The monsters long Tom's and arm guns have very shallow muzzles. I didn't like the wave destroids shallow muzzles. Bandai could make the barrel interior go the length. It looks more like a toy also because the cockpit windows are red and not clear windows. Still I like it though. Does the rear hatch counterweight come down on the monster? I thought the monster had a counter weight on its butt like a stand for firing the long Tom's

Wow cdjapan and animeexport still available. Bought 1 glaug. Monster might be really expensive if glaug costs so much Playing around with my super hmr. I hardly play with the Yamato it's for display. Why is the glaug so expensive compared with the other release? I don't like the glaugs arms are held up by the stand. Ratchets should have been installed

I'm quiet usually. I've been on since the V2 60 yammy line but I don't post much since I'm not as knowledgeable as some members here. I complained like everyone else about the vf25 Line. I think that's the reason I like this line, it's available and less expensive than the VF25 or the yammy.

I dont think hlj ever carried it. I think roy is a web exclusive. I think nippon yassan carries it, but my account got cancelled when i complained to them about a defective product. Where else have you guys bought the roy from?

Theres a youtuber i think optimusprimesg that reviewed the gbp hmr. Shows the correct hinge clicking so that the backpack doesnt droop. I followed the picture instructions but it drooped. I watched the video and the guy shows the proper clicking and now its pretty solid.

The first release hm were a bit flimsy, loose joints, cheap toy quality. The new ones have more metal and tight joints. No rachets, but on this scale its ok. Most annoying factor is heat shield parts former. But its not bad. Im with most boys here in it for the alien mechs and destroids and monster. These dont replace the bigger scales but theyre better than those revoltechs and toynami by miles. Not trying to convince you, but i did also dislike the first release.

So has the fokker gone up yet? Don't remember who wrote the comparison with masterpiece transformers but I agree. I'd add that this line is like transformers deluxe or Gundam high grades that they are smaller cheaper easier to collect for small Japanese apartments and offer more variety of mech. I buy both scales because it's unlikely they'll manufacture a masterpiece of unpopular robots or perfect grades. So I think I'm collecting this line along my 1/48 and 1/60. The scales aren't true since a 100 scale Gundam doesn't match the Valk and 60 scale doesn't quite match either but they don't bother me. I didn't like that Yamato 60 scales shoulders disintegrated even though I didn't play with them sitting on display. This line are toys I mess around with but not afraid they're gonna be a 200 $ brick. Also I'm sick of the pre-order madness that was the vf 25 frontier. These were relatively available.

I have the gbp and old ij. The mold is almost the same. Except the tip of the nosecone is removable on the gbp to fit the hip armor. It has all the same design. But there are metal parts in the shoulders now. Also the joinys are stiffer now, probably to carry the weight of the gbp. But it feels more sturdy than the old hi metal which was floppy out of the box, even the metal parts were floppy. The new lines tighter joints feel less like a cheap toy. Also , i really like the design of the sliding shoulders which can pop off, rather than disintegrate like the yamato v2 shoulders. Not sure why yamato doesnt use metal on the fragile transforming parts on the shoulders, etc.
  9. Hi guys, Thanks for the replies. Welcome any further comments. It is a fair suggestion to ask for a full refund. I'm thinking I should ask for a full refund too. However, I expect NY would ask for the product to be returned, and the return shipping to Japan with tracking can be disproportionately expensive. I recently had to send back a batman to a competitor, and although the figure was $80, the return shipping was $180! They refunded me the purchase and return shipping, since they did not have a replacement. Since NY did not offer an exchange or refund, I wouldn't want to pay more if they pushed for the return. And you're right, I'm not dealing with them after this. I only bought from them since it was hard to buy those frontier valks, and their prices were scalper like. I've had defective merchandise from BBTS, Amiami, etc, but never had my account closed nor ignored. Really disappointed in NY.
  10. Hi, Sharing my experience with Nippon yassan. Ive been collecting valks and since the bandai frontier valks have been scarce, i bought a few from this company. Prices are high, but you get the preorder. I think most on this forum know that. $200-300 for a frontier valk. I also bought a figma guts band of the hawk from them back in april, and the griffith from the berserk cartoon. Guts leg came off the instant the clam shell was opened. Its a ball peg, so i popped it back on, but it kept coming off. It wont stand without the stand. Other figmas, like the griffith have really good joints. These cost about $80 each. I opened a complaint ticket with ny. They said theyd contact the manufacturer for parts. They said it was an old item, and cant get replacements parts. Ny had the item in stock, a few left. But they didnt offer to exchange nor refund. I asked for a partial refund. They ignored me, kept the ticket open. Its been a few months, so i contacted paypal to open a dispute. Paypal suggested requesting a refund or partial refund. I requested $15. First thing ny emails me my order is cancelled. I try to login, account does not exist!? It appears they cancelled my account over their defective merchandise and a request for partial refund of $15?! They havent responded, but that is pretty bad customer service. What can i do? Have others had this bad service? At least it wasnt on the yf 29 or 25, which were more expensive. Thanks

HLJ's gone now. I was on at 1226. Weird thing is I hit refresh between 12 and 1226 a few times but it showed as out of stock. And I was emailing back and forth with HLJ about this valk.

Man this preorder stuff is crazy. I wasnt specifically looking for this valk but i was on both amiami and hlj during the 3 min window. I only noticed it when i was browsing whether they had a takara devastator, but the valk was sold out. Smaller companies ive preordered from will take as many preorders as customers order and the preorder lasts for some time. Weird that bandai just produces a set number without knowing how many more could be sold. Same guys that are running the dx renewal scene, i suppose.

I think they had a limit 1 per cust when i ordered, but it was on the first night. I know ny limited to two, and amiami im not sure cuz it was closed so quick

Yeah, and the heat shield. I dont mind the landing gear, cuz i wouldnt land a valk in plane mode, thats what gerwalk is for. But parts forming the heat shield is annoying. Cant remember but i think you have to remove the cockpit windshield to install the heat shield. Also the chest doesnt tab into the cockpit, unless you swap out the glass for the shield, the tab goes into the shield. I dont bother, but it would be almost (other than the landing gear) not a parts former, for me. The only metal parts are the feet, which are loose on the front half boot, yet close up tightly into the leg, and the swing bar. Rest seems like plastic. It could use some more metal for himetal. Although these arent really in scale with gundams, theyre about the size of my 6" figures. So the stands for those work pretty good. They should make a female battle armor for mirya too, since they have her red valk

Wings without the hard points look so much sleeker, or with model style realistic aerodynamic points. I can see what they were going after. Hard points allow different armaments, so more playability. But loose floppy wings without rachets is crappy, you cant do the pose with the wings out in super with the missiles attached cuz they flop down. I thought about trying to tighten them, but it might affect the swapping wings.

    Hi-Metal R

The valk has pegs, so it diesnt feel loose in fighter mode, but it has loose wings. They are emovable to swap out wings with hard points, but the wings dont rachet, and are loose in battroid mode. Fun little size, doesnt seem fragile. Similar height to my classics seekers. Bit bigger than revoltech, out of scalewith the regult revoltech. But from the photos, the himetal regult is not much bigger. Landing gear is parts forming too. For those who already own a hi metal, this is old news, just for those who dont. I missed most of the the destroids so this line im likely to buy.
