer Major Tom brought this to my attention. As he hasn't posted the news in the forums, I thought I would post it. There is going to be a Tenjin Hidetaka Art Work Valkyries book released this month. For those who don't know, Tenjin is the talented artist who does the Macross box art for the Hasegawa Macross model kits. He has also done many other Macross illustrations, such as the Japanese R2 Macross Plus 2 box DVD set and some of the illustrations on the Macross 2000 calendar. I've been wanting someone to publish his work in book form for ages. You can preorder it here: - http://www.hlj.com/product/KOB90124 Graham

  23. I originally wanted the screw holes puttied over and the knees and hips modified, but it would have cost me too much, so in the end I just went with the paint job. Graham
  24. Now for the Konami Cylon Basestar. I haven't taken any pics of the Cylon figure or the box yet. Graham
  25. Now the Konami Battlestar Galactica. Note, the Battlestars Pegasus & Atlantia (which I didn't buy) are identical, except for the name printed on the side of the hanger. Graham
