  1. So I had to fix the knee joint of my MP-09B today again! I hope this will help. I glued all parts of the crumbled, geared piece onto a washer. I will also remove the piece with the teeth of the ratchet so it will be a friction joint only. I would like to glue a washer on top for extra stability but then I have to shave down the plastic so I can fit the washer sandwich into the thigh. I hope this won't be necessary. Oh and the other knee joint broke also but I have to find fitting washers to repair this one. It still holds up so no need to hurry.

I think the MP-09 would be the perfect transformer if it weren't for the parts that just wait to break. :(

Is that knee breakage thing exclusive to the MP-09B? I've only ever seen those with crumbled pale blue plastic at the knees.

  2. The question I have is:

Striker Eureka has 6 anti-Kaiju missiles that if it can get off basically spell the end of any Kaiju. Why the hell aren't there anti-Kaiju missiles batteries all around the pacific rim and on destroyers and whatnot? It would have made the wall a much more viable option.

    Haven't you ever seen Voltron?

When fighting an unbeatable foe, you exhaust every single one of your futile options before forming the Blazing Sword.

  3. On the topic of Ultra Magnus, was there ever a canon explanation for why he was able to be violently and completely disassembled in TFTM (on the Junkion planet), and reassembled good-as-new without dying? Whereas Prime and others took seemingly much less damage, but were killed off. If there ever was an explanation, did it have to do with his exterior armor being a factor?

It was originally intended for Magnus to be drawn and quartered. Presumably, losing limbs is not as fatal to TFs as getting shot in the torso or disintegrated. Somewhere late in production, somebody important decided that UM being delimbed was too brutal for kids to see, so the tractor beams the Sweeps snared Magnus with became laser blasts. If you notice, they are not animated like typical laser blasts but, instead, are long, steady streams of light.

  4. I have it for Xbox, but haven't played the system in years. It was mildly underwhelming, but not so much that it kept me from finishing the game. It's a 1st/3rd Person Shooter, if I'm remembering right. It would have been nice if they'd included a southpaw control scheme, a crime against lefties that is still common today.

I've always had a soft spot for transforming mech games, especially since there are so few of them compared to other types of games. That said, the game had its share of problems. Stupid enemy AI, bland graphics, and clunky controls constantly remind the player that it's just a game and keep the experience from being fully immersive. It was a shame to see a premise with so much potential be squandered on a game that was anything less than a sequel-spawning masterpiece. Oh well.
