Fun With Google Earth/google Maps

Recommended Posts

Inspired by an old thread of images from the airplane graveyard at Davis-Monthan AFB, and pplaying around with Google Earth, I thought it would be cool if we had a thread for posting neato views that we've found.

I'll start off with some Typhoons found on the Kola Peninsula. Not very good resolution by any means, but if you know what you're looking for, you can recognize them.

Dude we need coordinates for that.

And check this one out, talk about a lucky time to take the picture:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=hi...005364&t=h&om=1

32°00'42.89" S

115°47'10.91" E

or those using the google earth program instead of the browser version. use the kmz file in the zip file to automaticly go there.
