  1. Agreed. Apart from one or two very minor things I don't know what you could complain about with their treatment of Macross. I'd be much happier to see them get it rather than ADV (ugh) for example.
  2. You'd have to create them yourself off their fansubs - fansubbers don't give out scripts.
  3. Both. It's the only way to see the best parts of everything. If can only see one, make it the OVA.
  4. I don't think the point was that it couldn't refuel with a gunpod mounted, just that they would not eject the gunpod for Roy to catch while it was being fueled. At this point in time Roy is one of the few who can really handle a variable fighter with experience. Having a pilot switch to Gerwalk and catch something while taking on fuel while being something Roy might be able to pull off, would be a pretty risky move for most other pilots, hence being against regulations.
  5. If? You do realise that Das Boot has had an English dub for about two decades or so, right? It was released under the name "The Boat" and actually had quite a number of the German cast reprising their roles.
  6. Question is, do many people care? F-91 is close the bottom of the barrel as far as Gundam goes.
  7. Thankfully it's not DTS disks, as they've said that only some volumes will have Limited Editions, not all of them.
  8. I think it's using a fairly new build of Xvid - if what you have installed is older it might have problems. It played back smoothly in WMP 6.4 for me.
  9. The 350mb eps were dvd rips with 5.1 audio, this is likely a raw copy found online with regular audio. It still looks and sounds fine.
  10. For everyone waiting for the fansubbed release, it's now out via Bittorrent from Aone/Anbu. _Macross_Zero_-_04_[E5C83010].avi.torrent"]http://www.gotwoot.net/torrents/[ANBU-AonE...10].avi.torrent
  11. About time. To answer the first posters question, http://www.chaoticempire.org/macross/eps/ also has the translated names for every episode, as well as accurate scripts for when those awful subtitles those dvds have leave things unclear.
  12. Infusion are dead/inactive at the moment though, and both Aone and Anbu are doing a number of other projects so they're likely busy. Aone/Anbu will still do it, it's just a matter of being patient.
  13. Because dubbed Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeada would be competitors against their Robotech releases - DYRL has no such conflict.
  14. Operation 4 to this point has not been subbed.
  15. No, a SEED sequel is still only an unconfirmed rumour at this stage. As for another new UC series, unfortunately it sounds like that's true.
  16. No, not really. For all Macross Plus' high points it can't be changed that as far as the Macross universe goes, it's a side story of little consequence. Zero appears more than that, and I've personally been happy with the action. It's also undeniably the most beautifully animated Macross series made.
  17. No it isn't. Where on earth did you get such a idea? If HG released them, I'd buy them and I;d be boasting. Why not? I'd be happy to finally have actual dvds with english subtitles instead of having only ever being able to watch them through digisubs on a computer.
  18. I assume then that you'll be buying copies of the originals from Japan, so as not to be a lowlife parasite who just buys illegal bootlegs of things instead of actual legal copies.
  19. i'm damn curious what will come of this. Don't sweat reba west, though you may still wind up with tony oliver ::shutters::: Man, this keeps getting worse every minute. Wouldn't happen. Even HG have made a point of not mixing up Robotech and Macross, so they wouldn't drag any of the old RT cast out of mothballs just for that reason. About the biggest downside to this I could see would be the typical HG self promoting - I won't be happy to say the least if we get another goddamn RT mention on the cover of a DYRL release where is has absolutely no place being.
  20. Nobody is arguing that the Tomcat isn't old or that creating a superior replacement would be a bad idea. The problem is that the F-14 for political reasons has been forced into premature retirement to field an inferior aircraft, when the enchanced Tomcat design would have proven superior. Newer isn't necessarily better in all cases. It's much the same issue Australia is facing, as last I read they were trying to push ahead the retirement of their F-111 fleet to eventually replace them with a JSF's - despite the fact the JSF's will have both lower payload and range than updated and maintained F-111's would have.
  21. I don't know how you could come to that conclusion since Battle 7 is all but incapable of combat in Fortress mode. I think people misunderstand Battle 7's actual role. In design it's less of a battleship and more of a carrier - it's main offense and defense are it's escort fleet and it's considerable fighter compliment. The Macross cannon is almost a secondary support weapon. The situations that put Battle 7 into the middle of battle and where it's transformation and higher profile could have put it in danger were out of the ordinary, and even then the risk posed wasn't extremely high, due to it's strong barrier systems.
  22. hahaha, WTF were they thinking with that ending
