The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened? is a documentary written and directed by Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse). It gives an in-depth look at Superman Lives, an aborted attempt at bringing Superman back to the big screen in the mid-1990s by producer Jon Peters (Batman, Superman Returns) and director Tim Burton (Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice), with Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider, Castor Troy in Face/Off) in the title role. Right from the get-go, the project was rife with problems - majority of which were caused by Peters' outlandish depictions of Superman and Brainiac. And right when Nicolas Cage had just finished a few costume tests, Warner Bros. pulled the plug on the film. While Peters' idea of having Brainiac as a robotic spider never materialized, it was recycled in the 1999 bomb Wild Wild West. People involved in Superman Lives such as Kevin Smith (Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) and Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) have moved on to more successful projects. So for those who were utterly disappointed by Superman Returns and Man of Steel, it could've been worse. Here's Chris Stuckmann's review of the documentary: And here are pics of the costumes that Cage tested: Official Site EDIT: Schnepp, the goddamn troll...

(I feel like I was hijacking the other guy's thread, so...) Some of you might be familiar with the Gundam Mega Marathon I've been on for the past couple of years and I'm not abandoning it, but with the announcement of the new Macross Delta tv series, I realized it had been quite a while since I had watched Macross. Therefore, I'll be going on a Macross Mega Marathon, which should be a little less consuming than the Gundam Marathon. Don't worry, I'm not giving up on Gundam; I'll of course be watching G-Tekketsu as it airs. Anyway, I'll be posting my impressions here, just like with my Gundam thread. My thoughts on the episodes can be mainly located here: https://www.facebook.com/robert.hayes.5249/media_set?set=a.1060615947317072.1073741839.100001060297207&type=1&l=b7090795f7 It's current to episode 5.

Coming to theaters on November 25 is The Good Dinosaur, which may be Pixar's most difficult project. Originally slated for release in 2014, the film experienced production problems toward the third act to a point where the whole film had to be scrubbed and the entire voice cast had to be changed after original director Bob Peterson left the project. Peter Sohn (Partly Cloudy) stepped in to finish the film. And here's a first look at the final product. Official Site

I never saw the original series, so I don't know much about that, But this looks really good. Definitely fun and its great to see Cavil spreading out from the Superman role. Although I am hoping for a gag reel where he opens his shirt to show the 'S'!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Ky4KPzKwY

Well There are three Hulkbuster toys 2 are from the last movie and very expensive and 1 just being stupid expensive and 1 affordable and pretty cool based off the comic I had the Hot Toys on pre-order but for around 1200 canadian, they can kiss my ass cancelled. By Crom! The Oak himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will return as the legendary Cimmerian warrior in The Legend of Conan. According to producer/co-writer Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious 3-7, 47 Ronin), the new film will not be a reboot, but a direct sequel to Conan the Barbarian (thus making Conan the Destroyer non-canon). "The movies, nowadays. That's the trouble. Sequels and remakes, bunch of crap." - Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) Without a doubt, Transformers: Age of Extinction is one of the worst sci-fi films ever produced. Unfortunately, its total earnings of US$1.1 billion means we're getting more Transformers films. However, there will be numerous changes (not including less humans, sadly): - Michael Bay originally stated he will not return as director, but Paramount threw enough money for him to stay. - Mark Wahlberg will be reprising his role as the bumbling "inventor" Cade Yeager. No word if Cade's hoochie daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) or her Irish boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor) are returning. I hope not. - Akiva Goldsman (Batman & Robin, Lost in Space), who was once attached to the live-action Robotech project, is in talks to write the screenplay. - Hasbro is looking at a 2017 release date. Early this year, it was announced that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures signed an agreement to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both companies will produce yet another Spider-Man reboot, which is slated for release on July 28, 2017. Here are the details so far: - According to Marvel president Kevin Feige, this reboot will not have an origin story, but would take inspiration from Batman Begins. Compared to the previous films, Spidey will retain his humorous side. - Jon Watts (Clown, Cop Car) has signed on as the director. - British actor Tom Holland (Billy Elliot the Musical) is the new Peter Parker. - Oscar-winning actress Marisa Tomei (Mona Lisa Vito in My Cousin Vinny, Cassidy in The Wrestler) is the new Aunt May. War for the Planet of the Apes is the third film in the current Planet of the Apes film series, following the critically acclaimed 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) returns to the director's chair on this project; he will also co-write the screenplay with Matt Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, The Wolverine). Since it's the continuing saga of Caesar and his tribe, there's no doubt that Andy Serkis (Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain Haddock in The Adventures of Tintin) will reprise his motion capture performance. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 14, 2017. Exclusive: New Planet of the Apes Movie Title Revealed
