  1. You expected less around here? Good call.
  2. I wonder if it's too late to scrap...
  3. Agreed. Maybe they're counting on everyone being too poor from 1/48s to afford anything more.

    which vf-1s

Well, there are really only two things to consider here. First and foremost, which character did you like more? Go with that one. Two: the Hikaru 1S has a slight edge because the pilot is made out of that gummi resin and is a bit cooler than the original Hikaru included in the VF-1A. The Roy reissue includes the same hard plastic pilot from the original. Personally, I like Roy better (even if he bit it), so that's my favorite. You might also consider that you may want to put the Hikaru from the 1J in the Roy 1S to make a quasi-TV version.
  5. Well, Shawn had said something about a site update during the week of Christmas; particularly the toys and models sections. I'm hoping that happens soon.

    Im New Here

    Welcome aboard!
  7. I think that since the design is based on DYRL?, a TV greenie may be a long shot. I'm trying to limit myself to the red Milia. Max and Milia 1/48s are going to drain me. they did make tv vf-1's sooooooo, Personally I wish they would just stick to 1 scale and make that one perfect Yeah, but they were still a different version (VF-1J). You don't see any TV VF-1As running around...at least not any that aren't customs. I'm not saying it's impossible, but if there is any fine-tuning that needs to be done to change the appearance of the Q-Rau to make it conform to the TV version design, I don't think we'll see one. Actually, I'm really not sure what the differences are between the DYRL? and TV version besides color (if there are any) so who knows.

    Yamato 1/48 M&M

Well, all the pre-orders I've seen so far seem to indicate that they will be sold separately. I don't think Yamato is so brazen as to force their customers to buy both at the same time if they want the product at all. People are already reluctant since they may be sold with FP only. I two-pack of such a pricey item wouldn't be a very good marketing strategy.
  9. Look for them soon in this section.

  11. I think it's still a mystery at this point (to most, anyhow).
  12. I'd say that's a very optimistic estimate. The 3 versions that have been talked about up to this point (red, blue, CF-purple) will be more than enough for Yamato to milk this mold. It's not like it's a VF-1.
  13. Damn! (Although my wallet just breathed a huge sigh of relief.)
  14. I remember seeing some early pics of the Hikaru 1J which looked God-like white with day-glo pink stripes. I'm pretty sure it's just the pics or maybe just the prototype look. I noticed the circles on Max's legs are also white instead of yellow. I'll wait to see more pics before I worry.
  15. or VE-1, or VF-1A CF, or Max VF-1S, or VF-1A Kakizaki, or...
  16. Actually, this thread here prompted that thread there. My information was based on Felix's links to the HLJ pre-orders.
  17. Hey Wolf! Welcome to the boards! Well, the stands that Tam over at Twim Moons sells might be a little pricey, but they're good quality and Tam is an honest, friendly, and fair seller. He gets pretty much all my business these days. I'm not sure about what other stands are out there, but the ones you're talking about are great. And don't worry about having a small collection...you won't be crying because the repo man came to take away your Valks.
  18. Another one bites the dust. My condolences.
  19. HOLY FLIRKING SHNIT!!! My prayers are answered...and yet...I'm already in the hole because of Yamato...or maybe it's my lack of self-control. Anywho... Ah, the joys of collecting.
  20. Personally, if I knew there were not going to be 1/48 GBP armor, I'd want to get both the 1/60 with armor and 1/48 without. Hell, I think there will be and I still pre-ordered a 1/60 set of armor only. However, if I was only left with the option of a 1/60 armored Valk, and a full size, naked 1/48...I'd go 1/48 all the way. Though I like the 1/60, the 1/48 is just a much better toy in my opinion.
  21. Makes you wonder if Big West commited a major marketing flaw. Their bad guy toys are too big to make if you have good sized good guy toys. "Next Macross: everybody is the same size."
  22. The only think I can imagine in the realm of 1/48 enemies that would be feasible is soldiers in body armor. Beyond that, I'd be surprised...but then again, I still can't believe they're planning on actually releasing a 1/60 Monster.
  23. Yeah, I went ahead and pre-ordered mine from Tam. If they do end up releasing more versions of this sucker, I'm going to try and resist the urge to buy them. The 1/60 line is now the step-child of my collection and, while I still think they're neat-o, I considered myself pretty much "over" the line, now that the 1/48s are coming fast and furious. Since I don't think a Q-Rau is likely in 1/48, I figured why not. However, as neat as this toy seems to be, it's no VF-1. I can't justify getting more than one variant of this if I plan to snap up every 1/48 VF-1 Yamato offers.
  24. Well, since Yamato was kind enough to include both parts (HMMP-02 pod and RO-X2A cannon), I'd say you can go based on how you feel on any given day. I'd say start with the cannon (since that is canon ) and if you get tired of it, switch to the missile pod: lather, rinse, repeat as needed.
