  1. writing function is to enable people of the earth to understand persons other than self in a non verbal manner using this format without using punctuation is rude to the person who is attempting to understand the expressed ideas of person who is the writing but is inefficient as the writing takes time to decipher leading the person who is reading to conclude that either the person who is writing is mentally challenged and incapable of producing a coherent thought or that the ideas contained within are not worth reading as the person who originated the ideas did not care enough for those that will come to read the ease of reading and comprehension refusing to format written message in easily comprehensible manner

I understand but it's quicker for me to write like that. Well I can't always get what I want, so ill start adding punctuation to my sentences.

  2. Just fyi, they have done this FREQUENTLY, and it's not so much a company as it is a designer for the anime, in this case Kawamori. There are a lot more designs for variable fighters than I think you're aware of. They're not going to redesign the originals (that would just be stupid considering the history they have established), but they've been adding new designs for over two decades now.

Honestly, the only "Tomcat" style valks to me are the VF-0 and VF-1, and the VF-1 is even iffy to me, since it's so small (reminds me more of the F-18 in terms of proportions). The rest are very different in what they look like.

The SV-51 is a clear descendant of Russian planes like the Su-27/35.

The VF-17/VF-171 comes from the F-117.

YF-19 takes elements from a mixing of foward swept wing planes, most notably the Su-47 and X-29.

The YF-21/VF-22 is an obvious tribute to the YF-23.

    VA-3 Invader is a tweaked A-6 Intruder.

    VA-14 Vampire is a modified SR-71.

I could go on. Suffice to say, they've already done what you're suggesting, and they've done it a lot.

Whether toys are made of any of these is an entirely separate issue from them being designed in the first place. A lot of these designs have been drawn up, but until it gets featured in some new show, there's no reason to make a toy.

At that point, you wind up with merchandise for it's own sake (ie, transformers) that might at some point get a series, not something that came from an established anime series, which is what Valkyries are. If this is what you meant by making valks more like transformers, I see your point now, but it's not going to happen.

Transformers are "hey, lets make a robot of this because it'll look cool, and we can write a story for it later." Macross is more "hey, lets write this story, and it'll feature people flying these transforming planes."

Where transformers will change design over time (Starscream has been MANY different aircraft designs at various points), Valkyries don't, because they have an established history. The VF-1 will ALWAYS be the way we see in the lineart. The only way that will change is if someone decides to reboot the series at some point, or like I said before, if Hollywood gets their grubby hands on it.

lets hope they don't, and if they do get their hands on it hope to god they make the director watch the anime for accuracy. Or have George Lucas, Micheal bay, and Steven Spielberg

to make it. Micheal has action Lucas has sci fi and space steven has story all three could make a awesome live action movie.

  3. Actually not quite, you still have to remove the intake covers, but all the Yamato valks have those now.

VF-25 eliminates a couple perfect variable problems by not even addressing them to begin with (they just ignored the intake covers entirely), but they still have interchangeable hands. <_< Yamatos have these too, but they are alternates to the posable ones you can fold out of the arms.

This topic really gets debated to death every time a new version of any valk comes out, and people start adjusting their perceptions of "perfect transformation" to match those of the companies producing it. If you really want perfect, you're gonna have to go to the lengths of some of the custom modders here, and make your own changes to a valk to make it perfect in your eyes.

It all comes down to how picky you are personally, regardless of how "perfect" a company says it is.

should they remake the vf-1's to transform like in the show like the leg mechanism shown in a earlier post here

  4. Since i discovered how Kawamori designed the leg transformation I kinda find the term 'perfect transformation' kind of erroneous because it doesn't quite mimic the originally designed transformation.

    vf-1-transformation5.gif

Kinda makes it hard for toy companies to design it perfectly with swing bars. The V1 1/60's are actually more accurate transformation wise

that design would be cool :D

  5. Both the 1/48 and the 1/60 V2 are perfect transformation toys.... I'm not sure what you're talking about as far as removeable nosecones. The fact you CAN, if you feel so inclined, remove the nosecone on the V2 (as shown as a feature in the actual show) doesn't make it less perfect as if you don't want to remove that part you never have too and it's never going to just fall off on its own.

im saying is that the other person said the 1/60 could remove its nose cone then I said it couldnt then he said the nose cone is a escape pod then I said it isnt man you can read and no punctuation for you

  6. Then you need to get your hands on a Version 2 Yamato Valkyrie. It's about as "perfect transformation" for a VF-1 that you can get in 1/60 scale. The only parts-forming it has is the removable nosecone/cockpit...but that's 100% lineart accurate. It acts as an escape pod of sorts, so it's supposed to be removable. And if THAT isn't perfect enough for ya...then go for one of the 1/48 scale Valkyries...

the 1/48's have a removable nose cone not the 1/60 and a nose cone is a nose cone not a escape pod

  7. I think by "they" Shadow Strike does NOT mean Yamato, but rather the studios making the series/movies - it's just that he seems not to notice that one could interpret from his sentence that he thinks Yamato designs the valkyrie in the first place...

