  1. That's a pretty slim window, and if you order over the weekend, they won't ship out until the next monday, so it could work, but that one day window won't give you much flexibility if there are any weather delays, which are decently likely to happen this time of year.
  2. HLJ can deliver in 5 days or less sometimes, it will depend on the shipping you choose, and which day of the week you request shipping. If you request shipping via FedEx (or possibly DHL if it's offered), there's a fair chance it will arrive in that window. Assuming you are planning to arrive in NYC on a Sunday or Monday, I would think requesting shipping on the Friday before the Friday immediately before you travel (about 9-10 days total) should give you adequate time. Also keep in mind that Japan is far ahead timezone-wise, so if you want them to ship on a Friday, you should probably make the shipping request some time on Thursday. How long are you planning to stay in NYC?
  3. I'd put this in the same bucket as the 262Ba. Probably a year three product, mixed in with re-releases, and designs from a second movie, if that happens. I'll happily pick one up, but given the 171's history and reputation, I'd think that would be even farther down Bandai's priority list than the Ba.
  4. Thanks! I realized I had my purchase spreadsheet open in the background right after saying I didn't remember when they came out. I'm mostly thinking in terms of how long it's been since the initial releases. Frontier's releases took more or less three years after the start of the v.2 DX lineup. At the two year mark, we'd gotten Alto, Ozma, Michael, Alto's 171EX, the CF-171, the 30th YF-29, Luca's RVF-25, a re-release of Alto, and the VF-25A. We're roughly at the two year mark now with Delta, and have had Hayate, Keith, Messer, Mirage, Hayate-Kai, Movie Messer, the Kairos, Arad, and Chuck. Same number of releases for both series overall, but Frontier just had more variety (especially if you include the wider variety of super/armor/tornado packs), since we got three unique designs, instead of eight 31 repaints, and one 262. It makes sense really though, since now Bandai has multiple lines of Macross-related merchandise, including the HMR lineup, the DX VF-1, and whatever might follow the YF-19 release. If we're going to get a 262Ba, I'd guess it's going to be around the three year mark, similar to Luca's RVF-171. Let's just hope there's another Kairos release in there somewhere.
  5. I don't know if I'd spring for the Fire Valk (oh who am I kidding, it's a 19), but I would buy the crap out of that mold in VF-19F/S/P/K/LMNOQRTUV format. Just so long as they keep the hardpoints on the YF-19... Not that Bandai would bother making any of those.. but I can dream. I've been begging for some low-vis 19s from the Master file since Yamato's first Fire Valk.
  6. I'm holding out hope we'll see a Ba release somewhere down the road, or even a tan 171, since that would be a no-brainer repaint. I forget the timeline for Frontier releases, but the 171, YF-25, and CF-25 came out long after the other releases. Really though.. given the lukewarm market for Keith, I'm not expecting them to bother with more 262s. At least Mirage got some good screentime in one, and maybe if we get another Delta movie there'll be enough fancy flying for demand to surpass the minimum value on Bandai's care-o-meter, but I just don't know how likely it is.
  7. That's painfully accurate actually. NY probably has the most insanely unfriendly cancellation/refund system I've ever found in any shop anywhere, and they basically dictate where, when, and how you have to jump through their hoops to spend your own money once they have it. They just flat out will not refund anything, and even if you get store credit on shipping charges, they won't allow you to apply that to shipping on another item. The only way I was able to use my store credit on this release was to buy a candy bar with the VF-31E so the total was just above the amount they owed me. If CD Japan proves reliable with the P-Bandai missile sets for the VF-1, I think I'm just going to ditch NY for good.
  8. Think it was cranberry almond And thanks! I actually did get an HLJ order though, that was the one site that didn't just faceplant on me tonight. I've been planning on a pair of each model for pose and armor/super pack variety.
  9. Heheh.. actually NY's markup worked out for me. I still had store credit from my cancelled VF-31A... I just had to order a Kit-Kat bar with the VF-31E to bump the price to the same as the 31A, and all I had left was to pay shipping. It's beyond stupid that I couldn't just apply the store credit to the shipping (since it included the shipping I paid for the 31A originally), but I'm just done with NY's nonsense. I was going to save that store credit for the armored packs, but I just want to be done with the whole mess. Adding a $5 candy bar was more than worth the cost of just paying $55 in shipping to get one after tonight's madness.
  10. Anyone know how CD Japan's proxy services work? They have that listed at about $15 higher than the normal price. I'm tempted to put one in and see what happens.
  11. Wow, sold out already.. hope Bandai doesn't undercut the demand like the 31A.
  12. Those can take a little while to process. I wouldn't worry if you have the confirmation email.
  13. I wonder if demand for this one was artificially inflated by resellers jumping on the completionist exploitation bandwagon. Demand for this one shouldn't really be any higher than any of the others, except as the final piece to a set. We'll see how hard it is to get at release, I guess. Maybe people are anticipating the demand once his armor parts get released.
  14. Keep the order, and resell it here, I'd say, unless you can't pay for it. Letting it go now just means it gets lost somewhere in the internet, probably never to be seen again.
  15. This was like a non-stop page snafu pileup. I don't think I've ever seen CD Japan behave that badly, and every site except HLJ refused to load anything for me past the "preorder" link until they were sold out.
  16. I think NY either had a severely limited stock, or it was hammered so hard that everything broke. I was on that order the second it loaded, and I was stuck loading my cart long enough for them to sell out entirely without ever seeing the cart page.
  17. Is the internet as a whole spazzing tonight? Seems we're getting double posts here.
  18. Yeah, I'm gonna try for a second at release.. got one from HLJ, but that'll have to do for now. All these sites sucked like a hoover tonight.
  19. Freaking pile of steaming crap this night sucked. Every site except HLJ sat and spun on it's ass while the orders died. Screw it, I'm waiting for more stock. This isn't worth the frustration.
  20. NY crapping the bed too now, won't process anything.
  21. NY's site not working yet, no page up at the link.
  22. Not working at all, just kicks you with the "Sorry, out of stock" message every time you click the preorder button.
  23. I don't understand this at all, I got kicked REPEATEDLY back to the login screen on CD Japan.. I had one in the cart.. and it kept asking for a password every time I clicked checkout.
  24. CD Japan freaking broke on me.. kicked me to the login screen a dozen times in the middle of trying to check out.. wtf...
  25. I'm going to strangle something.
