  1. Even thought I'm a long time Macross fan, I haven't bought much figures/toys. Things changes, finally I received my order from HLJ of my very first Macross toys These are some of the best toys I've seen. The logitech is terrific and packed with an incredible amount of details for such a tiny figure. And of course Yamato 1/48 VF-1S is awesome, almost perfect, but you already know that. I used the original sticker but I'm waiting for Takatoy's to had even more sweetness to this truely amazing toy. Too bad the head stick out that much in fighter mode.
  2. Yes, HT annonced they were working on robocain 8 month ago for a release date sometime in 2008, still no pictures I think they made 3 robo versions: 1 robocop, 2 from robocop 3( one with the gunarm another one with the flight pack). And I can confirm the flight pack fit perfectly the first robocop figure, I made it. I bought the flight pack on ebay.
  3. Are you sure about that, HLJ status record is still discontinued. Geez I really hope you're right. Hey Steve68, buying recast is evil.
  4. Yes and I think it explained why HT have such a hard time to develop a robocain figure. I hope they will find a way around this.
  5. Koto ED is ok, very nice. It's made out of vinyl. But you can find it at a better price on ebay, like $5. $20 is way too expensive. You're a robocop fan? Click here, you're gonna like it.
  6. Oh boy! It sucks. I'm gonna received my yamato 1/48 VF-1S + super & strike parts and I can't find anymore supplier for quality decals to use instead of the horrible stickers set. Can anyone help me ?
  7. Hi Boa! Why MKII? I don't know. I know it's used for planes like WWII Spitfire MKI. Congratulation on your koto Cain, you won't be disapointed. Now the ED209 showed here is Hot Toys figure. I heared it's pretty difficult and expensive to find nowaday. Should you get one...first you have to find one. Good luck. On this photo, you can see Hot Toys ED209 on the left (big one) and kotoon the right (micro one)
  8. Really I better give it a close look, don't want this one to slip between my fingers one more time.
  9. You're right. Too bad Platz MAVE resin kit won't be re-released also.
  10. Well gumby want his project to be fully officially licensed. Actually he spent a lot of money to make his proto by using 3D printing. He made the 3D model himself, very nice and accurate in every details. I don't know if he will be able to go to the end of his project alone, it's been a while since the last time I heared of him. who's gumby I had the same concerns about the weight of the upper body on resin legs. The torso is so massive. Metal legs should be the solution unless you use a very lite material for the torso. I hope the links I posted earlier could help you updating your plan.
  11. What I want is a revoltech Guges from appleseed.
  12. HLJ have the bandai 1/100 kits back in stock. I placed my order for the Mave already.
  13. Yo captain, I would defenitly wanna have a 1/6 scale resin model kit of Cain : sounds like Xmass. You still have the plans you drew up yes? Hey you remembered the guy a talked about earlier who's doing one? His name is gumby and this is what he has done so far: Pretty neat.
  14. Comparaison between the original and mine: I'm happy to find other Cain Fans here. It's too bad they never made a decent model of this bad boy. There's the horrible Argonaut kit and the excelent but too small kotobukiya figure. Geez captain america is it true you were asked to make one? I have a friend who's actually making it. I will post pictures later: really incredible stuff. The thing about the chicken legs was, according to Cain designer CRAIG HAYES, to empathize the torso, just like bodybuilder's. You can find some beautyfull photos of one of the stop motion puppet used for the film, exposed at Tippett studio , thanks to my friend Animachina: Cain photos And here are precious photos of the Cain life size upper body: Incredible CAIN real life torso from Tippett studio Hey ruskiiVFaussie , here are some shots of my HT ED209, lightly customized:
  15. Hiya; Here are some shots of my favourite cyborg design: robocop 2 bad guy CAIN. This is what I made out of kotobukiya little figure. I hope Hot toys will make a large scale Cain sometime
  16. Thank you my friends It was a pleasure to work on such a fine kit.
  17. I finished my kit today. It's been 10 years since I built my last plastic kit. Given that I'm pretty glad of the final result. It was also the first time I used an airbrush. I still need to practice. I must say I was amazed by the quality of this kit. Crisp details, no glue needed, pieces snaps together easily, fit perfectly. You just need to think about painting it. A+++ I was inspired by the work of another modeler for the paint scheme. Excelent idea, it gives justice to the beautifull curves of the FALKEN. Too bad Bandai and Namco never released more of them, like the ADFX-01 MORGAN. It's time to go back building my Yukikaze kit. In memory of Ace fighter pilot PIXY
  18. Yes, I understood. Talking about the price, it is way too high. Not like we have much of a choice either. Toynami - CM......CM - Toynami.
  19. Horray, I received my kit today: I'm so excited, I'm gonna start building it right away. And I won't paint it red or black, looks dull. But this is something I like better:
  20. Geez it's just a plastic toy after all. I do like the way it looks, not lineart accurate, not as bulky but rather slick and elegant. Sure it's different. And yes, I agree the intake are ridiculously small, out of scale. But if you don't like it, buy Toynami. I bought one (exposed in fighter mode) and I will get CM's red Legioss, keeping it in soldier mode.
  21. Sideshow emailed me. My Deunan and Briareos should be shipped in 20 days. I can't wait for it. Geez, this knife is pretty big anyway. Musn't be very practical in CQC.
  22. I don't care about the US blu-ray if the artbook is missing. I love this kind of stuff and I won't take the chance to miss anything published on the mecha design. I'm gonna email celga to catch the blu-ray ed for me on amazon.jp, just for the book. Looks pretty thick, must be loaded.
