    VF-OS or VF-0A

Yeah right, and then you show up in the US/domestic seller store, but then they are out of stock because they only bothered to buy 3 units of that thing you were looking for..... SPECULATORS! I guess you're right about the pricing with HLJ, but there are right there, close to the source, and it's easier for them to get restocks and hard to find items.... I'm not a fan of either, is just that both things have pros and cons.....
  2. I was in Forbidden Planet some 2 months ago, and I recall seeing lots of cool stuff in the back of the store, but no Macross. They did have a very big Mazinger figure, statues of various comics and movies, some Revoltech, some optional Armored Core weapon kits and some Gundam FIX. But that's just the stuff that got my attention, there was a lot more. I recall this rather old couple seeing some FFVIII statues and saying 'that's soooo coool!!'. I was in Image Anime last weekend, staring at the Ghostbooster for my VF-0, but left empty handed, and with a lot of dread! ahahahhaaaa I got a sudden 'buyer-cowardness' that made me leave the store.... I might pick it up later, dunno.... other nice stuff I saw were the VF-19 1/60, some old VF-21s (i assume it was not the new one, the box had a clear window....) a single Max VF-1 1/60... but check their website if you want to know more, they do have a full catalog there..... http://www.imageanime.com/
  3. Been to ToyTokyo, same disappointment, almost no Macross/Mecha stuff... I'll check the game store, im not a huge gamer myself, but enjoy it every now and then.... And Murakami, yesss, I gotta go! it's just that the weather is soo nice these days that I get to the weekened and don't want to be inside at all!!! Walking NYC these time of the year is just amazing... Bars open their back yards, it's just the best! Thanks for the feedback so far!
  4. Louville Kentucky!!! Man, I'd love to see the Museum Plaza coming toghether!!! (I'm an architect)
  5. Fellas, I live in NYC and so far I found 1 good place for Anime related stuff, Image Anime, closeby the Madison Sq Garden. But it's freakin NYC! there must be more out there! Anybody can point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot!
  6. OMG! amazing collection of drawings..... is this a game manual??
  7. Hey GOG!! you got the most important thing thou!! Really beautiful pictures!!! Assembling a website is the easy part.... Congrats.. The posing in some of them is really well done too; Revy, VF-1A and EVA-00 Movie Ver. all look really really cool! Keep it up with that project.
  8. I'm looking for a Revoltech website that portrays all models to date, kinda like a catalog, a mega gallery... Has someone run into something like this? With some many figures out, I would love to see a good website showing all of 'em in an organized fashion.... The Wikipedia entry on Revoltech does that, but I would love to see a pic of each one of them.....
  9. I was just wandering that, so Krylon Flatbase is good? Doesn't mess up paint nor decal? COOL! (sooooo cheaper!!!)
  10. Vito, I was going to ilustrate my point the other day with this: Bandai transformable version 1/72 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/bandai/46232i.jpg Hasegawa non-transformable version 1/72 >>>>>>>>>>>> http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...jfeb01page2.jpg Hope it helps.... and besides that, the issue with transformable kits is that too many movable hinges here and there, gimmicks and part swapping are a cleared highway to the land of paint scratches, broken and missing parts after a not long time, if you are not careful... I learned that the hard way LOL!
  11. I have a Mirage C02 Uranus coming together in slow motion. And a Crest-840/UL and some add-on weapon kits in line. First kit in some 8 years....
  12. Just compare the bandai 'transformable' sculpt (lots of part swaping) in fighter mode and the 1/72 hasegawa. You'll have you answer there . There is no phisical room to acomodate hinges and stuff to make transformable without making it look ugly in one/two/all modes of the Valk.....
  13. DO NOT TRY TO BE OBJECTIVE! That's the key!!! I feel that being attached to an anime show like Robotech is like being 55 and still trying to convince yourself that Santa does exist. Now fans are so into it, there is now proud way of stepping out, they'll have to defend the monster they created till the end, but I feel deep inside they know Robotech is souless and already walking 'the green mile'..... Anyways, back to topic: DAPDX rocks, very funny show, readical, that's why I like it. Many other anime Pcasts are booring because they review 'objectively' in my opinion. And as for MW Pcast, I'd say there is no real way of doing it, except for a cooperative effort, where shows would be recorded by many members, and put together/revised by the Admins.... I mean, Admins are already very busy running this website and their growing families, so sounds unlikely to me they'll have the time to put an official MW Pcast together. Mr Ginrai can tell us how much time takes to put a weekly show in the air I'm sure Maybe a once-in-a-while thing like the Blizzcast would be more apropiate, say every couple of months, in the event of something big happening, like the MWcons and stuff.
  14. The Alter SuperSylph is featured in this month's (05_2008) Hobby Japan... and looks amazing... I want FAF planes released now. Is the Super Sylph the only one unveiled as of now? Does anybody has seen any hints on the others coming out as part of this series?
  15. Scans from that book would be great.... actually I want to buy an art book from this series, amazing designs.... Can you guys point me in the right direction? Now, does anyone knows about this Alter company? They are releasing this: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10066725 If they release all the designs, I will be slowly and happily drawn into poverty... (I mean, 100 bucks each, only 1/100 scale.... )
  16. Great idea, gonna try that, I ask my girlfriend for some Npolish.... any directions to remove and dissaemble the head? Nevermind, I found the screw under the neck, and removed the back cap of the head (ther dark grey piece with nice detail).... I think I will stop dissasembling here and just drop some nail polish into the hinge.
  17. Mine has a really loose cannon... Any ideas on how to fix that? like it only stays pointing vertically up, or pointing fwd, like shooting pose... Now, if I could just make it stiffer for a more normal 60 degrees backwards position... tipical laser position for As....
