  1. From what I remember, there was a sort of blank profile pic of the Tri-Charger that CM's was supposedly working on. I was really looking forward to it, since I was one of the few that actually liked the CM's ride armors, and was excited to have a Tri-Charger at the same scale to display with it. I keep all of my in-scale Aramaki stuff (MOSPEADA and BGC) displayed together.
  2. I feel very fortunate to have two of the Sega Tri-Chargers (though no RidingScepter, since the only ones I found were so overpriced, and in such terrible shape, that I just couldn't bring myself to buy them). While I truly love those toys, it's more the idea behind them than the execution. I really hope this new one comes to fruition, and at a decent scale for display.
  3. I'm pretty giddy thinking about this. Would love to add it to the collection.
  4. I haven't heard anything one way or the other, but assume there won't be anything new, unless they add some of their own artwork which will be... unlikely to be anything special. Still, the completist in me has it on preorder.
  5. I would disagree. That was not sampling, that was appropriation of an entire work, nothing transformative about it, full appropriation and misrepresentation. I have literally pursued near-identical cases for clients... ... but I don't want to get into a rant. Not the right thread for it.
  6. That's what we call "copyright infringement"
  7. I got my Sentinel Legioss about a week ago. I put off opening it until today, since I had a few projects that I'd been procrastinating on. Finally opening it was my reward to myself for motivating to get off my backside and get some things done. Now that I've opened it and gone through all the modes, I have to say... I'm a huge fan of this. This is definitely my favorite Legioss that I own by a long shot. The engineering on it is fantastic, everything clips nice and firmly into place in plane mode, the metal-to-plastic ratio seems just right, with a good, hefty feel, and this is pretty much exactly the size that I like these toys/collectibles to come in (though I dread the size and price of a potential TREAD). It also looks gorgeous in all modes, in my opinion, and has the right amount of paint and decal apps applied. I will admit that I didn't even attempt deploying the landing gear. All of the tolerances on this are so tight (as in, REALLY tight) that I just don't want to risk breaking anything. Besides, I'll never be displaying it with the landing gear out. I also went straight to the instruction book for transforming it; usually, a big part of the fun for me is trying to figure out the transformation on my own, but, again, due to the tight tolerances and how you don't know if a part is about to release from a tab or is about to break, I just didn't want to risk it. The little rider figure is super floppy and the arms fall off if you look at it wrong, but, as the owner of a very sizable number of different Megazone 23 Garlands, I've learned to appreciate ball joints that pop off instead of breaking (this is my view of the Sentinel ride armors, too). Finally, and most importantly, a HUGE thank you to @Sildani who came to my rescue when my Amazon.jp preorder was canceled. Great to deal with, very helpful, and very very fair. I really appreciate it. Thank you!
  8. Does anyone have any links for ordering the new book into the US? I probably have everything except for the Genesis Breaker material in at least 4 other books already, but... I feel like the completist in me will be kicking myself down the road if I skip it. Thanks.
  9. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find a reasonably-priced blue Sentinel Legioss? My preorder through Amazon.jp was cancelled by the seller "due to Coronavirus shipping restrictions" a few weeks ago. I assume I'm stuck waiting for a re-issue (hopefully).
  10. I have all three of these, and they're still on display and still some of my absolute favorites. The core figures aren't really parts-forming, except for the lower fairing/backpack and exhaust becoming a weapon. The parts-forming is mostly storage of weapons and accessories, which I am totally ok with. These are great figures and what got me into 3p.
  11. Possibly. The 3-d printing is sort of a side gig for me, but my main job is 95% work from home anyway, so the shutdown hasn't really affected me yet. On the other hand, if clients start getting worried about the economy and get nervous about spending money where it isn't absolutely necessary, then yes, I might find myself with some free time there.
  12. I keep meaning to 3-d print all the various upgrades I've come up with, but even with 6 printers, I never seem to get around to it.
  13. Still frustrated that by the time I got the metallic Yellow it was too late to send away for the special box and parts.
  14. Love it. Too bad I haven't been able to get my hands on any Rideback items other than the original manga.
  15. During my engineering days, I sometimes did like materials with like, but sometimes dissimilar made more sense. if you knew that there was going to be wear, but one part was easier to replace when it wore out than the other, then you made that part out of the weaker material. Not saying that's the case here, but that was the theory. Of course, other times, it's just cost. You want to make parts plastic, but it financially makes sense to use off the shelf metal pins, so you use those with plastic surrounding them.
  16. I'm very happy with the Arcadia one. Honestly, I like all of the others too, but don't think they're worth it unless you get a really REALLY good discount off the asking price. The Arcadia is, in my opinion, worth what they ask (considering the niche market, of course).
  17. Sadly, life has been keeping me pretty busy lately. Still watching the threads though, just not buying as much fun stuff...
  18. Heads up, all: The windshield is BARELY supported in there, but is retained by a thin enough piece where, if not aligned perfectly when transforming, the tab holding it in breaks off. Supergluing now...
  19. Well, looks like DHL lied about that Monday delivery... because both my Yellows just showed up.
  20. DHL says my Yellows should be delivered on Monday. Definitely looking forward to this.
  21. I have to say, this is looking like a much more robust design than I was expecting. I'm actually a bit impressed.
  22. Read Furman's Transformers: Re:Generation One (or whatever it was called... from like 5 years ago, when he continued his original run from the Marvel TF at IDW, as opposed to his early world-building IDW stuff). He's been phoning in garbage for a while now.
