  3. Unfortunately, all the Wendys closed down and pulled out of Hong Kong years ago, as did Jack-in-the-box & Burger King . For US fast food, all we are left with is about a gazillion McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut and a couple of branches of Hardees, but they are probably also close to closing as well. There ends your lesson on the US fast food scene in HK for today. Graham
  4. I have no idea what you are talking about. But all this talk of chickens has made me want to go out and buy some McNuggets for lunch. Graham
  5. And at what speed, cause the mech have to move faster than the turret tracking it and the mach 5 projectile fired at it? Ah, but everbody knows that in giant robot anime, shots fired travel slowly enough that they can be seen by the human eye and easily dodged at the last second by a 60 ton giant robot. Happens all the time in Gundam animes, especially with the slow moving beams from their beam rifles . Graham
  6. Soon to be destroyed Graham
  7. My wife has never really been that supportive of my toy collecting, but neither has she been against it either. If there is a toy that I really like, my wife has always said "if it's something you really want, then I don't mind you buying it". However, in the past 5 years, my collection has grown and grown (mainly due to Yamato), to the point where I don't have enough space in my small house for all my toys, and I've had to start storing the overflow of toys (6 cartons worth) at the office . However, we're at the stage where my wife is starting to bitch and moan (bitch being the opperative word...yes we had an argument this morning ) about downsizing my collection, especially as our 10 month old baby is very mobile and needs more space. 8. I've read unconfirmed rumors (I forget where I read it) that even the non-AP 5.7mm ball ammo will penetrate soft body armor. Anybody know if this is true or not? I forget if the rumor was talking about NIJ level II or IIIA armor though. Graham
  9. I'm up to episode # 23 so far, but I am starting to go off Destiny a bit. No specific reason I can pin down. I just don't seem to be enjoying the recent episodes as much. Perhaps it's because there seems to be too much emphasis on the original SEED characters now rather than the Destiny gang. I will carry on and stick with the series to the end though. Hopefully I'll start enjoying it more again. Main reasons for getting rid of the MSiAs are too many toys and serious lack of space. I've been buying a lot of books and DVDs recently, so some toys need to be cleared out to make room, and MSiAs being the lowest quality toys I own will always be first on the chopping block. I am very happy with the MMM GQ figures. I'm still considering whether to pick up the HCM Pro Impulse for my desk at work. Graham
  10. So 3 days after my book arrives from amazon.co.jp, I get the shipping notice from HLJ that the second one I ordered has shipped. I'm guessing 3-4 days before it arrives, so that makes about a week's difference delivery time between amazon.co.jp and HLJ. Graham
  11. I'm generally a beer man with Fosters being my prefered brew these days. I do like the odd pint of Strongbow cider now and again though. When not drinking beer or cider, I can be found with either a rum and coke or a screwdriver in hand. Graham
  12. The title of this thread is a little unclear. Are you talking about the 20th Anniversery DVD? Graham
  13. I'm selling off all my Destiny & SEED MSiA. Details in this thread in the 'For Sale' Forum. First come, first served. Graham
  14. I don't think the 1/12 Zaku had any leg articulation, so forget sitting poses. Graham

    Macross MMO

No interest in a Macross MMO PC game. All I wanna do is fly 3D Valkyries and blow stuff up. Still waiting for either VF-X3 or a M0/M+ game for the PS2, then I'll be happy. Graham
  16. No idea, can't recall the last time I saw one for sale. Graham
  17. From the photo it looks like pulling on the triggger guard partially retracts the slide so that you can check the chamber. Is that correct? Looks like an accident waiting to happen IMO. I can just see somebody accidently pulling on the trigger instead of the trigger guard...BOOM.....instant AD. or perhaps ND would be more appropriate. Graham
  18. Err.....if you mean the Macross Zero pictures that Nanashino posted on the previous page, they are by Tenjin Graham
  19. Ahem, don't you mean model 629! Stainless steel remember. Graham
  20. Just noticed something interesting last night. In the book, Tenjin has modified the pic of the Fighter mode VF-1S Strike Valk Hasegawa box art. On the original box art, the VF had no weapons mounted on the wings. However for the full page pic shown in the book, Tenjin has added RMS-1 & UMM-7 missiles and also added some extra Valks in the background. It was a great pic originally, but looks far better now IMO. A small thumbnail of the original unmodified pic is shown in the bokk opposite the full page modified pic. Graham
  21. I'm with you there, I don't like it either. Graham
  22. So what do you think of them? How accurate is the sculpt, as you are our resident Viper expert. I love mine and might try to pick up a third Viper. Graham
  23. Wouldn't it be funny if every single person on Galactica actually turned out to be a Cylon. Who knows, they could have actually made more than 12 models. Graham
  24. Yep, saw that green one here in one of the Hong Kong TRU at the weekend. Graham
  25. I had the chance to buy this back when it first came out in 1997(?). One of the local Branches of Animate imported one and it sat in the store window for several months before somebody bought it. I wasn't very impressed by the detailing, sculpt or material so I passed it up. Yes, it is PVC, but I think it was a hard PVC like the GFF figures, rather than soft PVC like on MSiAs. As you can see from the MW link above, it came prepainted and mostly assembled, with just some minor assembly required, like attaching the wings, tails, landing gear and missiles. And no the landing gear were not retractable AFAIK. I think the only moving part on the who thing were the wings, which from the pictures seem to have variable sweep. Graham
