Anyway it's actually a fairly important film, in terms of special effects production, because it was for this movie that the modern green screen was first used (because the blue screen didn't work with billy's blue armor).

Alright after 17, I think I need to put my theory forth on Lanka and Sheryl's past before the series goes any further (and probably proves I am a fool). I believe (as I have for a while) that Lanka and Sheryl are at the very least cousins and possibly sisters. They are both the grand daughters of "Dr." Mao Nome (maybe even daughters but that's unlikely even in Macross with crazy hyperfold times). Now I believe that Lanka's parents/grand parents were experimenting with trying to communicate with the Varja using the fold crystals they found in the varja bodies... these crystals somehow became fused with Lanka herself, while they were given to Sheryl as a present in the form of jewelry (possibly at orders of shadowy group). Of course Shadowy group at this point stepped in and took over Sheryl's life guiding her to the point where she'd reach stardom, while they lost track of Lanka after the science fleet was destroyed, only to find her again on Frontier. ^^; that's what I think anyway.

dunno about that, I saw pleanty of advertisement for Valour Vs Venom at least and where it should have been (hobby stores thanks to the video game and comics, and kids TV stations that show cartoons) true I only found out about the Devil's Due comic by seeing it on the shelf... but I saw pleanty of adverts for what came after.

sorry for asking another dumb question, I havn't seriously collected transformers in years (I've collected Optimus prime figures but not really any other characters) I'm thinking about getting back into it, there's more then a few Animated characters I would like and some other ones that are coming out. But I'm confused about Hasbro's class system... from biggest to smallest is it? "regular" Deluxe Voyager Leader or what?

I dunno... if you repainted it white, slapped some Rebel alliance logos on it, I think it'd look very cool indeed. But that's just me. Are you talking about the escape pod? It was mentioned that the Falcon does have escape pods, the Imperials mention in A New Hope that they'd all been launched already and that the log said they'd been jettisoned just after take off. I believe in actuality they were supposed to have been jettisoned when Han dumped Jabba's cargo.

The spider totem thing was JMS's idea, I myself personally told him it was weird. (I worked as a CSR for a company he happens to deal with and happened to answer his call one day... it was weird I won't tell you what company though) Anyway the main reason for changing the history was actually to make spider-man's identity a secret again (it became public knowledge after the Civil War). Also Norman's come back a few times... so why not Harry? Besides Mephisto can do that I guess he probably has Harry's soul.

Well in reference to Firefly I'd say that it was a dual nature, very Chinese inspired but also very American Wild West... and of course that's because those were sort of the two surviving superpowers before they left Earth. As for Bebop, I can't say I never got past the first couple episodes. Also I've read some Jazz critics saying that Yoko Kanno borrowed her Jazz arrangements (none of which really fall into Bebop) from other sources. So I don't consider it her finest achievement, musically either.

Okay I need some help TF fans. I'm trying to work on a project, but I need high res reference pics of Flint and Lady Jaye's daughter from Transformers G1... that's right everyone's favourite EDC Captain Marissa Faireborn. What I'm looking for specifically are good shots of her in her combat space suit (Five Faces of Darkness), General EDC Uniform (The Killing Jar), Dreamwave comics uniform (the one with the jacket), and black "baroness" body armor from the first issue of that most perverted of Transformers manga... Kiss Players. If anyone can hook me up with any of those I'll be most grateful.

I actually did really like the House of M itself, it was interesting to see what the world would look like if Magneto was in charge (though it was mostly a rip off of the X-men/Dr. Doom Chaos Engine trilogy books).

Not really... I just know that there's beens some revelations after the House of M... *shrugs* after House of M I didn't read much marvel anyway.
