  1. I disagree. I would say a majority of the fan base in NA who wanted to see Macross Zero has seen it already. Its been discussed here enough, and generally, outside of the mecha sequences (which everyone loves), it wasn't blowing anyone skirts up. No one hated it, but its not exactly something anyone is still excited about or really still talks about. Completest Macross fans would purchase it to go in the collection, but it certainly wasn't as new and exciting (and really, out of nowhere for most of us) like Macross Plus was back in the mid 90's. A proper release of DYRL? would stir the masses up, but I don't see 7 or Zero having that draw here.
  2. I totally agree. I was a LONG time AMD and ATi user, and when it came down to my new build, I went where the quality was.
  3. Good for you, Keith, no one cares. I think we can all agree that a vast majority of fans don't want to see something silly with the new Macross project.
  4. In my mid-teens I worked in a comic book store, and I was a collector. This was back in the early 90's, my first job. I stopped with all of it around '94. I still have several long boxes of books stored away that I'd love to just dump, but can't bring myself to do because of the money that was spent on them. But yeah, guy with a gun for an arm...
  5. That looks rather silly... like something that the immortal Rob Liefeld would come up with.
  6. AMD/ATi R600 reviews are streaming out now, and it looks like they blew their first foray into DX10. Not only are they playing catchup to Intel, they are now doing so to nVidia too. I'm quite happy to see my GeForce 8800 purchase was a solid choice.
  7. The Macross 7 spin off jokes got old 20 pages ago. This thread is dead in the water, lacking any real news.
  8. Yeah yeah yeah, whatever, I hope they don't blow this.
  9. Pretty much as expected, I hope its as good as he thinks it is.
  10. They released a rather large video patch for the PC game that bumped up the resolution on those FMV cut scenes. The TSLRP ending should be far more fleshed out and complete.
  11. TSLRP is coming really close to being finished. I think we'll see a release before the winter hits.
  12. No it wasn't. It never was. It never got good reviews from the press or those who played it. Its been one long train wreck from beginning to end.
  13. How would the story be difficult? You can fit all the classic class types into Force users, you've got a plentiful amount of Jedi and Sith, we have Mandalorians... what more could a Star Wars fan ask for out of an MMO?
  14. Being that the title would be KotOR, I am guessing we would see classes such as "Jedi Consular" or 'Sith Marauder", and not just "Jedi" or "Sith". Caster classes, DPS classes, etc, but all Light or Dark Side Force users. And, of course, they'll have to be Mandalorians!
  15. The original wasn't really all that buggy, atleast post-patches (which is how I played it). Bioware had nothing to do with II, outside of passing the game engine along to Obsidian. Obsidian's problem with that Microsoft and Lucasarts pushed the release date far before it was ready to go (and/or Obsidian set deadlines to get the job they could never meet).
  16. I think originally the rumor got started when Bioware announced they were working on an MMO, and everyone hoped they would see a KotOR game. As far as I know, this is the first time a major gaming mag picked up the story, and within spitting distance of the 30th Anniversary.
  17. Official launch dates for SWTOR: December 20, 2011 for North American, December 22, 2011 for Europe. I've stumbled across this report on several sites, but figured I'd throw up the one I found on TheForce.net. New Star Wars MMO in the works? 15:30, Apr 25th 2007 by Ben Parfitt Reports suggest BioWare is working on Knights of the Old Republic multiplayer online title. Widely celebrated as the best Star Wars game of recent years, rumours have emerged that RPG specialist BioWare is hard at work on an MMO version of its hugely popular Knights of the Old Republic franchise. CVG reports that the latest edition of US games print mag EGM includes the snippet in its Rumour section. No confirmation has been forthcoming from the developer as of yet, but were the game to emerge it would almost certainly be a sure-fire contender to better LucasArts’ previous MMO outing, the troubled Star Wars Galaxies. Knights of the Old Republic was a critical and commercial success upon its release on Xbox in 2003. Its fortunes were mirrored by an equally celebrated PC version shortly afterwards. Obsidian took over the reigns for the second instalment in 2005, which whilst failing to win over the critics was again another firm retail success. EGM also revealed a couple of other BioWare rumours. Namely, that current PC-only title Dragon Age will also be heading to PS3, and that the as-of-yet unspecified DS game already in development at the studio will be a new instalment in the Baldur’s Gate franchise.
  18. Generally you want to have your RAM paired up, so you run in dual channel.
  19. That's Super "Dimension" Fortress Macross, King.
  20. Everything that is wrong with the Macross universe can be summed up in one lyric.
  21. An Old Republic MMO done by another company would get my attention. Sure sure, I know, everybody is a Jedi, but think about the Mandalorians!
  22. Wikipedia states:
  23. Totally agree. I don't like any of the Force hocus-pocus stuff, either.
  24. Yeah, you can't mix Robotech and Macross timelines. It simply doesn't work.
  25. Except there was a Sith Academy. And Darth Traya, and considering the time line, Sion and Nihilus too. EU cannon, as it is, establishes Bane as the one who set down the rule of two. Otherwise, we end up with what we saw in the Old Republic period, with Sith spending more time fighting with eachother than against the Jedi.
