Gundam Seed 2 to Replace Inuyasha

According to a post on the Japanese Super Robot Taisen BBS, Sunrise Studios announced yesterday that the Inuyasha TV series will conclude in September and be replaced in October by Mobile Suit Gundam Seed 2. The first report on Gundam Seed 2 will appear in an unspecified Japanese anime magazine next month.

Now that Episode 145 of Inu Yasha is now avalailable for download from Ani-Kraze, it's nice to know it actually is coming to a close soon. I do think it will pass the 150 mark easily given where they're at during 145 and what's left to still do, but not too much longer until that great show concludes.

And what better to fill its time slot in Japan than Gundam Seed 2 in October. Let's see is any of our speculation from before is close or not with what they do in Seed 2.

I knew about it, check this aritcal from http://aeug.blogspot.com/

Here what it says :

Gundam SEED 2 rumor #5839385

SEED 2 rumor has once again surfaced this time courtesy of Bandai and Sunrise themselves. The rumor first started surfacing based on Bandai's job fair (aka company explanation to the recruits). Apparently, one of Bandai's Human Resources personnel said to the possible recruits that SEED 2 will come out this fall. A second rumor appeared after Sunrise held their job fair, which occurred on April 20. Here, Sunrise staff mentioned SEED 2 is in production with Oct 2004 premier in mind. The information of Sunrise's job fair was posted on this Japanese BBS.

UPDATE: Due to major mistranslation by one of the anime sites, here is the quick summary of the post.

At Sunrise's job seminar/recruit, one of their recruiters mentioned SEED 2 was under production with Oct 2004 schedule. The poster, who attended the seminar, also heard that Inuyasha is going to end this Sept (NOTE: Sunrise produces Inuyasha, however Nihon TV airs Inuyasha not TBS/MBS, which aired SEED. No where does it state that SEED 2 will replace Inuyasha's timeslot). The poster then assumes one of the anime magazines must be close to making an official announcement based on what he heard at this seminar/recruit. ¶ 3:46 AM

This is kind of late & it's of topic, but nonetheless great news. This came from animenewsnetwork

Inu Yasha Tidbits (09:12 PM EST): While it won't come as a surprise and there hasn't been any truly formal announcement, forum poster 'tcov' has passed along some information found in the latest issue of Animerica that indicates that, "a DVD release of the first Inu Yasha movie this summer, then a DVD release of the second movie later this year." There's been various talk around certain dubbing journals and sites about the work on a "mysterious but obvious" feature film that's been worked on in the dubbing studios lately up in Canada by the Viz folks, so hopefully we'll hear something more formal soon, but probably not until we're closer to Anime Expo knowing the short publicity windows that Viz seems to prefer.