I read the "they" in his sentence as referencing a general, generic "they" (aka the people who make the series/movies) rather than "they" = Yamato.

This could easily become a fun new Macross World sport: Can You Understand the Meaning of Shadow Strike's posts? :)

I think we have non-english native speakers from foriegn countries who are easier to understand... :)

But then again - we should make allowances for his young age I guess. Can't be too hard on him.

    Pete

Yes that's what I meant, the companies that make the cartoons and so on should redesign the valks. Nothing that radically changed, just a design change like from tom cat style which it currently is to something else.

  8. HAHAHAHA!!! :p

    and to quote the genius:

I could really care less what you have to say!

    :p

nah... maybe a few more pages of this: :p

if i call my self a genius I would say i am but i said the idea was not me clearly you cant ready on a side note POTATOES

  9. wow... thread finally made me laugh at how pathetic and sad it has become... awesome apology btw for missing the "uses" disclaimer by calling yourself a genius...

    i'm wondering... has anyone ever been reprimanded here for starting the most number of stupid threads???? :p :P :p :P :p :P :p :P :p :P :p :P :p :P

Human nature is most amusing, I say one thing you all come to me like lost puppies wanting to be noticed. Also how something little as completely isolating someone can drive them crazy. Another thing how people can't think for them selves so they need someone to tell them whats right and wrong.

how can it be stupid you talk prideful but the truth is to the companies your nothing more then easy money. So when you die there wont be a need to make valks I mean who's gonna buy something they have no idea what it goes too. Also this started as me wanting to know if you can use better materials, and it turned from that to transformers, to all this pointless stuff.

I could really careless what you have to say, just like any other person in this world people are nothing to me but pawns in my game that everyone will soon be involved in.

  11. Yep, Macross is so dying. Its not like it just finished a hit TV show a couple of years ago, has many top selling albums, has just released a theatrical movie, or has a crap tonne of products on the market. Nope, it totally looks like its on its last legs. I lament with such sorrow for my poor dying franchise.
if you paid attention when you die and all the other old farts here then there wont be that stuff anymore because who the heck is gonna know what macross is when all the fan die of old age or any other hilarious ending.

Yamato waste money making valks to please the old fans and so when your gone they wont need to do it anymore or make movies and so on. Thats why I said get kids into it so when you all pass on there will be people to fill your shoes

  12. Yep, you're a genius...

We should be so thankful you will put your genius mind to save Macross.

there's no need to be sarcastic I don't see you coming up with ideas to keep macross alive

  13. If you look at the very bottom then it will tell you why.

    Uses

The potential uses of this plastic are many, such as for things that are impractical to fix on a regular basis, like parts deep inside air plane wings or space ships. It is due to the possible applications of this plastic in the field of aeronautics that major funding for this research came from the United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research

lol sorry you know what I'll stop trying to help and when things break just file a complaint to the company. You come up with your own ideas for keeping stuff from break. Also my idea to keep macross alive was genius but like all thing people put it down then when its too late you cant do it

  14. I did. What kind of plastics are you referring to?

Like a polymer or self healing plastic and yes such a thing exist here's a link self healing plastic or look at the atoms in palm or abs and enhance it to resist heat or stress or lower its brittleness

  15. WTF are you talking about. What series?

At least there is an attempt at punctuation this time :p

Macross is a series you know like Macross plus frontier and so on.

Two definitions that describe what I mean by series

1.similar things placed in order or happening one after another

2.A number of things that follow on one after the other or are connected one after the other

  16. Ummm...no, you're giving your opinion. There's a huge, enormous chasm between your opinions and the truth if your posts over the last few days are any indication.

It's the truth because eventually renaming and repainting old things will loose its luster. It'll be like a dual knife it just wont cut it. Also when you all die what will happen to macross just dust in the wind unless you do what I stated earlier in order to get more people into it.

Why can't anyone understand what I am saying, its like im speaking Icelandic or something.
