  1. ^_^ i just called YAMATO USA today, and the fellow answering the phone said that they got my email from last Saturday, and they just sent the replacement out to me today! (9/8/09) now that's what i call service!! he did not specify whether they sent a repair kit or entire replacement model, but either way, the result will be a beautiful Mecha design, fully restored and back in action!! ^_^

;) Good to hear they sort it out for you so quickly.

Here is my Proto Garland with some stickers on. :)

  2. Thanks for asking Excillon! Heh heh, it's my PG RX-78-2 that I started back in 1999. LOL. I just haven't found time to work on it. It's been converted to the (Full Armor) FA-78-1...but tweaked a bit. See photo below. The two shoulder back canons were not installed when the photo was taken. But soon...I hope to get back on it, paint and weather etc. So it's equipped with twin dual-barrel beam canons on each arm, two shoulder shell-canons on the back, two bazzokas and the beam rilfe & beam sabre.

    It is a "war" machine!

    Very cool, man. :)

  3. 2009 is not done yet... I don't think we should vote for it yet.

So far, Star Trek is 'summer movie' entertainment, but District 9 is much better sci-fi movie. Story is deeper and engaging.

D9 is on my top list of the sci-fi movies in recent years.

Also, Cameron's Avatar is coming in Dec... expect some good, but can't see it will be better than D9, Star Trek or even T4...

  4. Not waiting for Bandai to offer a "weathered" version of the 1/60 VF-25, I took the liberty of applying a light weathered finish to the Alto Custom DX valk. Also, I applied the white color trims on the tail fins missing when it came out of the box. It looks like a lot of the DX valks are missing those trims on the tail fins.

    Here are the results:

    That is beautiful.

    Wonderful 'weather' finished! ;)

  5. I got a Hikaru 1J about a week ago. Love it. Great toy. It is BRIGHT white though, as has been remarked on.

All in all it's a typical 1/60 V2 Valk. Awesome.

I have a 1J too, looks good. But I also like to have the 'gray visor' version that is only included in the coming Armor Box set! <_<

    damn it.

  6. hi guys, this is really a great thread!

i have just completed the jet mode for my armored VF-25F,

in the end i kind off decided to stick to the canon scheme,

but still retain the black armor plus some metallic here and there.

i cant show gerwalk/battroid mode yet cos i havent finished painting the rifles and hands

was supposed to finish them this weekend but i was travelling and forgot to bring the related sprues.

so i js contnued with what i had brought along with me,

and here are some shots i made at the hotel

    That is beautiful.

    Awesome work! ^_^

  7.

He brought it up... I'm not Junior. I'm the only one whose name was chosen at random. :(

Back on topic, if this doesn't outsize everything on my shelf, I'm going to be upset and not not buy it.

I bet it will outsize anything that you have on your shelf...

the only question is how much it will cost us with a huge details toy like this from Yamato!

    Start saving....
