  1. Where did you get that idea from? Should we also say " I just hope this doesn't end up some sports game" or "I hope this doesn't end up some 2d side-scrolling game"?
  2. How the hell has A1 not commented on this yet?
  3. That Legioss is plain fantastic. I'm so happy to see it finished.
  4. Mass Effect ComicCon transcript clarifies a few details Initial reports from the Mass Effect ComicCon were largely based on people tweeting from within the event, and our own was no exception. We were indebted to Nerd Appropriates twitter coverage, and the same site has now put up a more in-depth transcript from the panel. With fuller responses to the questions now available, a few details about the new Mass Effect game be clarified and expanded upon. The Mako, according to Mike Gamble, is going to be fundamental to the game. BioWare is building a game about exploring places, and obviously [if you're] exploring places [you're going to need] a really handy vehicle. Its said to be capable of tearing around planets really quickly, and Make customisation is something the team has been looking at. Any remaining vagueness to these answers is most likely because the new Mass Effect title is still a number of years away. There were mumblings and suggestions that this might be the game in the series that finally allows non-human main characters in single player, but that seems as if it wont be the case. For sure your main character will be human but in terms of other playable races we cant talk about that at this point, Gamble said. Thats some interesting phrasing, and other playable races would presumably refer to either a return of co-operative multiplayer (hinted at elsewhere in the panel) or a system like Dragon Age: Inquisition where its possible to take control over other squad characters during combat. Regarding the point in time when the game might be set, Gamble says we still want to bring in elements of what you know and love about the previous trilogy that might include certain characters and it might not. So guaranteed, either way that we end up going youre going to see a certain amount of the old with the new. The races you know will to some degree still be present, and new races were also mentioned. Referring to a specific question about Mass Effect timelines and the new title, the reply was this What I will say is that (long sigh) youre NOT playing as Shepard and Shepard is not a central part of the story, so you can assume whatever you need to assume from that. We want to give players new places to explore [and] uncharted areas that havent been explored before.
  5. So I've noticed this group of super-earnest Robotech "fans" posting on the KS and a few times on the RT forums, and well, they're clearly not fans. They're obviously mocking them, but the real RT fans aren't catching on. It's just beyond me how they cannot see what's going on.
  6. Shady as hell, just like the business dealings of their owner.
  7. Transformers didn't steal anything from Diaclone; it literally is Diaclone (which existed solely as a toyline). As far as GI Joe stealing from SHIELD, well, the Marvel GI Joe comic established the modern mythos of the brand, and Marvel co-produced the cartoon series.
  8. Two discussions going on within the KS chat right now: a petition for HG to stop with their shenanigans, and yet another assertion that Robotech is successful around the world, and Macross, well, it's not doing all that well. What other fanbase is like this?
  9. Wait, Captain American finished his Legioss? I was following that thread for a while and I don't recall it ever being finished.
  10. Americans love a good redemption story.
  11. They don't have the talent to put together even a decent reboot. You can't go from something classic like the VF-1 to the shite they are developing now. Reboots aren't supposed to be a step backward (though, we know how often that works out, and those projects have a lot more funding behind them). They need to dump the creative staff, drop the message board, and focus on merchandising and licensing what they own. If they can show a healthy fan interest in Robotech merchandise, they may actually get that movie made (Hahaha, ok, maybe not).
  12. Dunno, a lot of time has passed. My point was I really don't see them as having any other options (and the MOSPEADA one isn't even what I'd call a "real" option).
  13. No, you're not sorry... not yet. BUT YOU WILL BE
  14. Oh, ok. Licensing. I'm also of the opinion that co-producing a real MOSPEADA sequel in Japan (with the intention to later adapt it to close out Robotech) is their best shot at doing anything. They don't possess the creative talent or experience to produce an a quality anime series on their own. They need to help finance a production and then later try to work on adapting it--assuming they could get anyone to bite on that (which is questionable at best).
  15. They can keep on keeping on for all I care. If it was being run like a real business (which it's not) this wouldn't go so well for them.
  16. And, of course, this is probably exactly what they'll do and say.
  17. Yeah, but it still says, "oh hey, we didn't really need that much, so here's another number that is a hell of a lot less than what we were asking for. Nevermind why we asked for so much to begin with."
  18. You can't change your KS goal or KS length. They'd have to put up a new KS.And really, if they put up a new KS for half as much, their initial ask for 500k would seem shady as hell.
  19. EXO, expect them to pick whatever option makes them look the shittiest. It's the blind leading the blind over there.
  20. Unless you want something dubbed you don't have to. You can order any product you want, and the anime and manga releases see regular translations. HG is irrelevant.
