I read the Takara version is miles better. It supposedly doesn't pop apart during transformation and has a more solid feel. My biggest problem with the US version (aside from the fact it's not a Voyager/Ultra) is the colors. Green, Hasbro?

I just got back from seeing it.
Couldn't they have used a mutant with time powers instead of Shadowcat? It doesn't even make sense in the movie canon.
Won't find out for sure until the commentary, but I have a theory about her tethered time travel ability. Her mutant power is intangibility. My guess is she achieves this by spreading her physical form over several moments while maintaining her focus on the "present". Through physical contact, she allows others to piggyback along on her time shift. So now, through experience and age, she's able to do all the kooky stuff in DoFP.

X-men- good at the time, but hasn't aged well
X2- meh just meh
X3- what is this f**** repugnant sh**?
First Class- good film but cheesy at times
Origins Wolverine- whhhhhhhooooooahhhh YOU SUCK!
The Wolverine- film makers you have embaressed your ancestors and should fall on your sword.
LOL! That's my take on all of those films, except 80% more positive.

Kaneda, good points about the theme.
But I continue to have an issue, with some aspects of the films. The X-men has always been symbolic of a multicultural, religious, and sexual acceptance. But looking at theses films with a critical eye it astounds me how they continue to whitewash and underrepresent women and minorities in these films. It has taken them literally five films before they had a female character that was on par with the male leads. I too was worried that they were going to devote way too much time with Hugh Hackman. I'm glad that I was wrong on that account as McAvoy Lawrence and Fassbender really shined. I want more of them going forward. The X-men have been extremely popular with many young women as there are so many empowering female characters for young women to relate to. I also have a issue with the fact that the only real minority characters in the film are the X-men of the future and they are all brutally killed!! Not trying to bag on the film too heavily, as I loved it and it's easily the best film I've seen this year. And it has attempted to tackle some of the issues I mentioned in a summertime blockbuster which takes guts. Singer is a talented filmmaker and DOFP reminded me how awesome the comic world can be translated to film when you have directors that are heavily vested in story and character development. Word has it that the next film might include Gambit and Nightcrawler, and younger recast versions of the X1 cast. Not digging Channing Tatum as Gambit though. Guy can't act and I really liked Taylor Kitske as Gambit. Tatum is too frat boy for my liking. I hope we also get Archangel.
Where there is Apocolypse, the Angel of Death can't be far behind. Or ahead, rather, since he's supposed to be a harbinger.

Looks like a modernized Azrael. Just a guess, though.
Edit: Arkham Knight? Never heard of him. Who's his tailor?
-
That's lame.
That was my first reaction. But it works. And it in no way detracts from a great X-movie.

Yes
He takes an injection that suppresses his mutant power in exchange for the use of his legs without excruciating pain.

It appears that the new Spike figure is a tad taller than the one came with MP-10.
Makes sense since it's the adult version of Spike. Sixteen year old Spike had a growth spurt.

Glad it's happening. Always liked Computron and the fact that he matched more than most other combiners. Besides Strafe's, the other alt modes are kinda lacking.

wait, no...the gakken is smaller than a 1/60 valk? maybe the larger valks lik ean sv-51 but not the 1/60 vf-1 (that i meant but i guess dien't specify) from waht i remember. i have an old gakken somewhere at my parents place and i can't imagine it's smaller than a 1/60 vf-1
Just checked. I actually meant the VF-1, but I stand corrected. The Gakken is much bigger than a 1/60 VF-1. Fighter mode is a bit longer and it has more overall mass. I'll attribute that mistake to having kept the Legioss in Gerwalk mode as it takes up less shelf space.

Still reserving judgement on Magnus. I really want to see it in color. That did wonders for Bumblebee and exo-suit Spike. I think Bee looks fantastic now.
-
the legioss in current scale of 1/55-1/48 (depending hwo you believe) is TINY. i don't think we need something like the original gakken in size but something like the 1/60 valks in size (i'm not sure what scale that puts them at...somehwere in the mid to upper 30s i guess)
I believe the old Gakken is 1/35. Nice hefty size, but still a bit smaller than a 1/60 Valk.

Amen. I've been dealing with them since 2003. Back when you had to cut the stickers off the sheet yourself. Good to see they're still going strong.
-
Still have it? I'll take it off your hands.

Rat Trap = cool
Tankor = (sarcastically) great, Beast Machines
Thank you though, hopefully that means there's hope for some of the cooler characters like Prime (not the surf board one), Cheetor, Tigatron, Waspinator, etc.
-b.
Waspinator is out already. He was part of the Skids and Goldfire wave.
-
Rat Trap and Tankor are coming soon.

amazon has him for 25 if you have prime
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Generations-Anniversary-Voyager-Autobot/dp/B00E4FNW7K
hasbro toy shop has him in stock again:
I was asking out of curiosity.
I got a scalper Whirl a few weeks ago during the time it was out of stock at HTS. Who knew Hasbro actually restocks their online store? I did manage to get Rhinox cheap from HTS, though.

You've got PM.
-
Still haven't seen any from that wave. Is that the Target in Clifton?
-
I was close to buying Stack, but the official one is selling for less. Also, the extras on MP-22 is a selling point for me. Each one looks to have advantages over the other. MP-22 could still have improvements coming since it's still at the prototype stage.

Between the end of First Class and DoFP, Mystique has been through alot. Azazel is already dead, yet he's Nightcrawler's father. So by the beginning of the flick, she's already carried and given birth to Kurt Wagner. Something pretty major, yet there's no mention-not even a hint-of it. If she had a personal motivation, that should be it.
