I'm pretty sure she misses all her shots. Any time she actually gets close to hitting him, he just transforms and flies away quickly (watch it again, everytime he seems to get grazed, it's actually the yellow burst from his engines). Meanwhile Alto takes his leg clean off with a short burst. It seems that overall manueverability (mainly due to amazing acceleration from the four engines) is the VF-27s main advantage, the reason Alto was able to get the leg was because he used his missiles to confuse Brera and surprise him. Also, despite the VF-27 being able to accelerate faster, the VF-25 seems to be able to catch up. All things taken into consideration, while the VF-27 seems to pack more tech than the VF-25, it seems that SK means for them to be evenly matched (similar to the YF-19 and YF-21 from Macross Plus).

Klan missed, she hit an asteroid (go to around 14:46 and you'll see it clearly hits the asteroid). And the wings and back are actually quite similar to the 25 in that they both fold upwards/backwards, although I dont think the 27 has variable geometry wings.

Actually, from what we've seen, the big red Vajra's main advantage is that regular rounds don't seem to penetrate their outer shell meaning it either takes energy weapons of a boatload of missiles.

But in any case, based on the pics, not only does the VF-25 have a wrap around panoramic display, but it possibly has the most complete one to date with the least number of obstructions blocking the pilots view. It did twice in episode 4, one shot missed Alto and Klan and grazed the wreck they were on, the second barely missed Klan (right before Alto owns it with the dead Zentraedi's gun).

It would be an awesome homage to DYRL.

Who knows, maybe if they sell enough of the 25s, they'll make some 171s. Although personally I want Q-Rea's complete with pilot figure, just so we can finally see how is it they fit into those things. What I'm worries about is that they won't release the super parts as a separate kit (so that those of s who buy the 1/72 can simply "upgrade" their valks), but rather as whole new complete VF-25 + super parts kit altogether. If we're lucky, the legs get a full frame and the torso and arms get at least some form of internal frame to add a bit of strength to the kit.
