Totally agree Yamato Arcadia are like play arts Kai. Big expensive fancy parts but fragile models in glass cases. Display pieces. Hmr are like figma and revoltech. Smaller cheaper rugged more like toys that kids can play with. I'm not worried about breaking shoulders. I swoosh these around more.

+1Killer Is this your first kit from this Japanese company? If you're new to models I'd suggest trying a cheaper kit of the same brand to get your feet wet. I messed up my first kit cuz I thought it wad like the bandai kits. See my reply above

I think it's weird that roy fokker is an exclusive. He's like the second main figure next to Hikaru. Regult with missiles might be an exclusive but roy should have been a regular release. Destroids and female power armor bring em on to regular release bandai!

Nice that you like your fokker. The snap out of parts is like transformers so it's not as fragile as the Yamato valkyries. I've had a Yamato shoulder disintegrate in display without playing it. I like the shoulder sliding in the bandai hi metal vs the Yamato rotating shoulder. I don't usually go for Web exclusives because the price is marked up. The movie vf1s Hikaru looks the same but in Hikaru colors but much cheaper. For its price I think the Hikaru is good. I could repaint it and call it a roy. Or max. But Hikaru is my fave. But it is your colors so enjoy.

A plate on top and a plate of effects parts like the nu Gundam has a nice 3d effect. But only looks good from top or bottom side shots. You'd have to at another plate for front because the Gundam parts are hollow from the front. I like the street fighter mini sd figures. They have the lighting go up the figure and that could look nice on the sdf like charging up.

Thanks. I have the nu Gundam mg and the parts effects look a bit small compared to the sdf bow guns though. The fin funnels ate only about 2 inches long I think. The sdf I think is a bit longer.The effect parts are on a sheet I suppose you could cut out the size for the sdf. However the parts are cookie cutter pre cut on the sheet for the fin funnels so it might not look so good.

They should include an effects part for the electricity between the bow guns.

That kaiyodo tomahawk looks good next to the sdf. The armored vf would look pretty awesome next to it

Yeah daedalus like star screams shoulder wings those shoulder joints look like a weak point.

I like the dark tone too. It looks like the opening scene where the valks are launch from the sdf and there's a lot of Shadows and shading.

My 2 cents on Nippon yassan. I've bought my vf25's and other figures that are hard to find from them at a markup but all the other online stores were sold out. Having stock is a nice plus. Customer service is pretty bad. When one of my figures came with the leg off straight out of the box they only said the manufacturer was out of stock and they didn't resolve or offer me a refund or discount. I contacted several times and they ignored me. So I went to paypal. Nippon yassan immediately closed my account without discussion. Pretty bad after sales. I've never had such poor service from any of the other online retailers.

I think the next new mold is probably the Tomahawk since some one posted a pic of the prototype in grey or beige.

The transformer guy fits. But he doesn't like to sit up. He'd probably look better in the officer pod since it has a chair for him to lean on.
