  1. Brain fart, I meant translated. I saw the website and the JP wiki entry already. If Luca actually was making fun of him, that would be interesting. That'd also be really f'ing confusing to people watching the show. But yeah, actually the encoder changed it to Mikhail back when we were doing the Deculture Edition. He instantly recognized it and changed it himself.
  2. Actually, "hayaku" can me "just do it" depending on context. It literally means fast but depending on combination and context it can be that. I'm not sure what part you're referring to though, I'm kind of tired as is and it's not like I have the thing memorized. Ooh, Gurren Lagann. I remember that. I seriously don't know why folks tossed the f-bombs in there. At any rate, kinks will be ironed out. If the song shows up again, I'll probably retranslate it. This was mostly a patchwork release because we had the script from the Deculture Edition and fixed it for this. I didn't adjust anything in the old scenes because they were pretty much right the first time (sans the Up to the heavens thing, what language is that anyway!?) I was contemplating just not doing the Broadcast Edition at all because it was fairly similar to the Deculture Edition, heh. Combined with my paragraph above and the fact that Michel was said for the first time in the Deculture Edition at that point, it's a rather easy mistake. Stupid script writers.
  3. Oops, I just got up myself so I only read your comment quickly. My bad. My comment was for Windows. I don't know anything about Mac playback myself. I'll keep my ear open about other people having issues about it. If you still have problems with it, I'll be glad to encode a, hopefully, fixed version for you so you can play it.
  4. I made an edit about these above but I'll post them again just in case someone missed it or skimmed it. These are fan transcriptions so their accuracy won't be 100% (nor will mine). There's an interesting little phenomenon with songs that heavily feature JP and English in them that occurs. I've seen cases where the JP fans get all the JP lyrics right but screw up the English ones and vice versa for English fans. It's rather hilarious. At any rate, arguing about them is rather moot until the official lyrics are out. It should be be the same. The same encoder did the work so there shouldn't be an issue. However, there was somebody that asked us about it last night and it turned out he had a codec issue. If you're playing on Windows, I'd recommend not using VLC because it uses internal codecs that didn't to be screwy. I'd recommend downloading the Core Community Codec Pack and using Media Player Classic. I had no issues with playing it myself and those are the only things I have on my computer. Now that you mention something, I noticed a really bad inconsistency in the show. If Michel is indeed Mr. Playboy with glasses then they're either messing it up in the dialogue or they mislabeled him on the website. He's listed as Mihaeru (in JP) on the official website and was referred to as that in the Deculture Edition of the show by Altoh. However, he's referred to as Misheru (in JP of course) in the Broadcast edition by Luca for some reason. You got a site that points out the official romanization of the name? I haven't found one myself carousing the news sites or the official one.
  5. So that's what it was? I couldn't figure it out myself so we put something random in. Not like it's a major issue because it isn't a very key dialogue. It wasn't anything distinguishable in Japanese OR English as far as I can tell. The only parts I didn't get in the actual song is the awful English. The Japanese I actually got. If you're nowhere near fluent in Japanese, I wouldn't comment about sloppy work, in general. It should be noted that the lyrics on that site aren't necessarily official. They seem to be transcribed from Japanese fans as far as I can tell The Triangler Lyrics I grabbed off that site were incorrect in a number of areas, at least to my ear. So it's a rather useless point to complain about until the actual discs are released and the official lyrics pop up.
  6. Note, I meant Farking and not Farting. And screw Kanno.
  7. Sticking with the penchant for German Kawamori seems to have from time to time, I suggest the name VF-25 Verfolger. It means chaser/pursuer/persecutor I believe. If he went with English, VF-25 Persecutor has a nice ring to it.
