Like Paramount would ever be stupid enough to through out a formula that has made them billions of dollars
The formula is already predictable. Once that translates to less money, it's reboot o'clock.
Paramount
-b.
Thanks. Was trying to remember which of the two it is.
-
I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of that when the franchise is rebooted. The real question is when will Universal get tired of the sick cheddar these movies make and allow the franchise to be rebooted? When will they make the G1 Transformers movie..?

MP-23 is Galvatron.
*crosses fingers*

This! The choice of colors make the V2 Mania King look a lot better, than the V1. If they make this in MP scale, I'll be all over it.
The size is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger now.
-
Bruticus had two big problems working against it.
First, Onslaught should have been at least Voyager sized.
Second, the limbs should not have been designed to be interchangeable.
Most of the upcoming figures are definite wants. Hope they're easy to find at retail.

Citizen Stack is OK, but he's getting way too much praise, IMO. He doesn't hold a candle to MP UM's show accuracy. His hourglass figure looks wrong, his forearms are completely the wrong shape, and he's wearing Converse.I would have totally been down with UM being an MP10 cab in white and a second toy being the trailer that transformed to encompass the MP10 cab (sort of like a ride armor toy). I just am glad they didn't give us something in between where the trailer had to be disassembled into several parts and then reassembled on the MP10 style toy.
I don't own a single third party TF item. I'm not getting on a soapbox here but I do think it's a particularly bad show to compete with the legitimate rights owners. If the rights owners are ignoring the toy you want and somebody (a bit shady) fills that niche I can understand a purchase. Competition is good and all but the Masterpiece line has generally been very good so it seems silly to me to buy CS on the assumption that UM will be terrible. If reviews come out that MP UM sucks I still wouldn't have the heart to go third party but I'm sure others will.

You're right. The cartoon never indicated that there were any additional modes to UM. And it appears that the MP line is primarily drawing from the cartoon for their designs. Is UM really supposed to be an armored prime? It's been eons since I saw the cartoons but I always remember him being fully armored.
What's Citizen Stack running for these days anyway?
$185 at BBTS

MP scale Ark display is what I'd want.
You'd have to paint an entire room orange.
-
Is that Ark display available for purchase? Or do you have to buy the Dinobots with it?
-
Still wondering why not a single MP seeker has had an orange canopy AFAIK.
Not a single official seeker...

OK, Hasbro. Got that out of your system? Great. How about a Starscream release?

I probably should have re-watched it, myself. I was trying to make sure the example was an episode where the Autobots definitely interacted in vehicle mode with other earth cars.
I agree. The 20 year gap between seasons 2 and 3 could be the Transformers greatest untold story.
-
could you post an episode where any alt mode blends in season 3-4?
"Only Human" Their bodies were commandeered by thugs and were driven around the city without raising an eyebrow.
The "futuristic" alt modes were mostly 2005 Earth vehicles. The rest were Cybertronian vehicles. Granted, the differences between Earth and Cybertronian vehicles is hard to distinguish, but they do exist.

I forgot Rodimus returned. Is it the episode that introduces the Targetmasters?
-
We're losing so many legends nowadays. That man voiced my childhood.
-
I guess it's time to watch past Season 2 so I know what you're talking about.
I think you're in for a treat. Season 3 has aged a bit better than the first two. Alot is made now of Rodimus Prime's insecurities, but it wasn't so bad. It's mentioned in two or three episodes. One episode focused on it ("Burden Hardest to Bear"). At the end of "Burden", he had resolved his insecurities. Then he got emo about it again when the writers decided to bring Optimus Prime back (due to public outcry). But overall, Rodimus was a great character, giving the Autobots a much-needed change in leadership style. He was wisecracking, sarcastic, smart, and confident. A stark contrast to Optimus' stoic coolness.
so... anyone getting ultra magnus?
Hell yes.
-
What the hell is blur anyway?
A Cybertronian racehorse.
Also a fan of Rodimus.
-
He might be referring to MP Grimlock.

A little late reporting this, but a flawless transaction with Jefuemon. Thanks alot, man.

I assume if there was a way to make them anime accurate and transform it would have happened by now.
It's definitely possible. I just don't think there's a will to make it. Maybe it doesn't look like there's enough demand for such a thing. An anime-accurate Voltron would be great, but I doubt I'd buy another Voltron unless the price is irresistible.

I'll just leave this here...
**** yeah!!
-
I had Evasion Optimus in my cart at Walmart. It scanned for $25 so I left it behind. Maybe on clearance.
-
Then again--it'd probably be hard to take seriously or be intimidated by some big, hulking gray-skinned dude, with blue lips, shoulder pads, tights, and dryer ducts from his ass to his elbows...
Scares the **** outta me...

You mean Commemorative Series? Comic Edition? Loose? MISB?
The 25th Anniversary Comic version from a few years back was about $60-$70 retail.
