Shizzler, huh? That's the first time I've ever heard the Cyzlar referred to that way. I generally go by the romanized Sizzler as used in the US Renditions tapes because it sounds closer to the original. Sorry, I'm being picky. I belive the katakana is シズラー which reads Shizura-... I could be wrong but it is something close... so I've always romanized it Shizzler or Sizzler... mind you I've played Super Robot Wars Alpha a lot more recently then I've seen Gunbuster so my more recent exposure is to a source in Japanese.

Gunbuster was the fist Buster Machine... well the first two actually... hence Buster Machine-01 and Buster Machine-02 it's two components... the RXs are not Buster Machines... The Shizzler's are... they are the mass production Buster Machines. So we have Buster Machine 01 and 02 which form the Gunbuster Buster Machine 03 "The Black Hole Bomb" The Shizzlers (Mass prdouction Gunbusters) and Dix Neuf those are the only mecha we've seen that have been called Buster Machines... has nothing to do with the alien theory... but just correcting a semanic the RXs are not Buster Machines.

Yes it is a UNS flying kite... slightly changed but a flying kite all the same... whats the problem? It's as much a Robotech logo as a Macross logo... sheesh. Anyways no Robotech hasn't really introduced anything new... neither has anyone else really... all stories are repitions of the same basic themes... all authors draw inspiration from some source... Mythology... previous writers... whatever... There is nothing new under the sun and you can keep finding older versions of the same stories... the way they appear will change from Era to Era to fit the times... but actually the same plots just get repeated over an over... it's the presentation that has to be somewhat original. Most authors will admit this...

Godzilla thats like End of the Circle you're channeling there... myself couldn't get past the first chapter.... nope EOTC and Rubicon are most certainly gone... and Before the Invid storm... and well all the books and anything sent except possibly the movie (and as that was the only good part... makes sense). Even Janice not having an outer-disguise can be explained if you want to keep the movies... she needed one before when she was Minmei's sining partner and was top-secret... where she dosn't need one now... just like in Sent the SDF-3 needed an outer shell as a diguise to get past the Master's outer defences... where as the shell will be gone when they find it and it can look like anything. They can do a lot with the sent characters and mecha and not disvaladate the movie.

Well Tommy has said the scope of the sent movie is harmless enough and that the Regent does exist in cannon Robotech... so I'm assuming the idea is to make it so you can take or leave the sent movie as you see fit as a fan until such time as they redo it... at least that's my understanding.

I am politically a suporter of gay rights, I donate my time and money to candidates who support gay rights, and I feel there are just better insults out there that don't exploit a group of people. "Special Eds" for games I have bought Robotech Battlecry Collector's Ed: Yeah... the art dull the soundtrack... awful... nothing in here that was worth the extra money Sakura Taisen 2 Memorial Ed DC: This was actually cheaper then the regular ed or the limited ed... it came with a special DVD nothing interesting on it really... other then a collection of openings and episode previews. Sakura Taisen 3 Memorial Ed DC: Again cheaper the the regular ed or limited ed, it came with a very nice picture frame/music box that plays "Mihata no moto ni" I still use it Sakura Taisen 4: I got the regular ed and not the special ed... the special ed came with cell phone straps... how dull is that? Sakura Taisen Atsuki: The special ed came with a very nice pocket watch and I wish I got it... but I went with the regular ed. Sakura Taisen V Episode Zero: Came with a beach towel (which I tacked onto my wall) a poster, a figure and glass mug (which I do drink out of)... by far one of the nicest special ed packs I've ever gotten. I'm not crazy for special eds but given the right incentive I will get them...

Whats on this? I really like the Southren Cross music especially the opening and closing... and I'm debating between getting this or another record... can someone tell me whats on this?

There was a single outfit in DYRL that was less then spectacular... and I ponted out what it was... at least in my opinion... I really like the TV series flight suits. I wasn't talking about Sent? Where did I mention sent? Basara and Max are from Macross 7 and Louie is from Shadow Force, where did you get sent from? And I've already displayed my lack of taste for the bucket. And yes I'm aware of the smilalarties between the DYRL flight suits and the Sent flight suits... the DYRL ones are better by far, I'm not going to argue that. And the sent uniforms were just pretty much southren cross uniforms so I don't see how one can diss the sent uniforms without dissing SC uniforms. But AGAIN I WAS NOT TALKING about sent... Keith called Shadow Force's uniforms gay and Agent called 7's uniforms gay... And while I don't think that any uniforms have sexual orientations... I don't find the off duty jump suit from DYRL or the Nasa like space suit from Flashback to be to my taste... I wouldn't want to wear them. Anyways I will resend the Robotech part of my statement cause there are Robotech uniforms I like less. Those are the two worst Macross uniforms in my opinion. As to if I'm on the right forum or not... better here then a Robotech forum anyday... I havn't even seen Robotech in years... why would I since I have Macross DVDs?

Oh yes the worst uniforms in Macross/Robotech history are A) The thing Hikaru is wearing here in DYRL and B) Hikaru's "NASA Space Suit" type outfit from Flashback 2012... compared to that... Basara and Louie and most certainly Max, are awesome.

What? Max's uniform was great. and my big point was that Agent 1 was totally wrong about the color of Basara's pads.

As awfull as the Sentinels were, and as lame as the uniforms were, they were a hell of a lot better than the pink football pads that Basara wore in M7. Why the hell is it every time Keith complains about something someone has to reply with a complaint about Macross 7? Do we have to lay bait for M7 fights in ever single thread? Honestly Agent, I expected better of you. Note also white and blue not pink... maybe you just didn't look close enough whilst Listening to his song. I actually ment that the bucket should be forgotten. I take the sent movie as cannon (not that I really care about Robotech that much anyways but...) in the sent movie he says "Dr. Lang desgined me this new face plate to wear to the wedding." So as far as I'm concerned after the wedding it's gone... dialouge requirement fullfilled.

The only things I see that came from Macross is the collar on the uniform/cape and Louie's hair. The boots kinda make me thing of a Macross flight suit... but yeah a lot of MOSPEADA influence, especially the mecha... wich is what it should be.

Woot, GO BROOK GO! Anyways yes it's not just us SC fans... I myself like the sent movie (though not the story that flows past that point and Brook and I have argued over this many times)... but I know that not all versions of Sent can fit with the anime... and even the movie is so so... and HG has come down softer on the movie since so many people yelled at them... but... eh. You can probably even find fans of all the old comics who will get mad about them messing with those. You know... with a series with so many incarnations people are going to each like their own. I've even same the same thing with the fandom of the Takarazuka Theater or the Sailor Moon Musicals... some people belive one incarnation of them is the best and nothing else since or before can live up to that... And the same thing will happen with Robotech. But Brooks right about factionalism with Macross and Gundam...
