  1. That's not hard to establish in a story context though... it exists to mine and process some precious resource found in the asteroid belt, the tactical purpose of attacking it is to gain control of said resource and/or cut off the space station's owners from that resource. There.
  2. I hate to say it, but Star Wars... is Star Wars... it'll sell no matter what. GI Joe on the other hand...
  3. Awesome pics! I don't suppose I could paypal you some money to pick me up some SDCC exclusive Cobra Commanders?
  4. GI Joe Resolute USS Flagg reminds me of Prometheus.
  5. Well the 90s wetsuit had a removable helmet so if the 25th anniversary dosn't, something is messed up.
  6. Booth Images 3 MAMAMA MASK is the mighty power that can save the day! Booth images 4 so... cute!
  7. You know, I was watching old GI Joe commercials, and I just hope when we see destro in his mask he looks better then this
  8. Wait... Scarlett came with Hawk, Destro came with Breaker... so which one gets left behind? I see Scarlett and Hawk on the pegs a lot in Zellers, and I'm in Canada lol.
  9. The Earthsea anime was directed by Miyazaki Goro not Miyzaki Hayao (Goro is his son and former curator of the Ghibli museum). There's also a live action Earthsea movie with Kristen Kruek.
  10. No I don't, and I should say I've only read two of the Horus Heresy books so far: Horus Rising (by Dan Abnett), and False Gods by Graham McNiel; both are excellent. It's really interesting to see Horus as a noble figure for the first book and a half and his tragic hero-like fall. I need to pick up the third book sometime soon.
  11. His Dark Materials is awesome; I highly recommend it. For Warhammer 40K Books I would recommend the Caiaphas Cain novels (for an amusing read) or The Horus Heresy novels if you want an epic. I didn't mind the Dresden TV series but the novels are a thousand times better. Of course if you don't mind something a little outdated, I'd recommend the Lensman noves by EE Doc Smith as some light fun. Some good Vampire Fantasy, Other books I'd recommend, Anno Dracula by Kim Newman, The Vampire Genevieve by Jack Yeovil (same person as Kim Newman) which is a Warhammer Fantasy book but pretty unique. Dark Wars the Tale of Meiji Dracula (by the guy who did Vampire Hunter D). Also on my list to recommend are Tamora Pierce's Tortall universe it's meant for teenagers and is pretty femmenist, but I still love them... they can get a tad repetitive, though. Don't pick up her Circle of Magic books though, not that they arn't good but they're too young (where as Tortall is still enjoyable by adults) The Tortall books are as follows Song of the Lioness Quartet -Alanna the First Adventure -In the Hands of the Goddess -The Woman who rides like a man -Lioness Rampant The Immortals Quartet -Wild Magic -Wolf Speaker -Emperor Mage -The Realm of the Gods The Protector of the Small Quartet (the worst of them in my opinion) -First Page -Page -Squire -Lady Knight The Daughter of the Lioness -Trickster's Choice -Trickster's Queen Dogs of Provost (still on going and the earliest point in the timeline) -Terrier anyway if I think of more I'll let you know.
  12. Yeah I know, but my point was that the idea of different types of Jedi with different training (hence different skill sets) for different tasks such as the Watchman and Guardian was established outside of games in the Tales of the Jedi comics... so it wasn't just include to drag-and-drop over different wizard classes.
  13. that's what I was thinking too... I mean the Princess in that had sort of a viking feel to her costume.
  14. did they give credit for Macross/Robotech or Yamato for the battle cruiser with the Yamato cannon in the first game? Obviously the cannon itself is a reference to the Yamato but the captain was very reminiscent of Cpt. Gloval down to the Russian accent (yes I know he was Italian in Macross).
  15. I like the music for it anyway, they performed it at Video Games Live in Edmonton back in February, they debuted that piece of music for the tour when they reached here. I might pick up the game at some point.
  16. Again merchandising is what really matters, the original Gundam series almost got canceled due to low ratings but was saved due to merchandising.
  17. I didn't think it was that bad... and Hayden wasn't horrible in it... though it's not his best performance (which was in Life as a house)
  18. He looked like Light Yagami... it was hot.
  19. All in all I thought it was pretty awesome. A lot of good things in there, yeah it was short but it made effective use of linking elements in each story, and I thought it was pretty badass after all. And Bishie Batman is pretty.
  20. Thanks for the history lesson, I know some stuff about the Canadian laws (since that's all I personally need worry about) but it's interesting to know about the American Laws too.
  21. Actually I knew about it from a magazine called PC Accelerator back around 96 or so (this magazine was a really dumb magazine, it was all supposed to be the beer swilling sexist man's videogame magazine) And AVGN has stayed away from ET despite the number of people asking him to review it. I don't really like AVGN's potty humor but some of the stunts in his videos are kinda interesting which is why I watch them. I just watched the Atari Porn one last night, it doesn't focus on custer rather it's a tour-de-force of what people could get away with back then.
  22. That would be interesting since her older sister Luna has a fragment of the Dragon God Sipheed. Also it would be interesting that Shabranigdo didn't realize part of him was in Lina when they fought.
  23. btw, am I the only one who didn't like the fact that Red Star had a GI Joe base, rather then the Oktober Guard getting it's own base?
