Which version do you have? My Part 1 Garland fell apart at the shoulders from the slightest touch after a year or so.I haven't touched my Garland since I bought and transformed it into maneuver slave mode. Should I be afraid since it's been sitting there for 4+ years?
-
What part does it go to?
-
Whaaaaaaaat?!? Un-freakin-believable.
-
WTF indeed. He was a great talent and will be missed.

I'm OK with my HD-DVD set. Although I am bummed that it didn't come with the flying car.
-
I'm sure even the most slavish G1 stickler would accept made-up 80's-ish vehicle modes as a workaround for the licensing problem.

$16.50 at the TRU near me.

I'll commit to a set of saddle bags and 1 stinger. What color do they come in?

Heh. I'm sure Toynami's reputation is just fine with the likes-oddly-themed-plushies demographic.I thought they were still trying to do that with the Robotech plushies that were revealed at Comic-Con. -
Just got an email from BBTS stating the following:
Voltron Lion Force Base with Sound Canceled
Sure, anybody that still had it pre-ordered expected no less, but it would've been nice to be pleasantly surprised by Toynami.
-
Hard to believe Toynami is still producing Robotech stuff. They seem to have squandered so many opportunities to repair their reputation.
Add to that, their MPC Voltron Base with sound that's been on pre-order forever has finally been officially cancelled. Instances like that will keep collectors' expectations dismal and low.

Hasbro is doing me a favor. Them offering much less at a higher price has made it easier for me to stop and consider how much I actually want the figure.Seeing all these 3rd party toys is really making me consider NOT buying Hasbro stuff. These developers are really in tune with fan desires and the quality (at least of Fans Project) is definitely better than Hasbro who just keep shrinking their releases while increasing the price.
-
I'd say those are fair criticisms. Especially the part about his feet not being big enough to compensate for how back-heavy the figure is. I haven't handled Springer very much, so I'll take your experience as a warning of how easily the joints can loosen over time.
The iGear Arcee looks like a pretty solid figure. Though her head sculpt doesn't look quite right to me. I went with the inferior Impossible Toys version to fill the Arcee role on my TFTM shelf. She's flimsy, but for display purposes, I feel she's very accurate to her big screen counterpart.
I still have to sharpen up some of her paint apps, but the kiddo leaves little time for me to mess with my action figures.

You don't like Springer (Defender)?
edit:
Great pic!

Bummer. That would've been nice.

I have the Hasbro version. It's a great representation of Starscream...especially robot mode. The clear forearms don't bother me as much as I thought they would. He's the perfect scale to be posed with FE Arcee.I've been looking at some pics of Takara's PRID voyager Starcream. The fig looks pretty decent, despite the clear plastic forearms. Couldn't find any reviews for it though. (never mind--I actually mistyped review as preview in google. Still would like to hear some more opinions on the toy, though) I'm still undecided on whther I should get the toy or not.
Anyone here bought him? Any opinions on the toy?
I ignore mech tech weapons so they don't factor into my opinion of any figure. The jet mode has some leg kibble that greatly detracts from its sleek silhouette. The figure could also use some additional (or more accurate) paint apps.
Besides the drawbacks mentioned above, it's an awesome figure and I don't regret the purchase.

The problem with a Bloodsport remake, even if done well, is that the star of the movie will most likely be an unknown. The same was true with the original, but I doubt lightning will strike twice.
-
Couldn't get through the game because it doesn't have a left-handed control setup. It also remains the only game I own that glitches the modified controller I keep for just such occasions. Irrational though it may be, I will avoid the movie based on these experiences.

I'd rate Ninja at about the same level as Ninja Assassin. They both have the same mindless violence that I expect (and enjoy) in a sword slashing ninja flick. And they both have not-so-great acting.
I agree with the assessment above. Ninja Assassin could have been great if the Interpol parallel plot had either been scrapped or revamped.

I remember enjoying Invasion. Standard FPS fare with a transforming motorcycle. What's not to like?

Fortress_Maximus gets my appreciation for a flawless transaction.
-
Plot-wise, how much will be borrowed from The Macross Saga?
Do you have any VF transformation footage?
