  1. This is my method of getting rid of the gap. You have to carve part of the shoulder piece inside so it can be pushed forward. I did this with my dremel and a cutting bit. You don't need to dismantle the arm. I just did it so you can see it better.
  2. This is my latest custom YF-19 For anyone interested in having this custom, it is on ebay (auction ends on Monday). Don't expect to have more of these for sale. Some of the features: The front black section have been repainted for more accuracy and the extra canards that comes with the toy have also been painted black. The pilot suit has been painted black too. The yellow color on the wings, shoulders etc is not paint. It is a special thin pactra tape specially made to decorate model kits. This tape resists peeling and creeping. The yellow tape looks great and does not get damaged during transformation as paint does. Markings have been perfectly cut so minimal seams are evident. The shoulder gaps have been reduced. A neck cover was made and a cover between the head and shield was also made. The crooked gunpod has also been fixed. Panel lines were done with pencil and look very neat. The most notorious modification is the workable wing flaps. I will transform it once and take pictures tomorrow in battloid mode.
  3. I will take more pictures as soon as I finish some minor details. The dremel was used to cut the wing flaps
  4. I couldn't resist
  5. Being from Peru, it is great to see the Nazca Humming Bird as a logo of a Macross U.N SPACY fleet
  6. This is the best method: Put a piece of plastic on the left arm where the gun attaches. You can cut a small piece of plastic from an old dvd case. Give it the same shape and that's it.

  8. I think Venom can be revived, maybe there is still a sample in Dr. Connor's lab.
  9. Very nice indeed. I want to see them all
  10. I saw it and the movie is great. Although there are too many plots and villians, the movie manages to give them equal importance. I will have to see it again. I am still not sure which one is better, spiderman 2 or 3.
  11. If you have not received an email by now, then send me your email again. I have most of the stickers available except the YF-19 sheet. I will make a second version with the Ravens emblem in case Yamato releases the VF-19X
  12. My apologies for the site malfunction. I will redesign the site with a new look and pictures of the stickers applied with close-ups. It is time to make the site a little bit more fun to watch. And sorry for not replying emails, my internet provider was upgrading the system and now everything is running well.
  13. I think I had the same problem. I bought my second YF-19 and the right shoulder was loose. It did not hold on angle and the shoulder flap was always falling off. I used a hair drier and heat both sides of the shoulder. Then I picked up a towel (to avoid burning my fingers) and squeezed both sides until I saw it was enough compression. Now the shoulder flap doesn't fall off and the shoulder holds well on angle.
  14. As Graham said, I also think the 1/60 YF-19 looks great. All the manufacturing problems this toy has are minor issues. The only mayor problem with this toy is the price tag. There is nothing new of this toy rather than a wonderful design. No new diecast parts (necessary in my opinion), not a Kawamori signature, not a special edition box, no fast packs (yet). But still, the toy is way overpriced. I also collect other toys and some already compared the Bandai Gunbuster with the YF-19. Yes, Gunbuster is no Macross, but at about the same price you can see the difference in quality and extras. Yes, Bandai is not Yamato, but at least Yamato should have considered lowering the price or adding the fast packs and a special stand at the same price. Now the fast packs are going to be sold separately for US$60-US$70. The design of the fast packs look great. But why charging so much for a couple of pieces that should have come with the toy in the first place. This is why fans feel that Yamato is taking advantage for being the only company selling 1/60 transforming Macross toys. To aliviate this hate for Yamato charging so much for the YF-19, I always think myself years ago almost buying the Studio Half Eye YF-19. Same price but smaller, unpainted, unassambled and no landing gear
  15. Hi I have these new stickers available, US$10 each. These will probably be the final reissues, if you want them, send me an email to importsalexander@terra.com.pe I can send these new stickers on saturday.
  16. Thanks. All the modification-fixes are moderate-easy to do, except the wing flaps and the shoulder gap. Apply the stickers and panel line the toy with a pencil. It will look like a beautiful model kit
  17. I recommend isopropyl alcohol. This type of alcohol is used to clean computers, fax machines etc. Be careful coz it is very flammable.
  18. I also cut the small markings to the very edge. The stickers adhere very well. Even if I miss placing a marking right, I can stick it out and re-apply with no problem. Just make sure the toy is clean of impurities. Sometimes it has a shiny look and looks like there is some demolding agent left on the toy. Also try to place the markings with the xacto knife avoiding touching the adhesive with your fingers.
  19. Yes, I use pencil for the panel lines. It is very effective and easy to do. I forgot to recommend buying a battery operated pencil sharpener. You need a very sharp pencil to access the thin lines.
  20. Sorry, sometimes I have to work out of town and don't have access to a computer. These are some final pictures of my YF-19 with stickers and all modifications applied.
  21. Wow, I can't believe that just one simple question turned into a debate this big Blame on Yamato, why tampo printing the skull on the tail fins when it was not on the heat shield Well, I did not remember that part of the skull emblem was on the gray part. The best solution is paint matching. It is only a small portion that you need to fill, you don't need to paint the whole fin. From a drawing of Model Graphix, the tail fin emblem should go like this: I was not bothered by the extra skull emblem on the gray because I have the strike stealth, but I concealed the skull emblem anyways applying the proper marking. Buy the fastpack for the stealth, it looks a lot better:
  22. I don't recommend removing the skull emblem. Instead, try painting the skull with a black permanent marker and then apply the sticker. That is the easiest way to conceal the skull.
  23. That neck cover looks great, did you use the spray cap plastic this time?
  24. No, you don't have to shave the grey piece, but I shaved it off a little due to the tight space. Make sure you clean what you shaved off with the x-acto knife, any debris inside and the shoulder won't move forward.
  25. How did you cut the flaps, did you use dremel too? Although the dremel tool is fast for cutting, the round blade is a little bit thick and takes some of the plastic. The x-acto knife would be the best option, but I could only use it for cutting the tip of the flap.
