Hasegawa’s other release announcement is the 1/48 scale version of the Max and Milia VF-1J Valkyries. Sold complete with Super Packs, these kits’ new features are the RMS-1 reaction missiles. These can either be built as Max, Milia or any 1J custom and are scheduled for release in June of this year.
After more than 3 years after the release of their first 1/48 VF-1 Valkyrie, Hasegawa finally announces their new kits that will include a strike pack. Model kit building Macross fans will be happy to finally give the classic VF-1 fighter some 0-G lovin’ sometime later this year. According to HLJ, they’ll be releasing the VF-1A/S kit.
Can’t wait to see the prototype…
Along side the Strke valkyrie, they’ll also be releasing the 30th Anniversario valkyrie designed by Tenjin in 1/48 (sans strike/super packs.)
Thanks to valkyriepm for posting.
Thanks to Vi-RS for posting the box art for the Hasegawa 1/72 scale 30th Anniversary VF-1A, scheme designed by Tenjin.
No details yet, none that I can translate anyway. We’ll update this as soon as we have something solid, but member IXTL found this in the ToysDaily forums.
EDIT: It’s a fake! A Joke from a Toysdaily member. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=39316&p=1049731

Bandai debuts its perfect transformation 1/72 scale plamodel at the Shizuoka Hobby Show .
The kit is shown with the VF-1S Strike, the VF-1A Battroid, another VF-1S in fighter mode and what looks like another VF-1A in GERWALK. This is Bandai’s lastest version of the VF-1 since the 1/100 transformable toy. While the detail is impressive, there’s some huge shortcomings overall aesthetically. But with the lack of Macross products in the market, will this lone representation of the 30 year old design prevail in the market?
Thanks to Cdisdope for this scoop. Ripped from the pages of Hyper Hobby magazine is an illustration of Arcadia’s first official venture into Macross toys territory.
Bandai posted the new updated CAD designs for their upcoming 1/72VF-1 Valkykrie PlaModel.
On the article, the developer states how far the design has come since the last reveal and that they are still working on thickening the arms for battroid mode and strengthening the ankles for a more secure stance. Not only are they working on the articulation features, but he is hoping to have a rapid prototype with the transformation gimmick in place for the next media event.
It looks like the reveal that we were waiting for from Bandai is a plamodel kit of the VF-1 Valkyrie in 1/72 scale. Kind of a lackluster announcement if you ask me , as it adds nothing new to anyone’s Macross collection. From the CAD drawing on the poster it looks like this will be in fighter mode, unless it’s a transforming kit. UDPATE: Someone in the forums just stated that it is transformable.
