silentrage
pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 i designed this based on tye yf19 and yukikaze not much functionality since it's for a futuristic space shooter, tell me what you think. this is the low poly version, i'm going to convert it to subd then back with higher iteration to finish it up. Gui
Looks cool IMO Though, due to the amount of details, I'd really like to know what you consider as a high-poly version...
silentrage
i think you can notice the blocks of polygons on it and how the cylinders are not smooth, when i convert it, it should end up around 240,000 polys or so, it's 62,000 right now. Gui
Yep, I expected such numbers: doing real-time modelings, low-poly is around 2000-2500 polys for me Good luck for the final: keep us informed
silentrage
Yeah, it's intended for a FMV, so there really is no poly limit
Knight26
Nice I;m assuming a space only fighter?
silentrage
yeah i think so, i thought about giving it intakes, but i ddin't really find a good place to put them, so it's space only. besides, it would explain the lack of aerodynamics, right? DatterBoy
I think it is a wonderful design. I love the feel of it. :DAT

Knight26
Very nice looking design, has a nice intimidating shpae, though it does look a little fragile as well. I like to cockpit design as well, can't wait to see more.
Grayson72
Great 3D work, I think it kinda looks like a Pteradactle (sp?)
NERV
my only critisism is that it looks threatening until i see the wing bases, they are smalla nd look like they wud easily, break, its hard to intimidated by sometihng that looks fragile
silentrage
Thanks for all the comments. And thanks for pointing out its weakness too. I had to make my design based on a previous design that we used for our game project, (which is what this ship is for) that's why the wingbase is like that. But seeing as how it makes the design less believable, i should probably change it for the better as soon as i get time anyway. right now i'm working on a more detailed cockpit, i'll get some mor erenders out as soon as there's anything worth showing

dna
But does it transform?
Gui
That is the question...
silentrage
um... the wings can be folded up and the wing attachments can be contracted back into the body, so if you consider that transformation, then, yeah...

sktchrtst2002
Hmmmmm, The more I look at it, the more it seems like an ESCAFLOWNE air force fighter than a FAIRY AIR FORCE jet! ( heh, FAF is the other name YUKIKAZE goes by in Japan)
silentrage
i don't remember seeing any escaflowne aircrafts, but i saw some concept arts of the world and mechs, and i 'd love to get my hands on the artbook do u have some pics to share?
