  1. See...and just like that everyone is happy again..we all can see the beauty in the one and others loves.... I'm like the Ghandi of MWorld!
  2. cuum-by-ya all cuum by ya..... the modellers and toy people can live together in harmony.... (man oh man....put about of geeky guys on one site and watch the "fronting and posing" begin... )
  3. Hey Cap.. have you thought at all about vacuum forming some of the larger body shell pieces to keep the weight down? You could cast extra resin detail pieces to enhance it...and the weight savings would ease problems with the armatures (not to mention help costs ) Just a thought...I saw this technique done with some other big models...they thicker vac plastic for main shell pieces...then resin detail pieces for back-cuts and interiors.
  4. I compared that figure to the cockpit of the Glaug. Her head might fit in there, and that's about it. If the kit is based on her sized Zentraedi, it'll be a HUGE pod! (I wouldn't complain!) And to add to the confusion the Yamato 1/60 Rau is basically the same size as the Club M 1/72 version. I'd say go for the larger one. Scale purists can call it 1/48. Scale engineers can call it 1/72. If it goes to WF...call it BIG! and be done with it.
  5. Well...thanks for offering to help us folks stuck in the US.
  6. Translated: I snooze...I lose. Ahh well...thanks for trying to help out...very cool of you to offer. Cheers
  7. man...just look at those two pics. The pic I posted (from Studio Nue) shows the VF1 at about 50% the size of the Pod. The pic from the animation shows it a little less the 30% the size. WTF!?? Oh well...I agree...I'm for Capn's larger pod...go for it!
  8. man...I tried to do one of these....WAY to much work! I'd rather poke my own eyes out!
  9. There's something wrong when modeling requires this much math. This is the age old debate...art vs lineart. Watch the anime...and the pods are about the same height as the VF1's...then they are a lot larger...the Zentradi are the same height...then smaller...then larger. Based on this picture the Zentradi are significantly smaller....but then there are pictures that counter this. Looking at that (if I include the head lasers in the height of the VF1) I can't believe the Zentradi pictured is much taller then 1/2 the height of the battroid. If this were the case then the Pod is fine in it's size. If they are bigger, it would seem the pod should be bigger. (and by the way....even at that height it looks like the Pod would be a damn uncomfortable ride ...all that running around in tight spaces just reaks of hemeroids! )
  10. If that was the case, we would have gotten our YF-19 FPs or the 1/60 destroid monster. But I did get a 19...and a 21...and an 11....an 11FP, a 21FP and a line of 1/48's and a line of 1/60s with a Rau....There was a time not to long ago when we all would have been stunned if any of those came to light.... So...I guess to me the glass is half full....and Ill bet anyone here $20 that we do see a 1/48 VF-0S in my lifetime. Any takers?
  11. Cool...I saw the flattop...but nothing on Vipers...it would be a neat vehicle to add more equipment down the road...new vipers..maybe some MKVII's...and other cool stuff..... Keep it up SciFI...loving the show!
  12. It's premature for us to start worrying about this. Who knows what will happen. It doesn't look like a VF0 toy will happen anytime soon...but it took a while for the Mac+ valks to show up...and much much longer for the 1/48 VF1's. Be patient...give it some time. It may never happen...but who knows...maybe 5 or 10 years from now Yamato will want to add to their 1/60, 1/48 or other Macross lines. I think the bigger concern then size (and size does matter ) is profitability. Right now...if Mac0 didn't do well and Macross in general isn't selling well then a 1/48 VF-0 or any other new sculpt is probably looked at as a risky investment...if in the future that popularity grows...well...who knows. (maybe Toynami will do it! )
  13. I havent seen that, and can't find it now...it would be cool if they could. Which ship am I missing?
  14. If you go to the official site and click on ships>viper>CAG roster it'll tell you they have 12 vipers on duty, 23 down for repair, 31 active pilots, and 5 trainees as of episode 110(the most recent). I guess the keep a running tally which is pertty durn cool. http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/episodes/season01/110/ thats frackin cool that they are keeping that up. I'm guessing they will have to have an episode when they get a way to get more ships/parts.
  15. Hmm....looks like a boot of the YS/cm kit. Can I use the picture for the models section please?
  16. Anyone know what the picture of the dark figure is on the wall of the ready room? If I am reading the screen cap right it says "Lest we forget" on the bottom of it.
  17. Put me down for 2...I can't help myself. So...1 more.
