  1. I've had some bad experiences with Tamiya Flat Base. Brush it on, and it turns powdery white (rubs off on your finger, too!). You could try that. Or use Future Floor Wax or Tamiya Clear in your white. Failing that, break out the DullCote and don't let go of that spray nozzle.
  2. Polka dot 1J(?): Ack! Like the head, though. 1S in same pic: I think he soiled himself. Flaming 1A: Those feathers are...eeeew. But it's reasonable. Blue 1J: Probably the only nice one of the bunch, and the only one I'd apply to a Valk kit or toy.
  3. Interesting...Do I see a car reflected in the canopy?
  4. Hmm. Timber Wolf D? If you want to make it easier on yourself, you'll want to erase the pencil shading, either by hand (a pain, I know) or with a photoediting program (I just use Paint for things like that, then I paste it into Pshop.). Then, use your magic wand (w) to select various parts, and simply color over it. I like to get down the basic colors first, then shade over it. But I am a mere Pshop newbie myself, I haven't quite learned how to play with layers or displacement maps (but displacement maps GOOD)...
  5. Whoops, someone didn't ink in the VF-1's leg Good work!
  6. Guppy: If you're a BattleTechie, what you're looking at is the redesigned Stalker. I have no idea why it was redesigned, but it looks really good...
  7. Ah, the XM-6: http://world.guns.ru/assault/as61-e.htm I like the new stock, and the blue version pwns me. Good work!
  9. I'm coloring Miss Christmas, but I won't be able to finish her for a while. Anyone want to take up the gauntlet? Preview: http://nuclearstomach.bigpolley.com/images...alk1preview.bmp .psd file: http://nuclearstomach.bigpolley.com/images...terry/valk1.psd If you want to work with it in a different file format, PM and I will send it to you under that format.
  10. You know, with the implied color scheme, that could be Millia standing there
  11. That line reminds me SO much of Pink Five. http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/content/pink5 Go watch it
  12. Gonna build me a Gundam Ver Ka soon, and I'm planning to seal it after applying the dry transfers. Will Dullcote work on Tamiya? I heard the alcohol in the Dullcote will do some funky stuff. Also, are there alternatives to dullcote?
  13. Rumors abound...if the series does well (which I'm very sure it did), there might be full-length episodes for the last ten chapters. Only a rumor, though...hope it's true.
  14. Nice work! One beef, though...looking at the holes, wouldn't a shot that big (regardless of weapon type) have blown Roy apart if they hit that close to him?
  15. I'd love to take credit, but it's not entirely my scheme http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...002-page-16.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...002-page-17.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...002-page-18.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...002-page-19.jpg Wow, I see a lot of big differences. Happens when you don't use reference pics
  16. http://nuclearstomach.bigpolley.com/images...sic/vgcolor.jpg Not my best coloring work, but I guess it looks good. Edit: Whoops, left a few parts uncolored...Oh well, I'll get on it another day.
  17. Well, after a day of scrubbing, I'm proud to report success with Windex. I think it works even better than rubbing alcohol!
  18. I think he looks great, and if his legs are where I think they are in vehicle mode, the back row of seats can fold down (or at least back...and the front seats can fold forward, too!) Shadower V2: Police jeep...doesn't sound like a bad idea at all...Just give him yellow lightbars for a park service ride, or full Prowl regalia...Or all-black...
  19. I know that stuff works (I've used it, but I'm running very low, so I'm looking for alternatives.). Hmm...Maybe I should be the first to strip with Windex? Can't hurt the plastic...
  20. Will Windex strip Tamiya? I know several people have used it as a thinner for airbrushing. Next question: Are there any other household chemicals other than Windex and rubbing alcohol that strip Tamiya?

  22. I call the pic of the dual valkgirls, that one was my concept

I suppose he took some artistic license with the M&Ms, but I think they look great. Someone has a little too much time and money on his hands
  24. The old 1/200 Nichimos look pretty good on their own, and come with stickers that you have to cut yourself.
