  1. JENIUS? You out there? Back from Comic-Con? Thanks for all the field reports. Can you weigh in on this? Would Toynami sell 5X as many Rook MPCs, even at $50 to $100 more a pop than their Beta line? (in other mospeada news; I pre-ordered the new book on nippon-express)
  2. I think I just pre-ordered the book. Hope it works.
  3. Is there a link (or links) to see all the Moscato kits finished?
  4. Side and neck covers DO look awesome. I absolutely need a pack of 8 sets, in white and light gray for my v.2 valks. This GBP looks so good there will be NO waiting for sales . . . (too anxious)
  5. OK - QUESTION FOR THE GROUP: IF Toynami took over the Fuke CAD schtuff from Beagle and went to the same factory for production -- HOW MANY MORE ROOK MPCs WOULD THEY SELL THAN SAY, THEIR RED BETA FIGHTER?????? IMO - Toynami sells 5X as many Rook MPCs, even at $50 more a pop than the Beta. (I think they could go up to $250 and not loose any buyers that would have bought at $200. That's $100 more than the Red Beta to cover ramp up costs) That HAS to be tempting to Toynami - or am I just being delusional??
  6. If anyone from the Matchbox RT line is still around, or even surfing these pages - you should be ashamed of yourselves . . .
  7. B U M M E R I wish you hadn't wrote this so perfectly as I was just starting to perfect my denial of the whole situation. My thoughts 10 minutes ago: "Toynami is just big enough to have the resources to pick up the Beagle ridearmor and finish the line, and let Aoshima do the dirty work. We won't even have to wait a couple of years and buy the Stig and Rey versions all over again" . . .
  8. At first glance the Toynami Regult does nothing for me. I love my Revy. But how much bigger might this be than the Revoltech? Why not he Glaug first since Revoltech has ALREADY done the Regult? Something NEW please! -------- How about a 1/55 Invid/Inbit Command Ship (with opening cockpit and mini gummy figure)? I will keep pushing for that . . .
  9. They won't get me to but another 1J with just a gray visor. They would need a 1J in the light gray of the original 1S to get me to bite. Unless of course this is only offered in a bundle - then I'd probably have to get it anyway . . .
  10. I can tell without even having a CMs version that buying their Fuke would not help my despair . . . (it might make it worse)
  11. Agreed its the CAD drawings - not a mold. Whatever it is I hope Toynami takes it over . . .
  12. My only hope is that Toynami considers the sales potential and buys the mold. They should then turn them over to someone who can actually build them with quality. With huge Fuke sales they can move onto the Yellow version . . .
  13. The Mk II does have that 'artillery' feel. It seems like the military might have actually built one, like the giant rail-guns of the past. It just feels right with the rest of the original destroids, more realistic and logical. Not sure I'm describing myself well here because I know all these mechs are pure fantasy. By contrast the konig shuttle mode makes me laugh quite frankly, thinking of Go-bots and cheap robot toys. I see the battroid as a very bad design, and pointless from a military stand-point when you have heavy valks flying around. I give a 1/60 TV Monster about half of 1% chance of ever seeing the light of day, especially in this economy. But if they did do it I would find a way to buy it, and a place to display it . . .
  14. In fact - if they do release a 1J in the 1S light gray instead of white, I will be snatching that up and selling my TV version (or weathering the heck out of it) . . .
  15. Whether its TV or DYRL it will be nice to cover the blinding white of my TV 1J . . .
  16. TERRIBLE n e w s . . . just awful. YES they should have released her second!! Would have sold more than Stick I bet. Isn't it possible Toynami could take the mold to Aoshima or someone else to continue the project? I'm surprised I feel this awful . . .
  17. I'm hoping for the Phalanx - or the TV version Monster (doubt that though). Not sure what the appeal is for that newer Konig version. I hate the design. The battroid mode looks downright go-botish, and making it modular ruins the cool destroid mode of the original. I've seen clips of it in MF, still think its dumb IMO What would be the point of having something like that change into a battroid mode? Is there a anime clip out there that shows it doing wayyy cool stuff in that mode? ------ Just frustrated I guess. This newer version just hurts my chance of ever seeing the beloved original in awesome toy form in my lifetime . . .
  18. I actually liked it at first glance actually. Not sure I'd spend my money on them, but they might be fun to get for the kids. Have you guys seen these Mighty-Muggs concepts? Don't think they've ever been made though . . .
  19. If we have the M&M valk proto shots out already why aren't there any of the Phalanx? (cuz they're making it so darn cool they need the extra time DG! - there, I answered my own question . . .)
  20. Couldn't they purchase the rights to produce them on a large scale? Companies do that sort of thing all the time, especially if the demand is there from their current customers . . .
  21. Dang it - I hate sounding like a broken record, but Yamato needs to release these, the side covers and some ground crew in an accessory pack! Who among the current buyers of their Macross line could refuse? Seems like a sure-fire success to me . . .
  22. I thought my 1D color was hard to get used to! I just got my Max 1A - THAT is a SUPER white! The original color for the 1S was the best. Lament they did not carry that through to the rest of the TV releases. I may have to weather these after all. Which brings me to the CF 1J. If I decide to weather I may go ahead and get the it and tone it wayyy down on the lightness and brightness factor. . .
  23. I would also pick up the CMs legioss/tread if I could find one super cheap ($70/$80?). Someone post here if they see them come down that far. Doubt they will though. --------- My hope is that Toynami will announce the Invid Commander in 1/55th to go with the Alphas, that would be juicy (a vinyl scout in 1/10 would be stunning of course, but about 14" wide, very unlikely). My worry is that it would be easier and cheaper to do a Regult for their 1/100 line. That has been done very well by Revoltech already. My fear is it won't be an enemy at all, just some hero mech with a new twist . . .
  24. Desert pattern on CF 1A would be HOT! - & - Arctic pattern for the blinding white 1J - that would be very COOL . . .
  25. It was relevant to this topic and finally something that made me want to post. There were pages and pages of this thread with nothing being said at all. Using their license for an enemy mech in a scale with heros already released is 'juicy' indeed . . . (I can wait a week)
