Sakura Taisen has Spirit power so... that has nothing to do with Macross 7. 4) Music is music... some is good some is bad... dosn't matter what country it comes from. 5) I hate basara most of the time he's a jerk and I still love the series. hmmm... I think that's very human not just asian, I certainly got it (but apparantly after years and years of exposing myself to Japanese culture and language and stuff... I'm told that I think very Japanese-like in a lot of ways). And recordings did have some effect... it started rehabilitating the victims of the rays and jump started the captured pilots memory... but Miriya knew that a live preformance would work better.... I don't think one should claim to be the biggest and the bestest... I'm not saying that I could take your title but just cause you are the most vocal supportor of it on this board dosn't mean your the biggest M7 fan... And yes I agree with your point though... Macross 7 just has a different way of saying war bad. Macross showed the effects of war on peoples lives (and the gruesome deaths we saw of some of the civies)... Macross 7 does that and makes a good point... what would you rather do fight for you life? or listen to kick arse music. Edit: Your arguing about which Macross is best and if M7 is good or not is pointless... listen to Basra's song. FIRE....

MANNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAA (the company that can't say their own name right) has had the rights to it for a long time and US renditions already did all the work that Manga needs done... all Manga has to do is take the US Renditons masters and transfer them onto DVD... But it's manga so who knows when/if it'll happen.

hehehe, ironic isn't it? That Macross Plus was never ment to be a Macross story and Macross 7 was based on ideas developed for the original Macross if it had gone on past the scope of it's original broadcast. Not that your opinion is wrong (opinions are never wrong) but it's just kinda ironic. To me 7 is the essence of Macross to you Plus... to me Nemisis is a crapy film... but I'm guessing you like it. arn't things of a subjective nature fun?

With Macross 7? I think it's a matter of taste of course... but don't judge it off of ten minutes.. in fact there is only a handful of really good episodes before City 7 and Battle 7 get separated (that is when it really starts to get interesting IMO)... so watch until you see that (and by separated I don't mean the first time they separate to fire the gun... I mean when they are separated... you'll know what I mean when I see it). Anyways in order of release for Macross Macross TV -great Macross DYRL -great Macross Flashback 2012 - Tenshi no Enogude owns your soul!!! Macross II -okay Macross Plus -very good Macross 7 -The true sequal in every way Macross Encore 7 - Pretty good Macross Dynamite 7 -Weird but very cool Macross Zero - ehhh still waffaling on this one For Star Trek Motion Picture - long and long and... Weird but okay Wrath of Kahn - Good but really, what's all the fuss about? Search for Spock - snore! The Voyage Home - Best movie of the series... comic/dramatic genius The Final Frontier - "What does god need with a starship... and what do I need with this movie? Horrible, horrible film... some funny lines though." The Undiscoverd Country - "Trek films are a dish best served COOL!!!" Great film Generations - Not a great film but you can excuse it's short comings cause it links the two film series and it has some really great moments. First Contact - "Assimilate this!" With pleasure... great film. Innsurection - "In case of a bomb not even Data's comedy can be used to keep this film a float" Nemisis - the exception that that proves the odds/evens rule of trek... this film sucks... big time. So while trek has a notable odds/evens pattern... I don't think Macross does.

I was lucky enough to get the US reditions version on VHS in a bargin bin... at a local video rental store... you might want to check around yours... I got the whole OVA for under $10 CDN.

Hopefully, they will port ST3 like ST1. I really like the way that they made PS2 ST1. However, I am more looking forward to the side stories of ST on PS2. I didn't really like Atsuki... it could have been a lot better. IMO they screwed up the ending particuallary the Judeo-Christian symbolsim in the final chapter... And the added Kouran Character episode wasn't that great. Don't get me wrong I enjoy Atsuki but not as much as ST1. probably because they don't need to do much work on it... tidy things up a bit... maybe add some new extras and change the way the portable Kinematron works... and it's pretty much out the door. ST 2 they would have to remake from the ground up. They would most likely need to convince Tomizawa Michie to come in again and record some new dialouge... and Atsuki didn't make as much money as they hoped, I think. It wasn't a failure by any means... but ST3 will just cost less money to port... it isn't dependent on 1 and 2... so yeah.

Those figures are nice!!!! Yes the original Gunbuster had my favorite composer and one of my two favorite Character designers... this Gunbuster only has one of the two... oh well.

Actually from what I've seen ST3 will be a straight port... but how will they handle the portable kinematron? and yeah but... ST Episode Zero has the unlockables and the demons are incased in robotic shells... so I mean there's still plenty of robots in it.

I'll agree with that... Ogami, like I said the story is the most important thing... and Kosuke Fujishima is THE character designer... But the story which is the most important element of the game is about saving the world from Demons... and to save the world from demons you need robots! Story>Character Design> Mecha battles> Any dating game that dosn't have the same elements as ST

I just downloaded the old canned version of the fantastic four movie... in that version doom harldy fights he stands around posing and making bad jokes and Reed takes him out with three punches. If this version isn't better then that I'll... do... something!!!

The main selling point of Sakura Taisen is the girls, not the mech... Let's not worry about what the mech but the character design... and ST 5 is not as good as others... I'm not sure I agree Ogami... I wouldn't play a straight up dating game... for me it's the story as a whole and all it's elements Robots, girls mech... and plot.... but really if it was a game about a theater and macking and a ticket clipper macking on the girls in the theater I wouldn't play it... I'd watch an anime like that but not play a game. And the character designs arn't bad... they arn't as Fujishima-esc but I don't mind them... especially Gemini, Sagiitta and Diana... and the mechs are just cool... I just found it amusing okay?

Okay, Okay... I'm a huge Sakura Taisen fan and I wasn't ragging on the series... I just found it amusing.

Now you all know I'm a huge fan of the Sakura Taisen game series... but this is kind of funny... cause it's a giant robot with a Gunblade in the next game... yeah a gunblade or something really close to it... take a look, this is Gemini Sunrise's Star Mecha in the next game Sakura Taisen V

I am not that looking forward to Sakura Taisen V Episode 0. I will buy it but it is not the Sakura Taisen I will love. ST2 is still my favorite. To CoryHolmes: Surry is not part of the GVRD but it is part of Greater Vancouver. (as long as you can drive) ST2 was pretty good especially cause a I like Leni and Orihime a lot... but ST1 nothing can beat that for me... the ending was just too great... not Atsuki mind you cause it screwed the ending up IMO but the original Sakura Taisen on Sega Saturn. I think the NYKD has enough ties to the PKD and TKD that it'll still feel like Sakura Taisen once V comes out... there has been a lot that has been hinted at that will make the association strong... yeah.
