Looks more like Battle 7 than the original SDF to me.

And the Valk designs look alot like the ones Kawamori did in his pre-escaflowne days. IIRC, some of them almost made it into Macross Plus. Thankfully, they didn't.

Kawamori had a thing for diamond shaped shoulders for a while there...
