  1. That is strange, as I prefer to keep my valks in fighter or gerwalk mode. But then again, there is a reason I don't dig gundams.
  2. It certainly does look fragile but mine survived a five feet drop without a single scratch and not a joint loosen. And I got it at least 3 years ago. My -OA on the other hand...
  3. Oh I'm a fan of the gerwalk mode, god knows I've got most of my valks displayed in that mode. It's just that none of them has that weird and unsightly gap in the fuselage. That said it's not the toy's fault so I'll be keeping a keen eye on this.
  4. Haha that gave me a right chuckle.
  5. Yeah G-mode always seems to be mid transformation between battroid and fighter mode to me, especially with the conspicuous mid fuselage gap. It still looks very sweet though. I hate the ankle vernier rings so here's hoping for a VF-19A.
  6. The best version there is - the CF . Yeah I expected the worst when I heard the crash, but apparently it landed feet first because all the feet thruster claws were bent at ridiculous angles and the torso was unlocked. Thankfully no permanent damage was done and moments later it was "flying" majestically in fighter mode on the Flightpose stand. I might just get another triple set of them awesome stands.
  7. I chose the '51 but the lines on the 22 is unsurpassed in terms of fluidity. Also by extension, the YF-23.
  8. My SV-51 dropped 5 feet when it slipped off the stands in B mode, luckily there is nary a scratch. However it was probably due to my bad not balancing it properly. My other valks are still perched after a week. They may not be as great as the first version but it's still the best way to display a valk in fighter mode, banking etc.
  9. Yeah I hope it'll be released soon, if only for the reason that they release a blazer or a repaint in Q1 or Q2 2011 as I'll be skipping this one.
  10. Also pinning for a low-vis or CF schemes. And yeah the ankle rings are one of my pet peeves, gives the valks a bell-bottom look. Argh.
  11. The fighter mode CAD seems beautiful, looks like I'll be getting a -19A/S/F next year. Exciting.
  12. I used the Wolfpack stickers on my 0A and it turned out a dream. Had to do a lot of trimming on every sticker to make it work though.
  13. I would imagine the 19 and its upgraded derivatives coupled with the VF-171 would parallel the Hi-Low mix of fighters of the F-22 and F-35 in the real world. A small number of Excaliburs would establish space superiority for the flexible 171s that could act as missile boats, recon etc. Well, at least in my mind it seems rather fun to picture them working together. And of course, the VF-22S++ would be the specfor mainstays but I'm OT.
  14. Yeah you'll find that most fandoms in any mythos have camps that jeer each other in good fun(mostly) but I've learnt not to take them seriously anyway. Oh yes...HA Jazz, Breacher, Terradive and Tomahawk are all in my wanted list for this year.
  15. A crazed mass of metal tentacles, obviously.
  16. Very nice collection, I still like HA Bee best. It's not the most accurate but it's very pleasing to the eye, comparatively.
  17. Just watched it. 2.22 just took a veritably dysfunctional show and sculpted it into a masterpiece where everything clicks. For the first time in many years of Evangelion I was actually cheering for Shinji. I gotta admit where the old material(imo) was part awesome and part disgusting, 2.22 is 100% fun. Love the music, reminds me of FLCL.
  18. I agree for the most part but beggars can't be choosers. I'll be another that will be all over the obscure valks if they get released in the Hi-Metal line.
  19. It does look off, reminds me of my VF100 VF-25S, except the muzzle points away from the fighter and towards the ground.
  20. Awesome work, could almost hear the jet engines winding up . Thanks.
  21. Seconded. Size is about right for a display piece and a toy to zoom around.
  22. Thanks for the additional pictures, my personal fav is the one with the 1/2000 USS Enterprise. Really shows off the grandeur of the scale.
  23. Where did you find such an expensive non-F/SP VF-1J? Nice pics guys, personally wishing that this will do very well so we'll have a chance at other valks.
  24. Love the detail and the panels. Very nice indeed.
  25. That means you'll need to keep at least two parts in hand for transformation unless you couldn't care less about the gun. I tend to either lost these sort of parts or stash them somewhere and wouldn't bother with them.
