    He clearly hasn't read this thread. Hell, we have mods advocating that we contribute to the kickstarter. Outside of Seto (who, yes, knows his stuff even if I disagree with his point of view), there isn't a whole lot of animosity coming out of this thread, besides of some heckling of their story ideas and design concepts. HG dug themselves into this hole with no assistance from us whatsoever. I've said it before and I'll say it again: HG has no real impact on the international Macross fandom anymore. They're irrelevant to us. So yeah, this guy lives in his own reality.

    Robotech far surpassed anything Macross accomplished, but he wishes that little franchise well; why can't you do the same for his American classic?

    I guess the idea is that the Sentinel comics are part of Robotech's expanded universe that surpasses anything done with Macross. But that's just a guess, I couldn't stomach watching the whole thing.

    I actually kinda feel bad for the guy. We're coming off of Frontier and awaiting more news on the new series, and he has two OVAs (one of very poor quality and one recycled from the 80s) and a failed kickstarter.

    Fixed that for you. BTW, they said durning the panel that the game was years away. I assume that to mean 2016.

    So Transformers and Robotech both based designs off of a real-world vehicle. Shocking. I've never seen that before. The design is piss-poor (in both cases), but you guys really are appearing desperate for anything that you can use to knock the KS.

    Games Radar Report More info, it does indeed appear that the story of the new Mass Effect takes place during Shepard's lifetime. Edit: Mass Effect wiki is reporting that the timeline was not discussed, only that we may see some old characters. Also, it sounds like this game takes place in galaxy other than our own. The (not literal) name of the game is exploration.

    Details from Comic Con's Mass Effect Panel This is coming from Game Informer, with more details to come this evening. Pics of the new Mako and the male and female armored character models shown. One report I read had the new game taking place during Shepard's lifetime, and that some old characters might appear. I suspect they meant era, as the designs shown seem more advanced then what we saw in the trilogy. More info should be out this evening as the gaming media's reports start coming in.

    Seto, I used to be just like you, man. The "100% Pure Macross" slogan was my work a decade ago. I was as militant as they came. But it doesn't matter anymore. And as far as piracy meeting all my needs, I have no idea where you got that from. Yes, perhaps you waited for the official Frontier blu-rays (adding fansubs and reburning them to disc) before ever watching the series. I didn't, and neither did anyone else here. Hell, I streamed it live from Japan. I've also imported Bandai and Yamato valks in the past circumventing HG's blockade on Macross toys. And then there are the DVDs and books I own. But hey, Harmony Gold doesn't let us have any of that stuff, right? Can't get it and can't see it. Must have pirated that Gold Book.

    I get it, Seto. You hate HG with a passion and want nothing more than to see them fail. But I'm telling you, let it go. It's not worth it and it doesn't matter anymore.
