  2. I understand retailers not wanting to have shelf-warmers, but for characters like Optimus Prime and Soundwave, these are practically guaranteed to sell no matter how many you order. I don't understand why don't make them more widely available.

Risk vs. reward. The last MP Transformer at Walmart was Skywarp. If it warmed shelves, Walmart's bean counters only need to see "Masterpiece" and "Transformer" before they feel the urge to shy away. Anybody who knows Transformers knows MP-10 will sell out instantly. Anybody who doesn't know Transformers can only rely on history.

  3. Classic MP box is nice anyway.

Amazon-UK was preselling MP-10 for like US$70 or so, with free shipping to the US. I preordered two from them even though I already have the US MP-10.

Then some ubercrazy idiot/scalper/sh*thead determinedly complained to both TRU and Hasbro about the low pricing of Amazon-UK. All them preorders from amzn-uk were then cancelled.

    F&ckin sh*thead.

Amen. Quite the winner, that guy.

  4. How many different releases are there? It was only $130 at TRU right? Why $300 now?

It was $117 at the TRU near me. The $300 price might have something to do with it being an import along with that fancy stand that is clearly not made specifically for MP-10.

I'm OK with the feeding frenzies and sky high auctions as long as the toys are available at retail when they should be. The high auctions should be for the folks that missed the boat, but still want in.

You can't hate a character voiced by Judd F'ing Nelson!

Hot Rod was great in the movie, but sucked in S3.

    I still love hearing Dare!

I hated Hot Rod more in the movie than in Season 3. Mainly because it offended my sense of justice. I held him responsible for the death of Optimus, yet he was rewarded for it with the Matrix. Other than that, he was pretty cool. A bit of a smart ass, flawed and self-aware. I was a tween then, and felt like the writing of the show was maturing with me.

Also, Rodimus Prime was better in combat than Optimus. Here's why. Rodimus can best Galvatron. Galvatron is a more powerful version of Megatron. Megatron was equal to or stronger than Optimus. B))

Just another example why it's nuts to price MP soundwave that low. haha. It throws all kinds of price comparisons into the mix.

Even though that Armada Ultimate class is overpriced, the fact that it's even close to an MP price is bonkers.

The Armada classes are pretty big though, yes?

Haven't heard anything about a SS re-release from anybody.

That Starscream is from the Cybertron line. I think it's Supreme Class, the same size class as Unicron and Primus. I have that one. It stands about 14 inches tall and originally retailed for $50. It was a shelfwarmer and I ended up getting it on clearance for half price.
