No idea how toy IPs work, but assuming Toynami goes ahead with their 1/55, won't it infringe Bandai's in some way?

Nah, they have it all divided by territory. It will impact how the accountants look at things though so I still think Toynami will likely cancel there's if it's clear Bandai is really going to go through with it.

Bandai might just be making Hikaru's 1J though? Still much to know.
