So, ok, Sheryl is the top Idol on the Galaxy Network AND hails from the Macross Galaxy fleet?

Yes, but I'm just wondering if we're misreading it, if its been lost in the translation. Is she literally from the Macross Galaxy fleet, or is she just the hot star they've been listening to on the Galaxy Network?

Ok, so, now we know the VF-25 is a UN Spacy's new main fighter. Its not a SMS exclusive. And the "private military force" reeks of defense contractors. The UN has to outsource its emigration fleet defense? Stretched too thin, or perhaps in a heavy engagement elsewhere...?

But somehow the "mecha fans who love planes" were mostly disappointed with Macross Zero. One could argue that it was the only thing Zero had going for it.

Let's not forget that half of the episodes of SDF Macross contained some of the worst animation and art I've ever seen. If the story is good I suspect we'll all forgive the ratio of CGI to cell.

We're probably all wrong, but our conclusions are fairly logical.

Most everything we've seen so far as SMS on it. I don't think its likely at this point to say its just "special forces".

Oh, on the heavily armored VF-25, reminds me of the Stampede a bit, with a touch of Metal Siren.

The VF-25 might be specific to the Frontier fleet (developed and deployed there). We already have the mystery of what exactly "SMS" stand for, and what it means. The Frontier fleet, numbering some 10 million people, may be, in some sense, independent from UN Spacey. Or maybe they just wanted to get new fighter into the series. They've been playing fast and loose with Macross for a long time now. Something seeming not reasonable, not probable, or just not fitting in, doesn't mean it is not what is going on. Yeah, and that picture Valkyrie addict posted has me a bit worried. I could really do without Spiritua and the mystical mumbo jumbo from Zero. I still think the series would be alot more fun if the Frontier had been a Megaroad class ship still looking to settle some 40 years after its launch.
