    sv-51

which sv-51 is the best to get? the one with the no problems.

I like the ivanov color the best, but i'll just get the one with the best quality control&improvements.

was the manufacturing order- ivanov, nora then the tan?

My SV-51 military production is realy good no problems with it

  1. I have been collecting the 1/48 lines and am happy with my purchases. To me, it is a pleasure to look upon the stacked big boxes which definitely look like collectors' items (especially those of the VF-1S(F), VF-1A(H) and VF-1A(M)).

And then, Yamato is repeating the whole process again with a new line of 1/60. Unarguably, it is an improvement over the 1/48 models, and I gave in and decided to pay a monthly fee to Yamato in the coming few years.

However, personally I am still rather fond of the 1/48 series:

    - Size does matter. It just doesn't feel the same. Imagine a PG Gundam and a MG Gundam. The latest MG may sport a nicer refined design, but the PG just has its unique charm. Look at those big boosters of the FAST pack!

    - I know both of them are TOYS; but to me the 1/48 version looks more a collectors' item, and the 1/60 more a toy. Both from the views of packaging and the model itself.

    - The 1/60 is revised to be more balanced, and so in particular the chest plate size has been reduced. However, I like the 1/48 chect plate design better somewhat for feeling more towering and powerful.

Of course I know the 1/60 has many merits too, and also going 1/60 means Yamato is bringing in units that they wouldn't produce in 1/48 otherwise. I just want to point out that the 1/48 hasn't lost its value entirely. At least to me. I am wondering if anyone shares the same thought with me, or most people think 1/60 wins hands down in every aspect?

i like bouth but the 1/60 v2 is looking better with the fully posible hands and better transformation and how its more posible

  3. Just what we need, another -19 thread. :) Anyway, I'd like to address the primary, big, debilitating, sorrow-inducing, major problem experienced by some -- the fuselage problem. I posted a picture of what to look for in Graham's review thread, but I suspect it will escape some, as the thread has grown to 50 pages as of now.

I hope this thread is allowed to remain, not to induce panic or Yamato-bashing, but to inform. I hope this is helpful. If you have stress marks (or a break), please post up so that we can find out how widespread this is -- hopefully we only have a few, isolated cases; also please include when (approximate date) you ordered or received your impaired -19. For those that have a -19, here's what to look for: white stress marks under the black screw heads.

maybe you should contact yomato and tell them to use that new ab plastic that is like super tough durible and dosnt brake i mean they used it on other figures tell them to remake that with ab plastic and it that add die cast then less plastic to worry about

  4. My VF-1S had the shoulders broken upon receipt. And I just got this TWO days ago and took it out of the box. WTF!!

I brought the legs down to transform it to gerwalk and there I could see the right shoulder cracked at the pin. I moved the legs out of the way to repair the damage.

I applied styrene glue and let it sit to soften the plastic before I apply pressure to rejoin the parts and glue them together wiith a second application of styrene glue. So far, so good, I left the parts alone for eight hours so the glue would be completely dried out and the crack set and repaired. I then proceded to remove the shoulder covers because the shoulders were on too tight and I feared the arm would break also.

I don't know what the hell is going on with these, but this F-ing sucks.

    Thanks for nothing Yamato. <_<

depends ware you bought it bigbadtostore products are better and you can try robotech.com

  5. I'm about to transform my VF-1S back to fighter mode for the first time. The Strike/FAST packs are still attached. Should I remove them before transforming or is it save to keep them attached?

I realy want the VF-1A or the VF-1J and maybe the 1S but there sold out i asked bigbadtoystore if they can put in there store havent checked my email to see tell me ware to get one except japan hobby plz B))

  6. Since alot of us started talking about what we would want in a "next-gen" Macross game in the Ace Frontier thread, I decided to make a separate thread for things we'd all like to see if ever a Macross game was released on a 7th-gen console.

    Let me start with mine:

-100 Player multiplayer dogfighting (I mentioned 60 in the other thread, but then realized that Sturmovik: Birds of Prey will allow for 100 so I thought, might as well).

-Campaigns which take us through classic Macross events (think SDFM for PS2, but not limited to the TV series and DYRL. Macross 7 campaigns should have you as one of the elite squadrons protecting Sound Force).

    -Coop campaigns

-More valks than you can shake a gunpod at, including the more obscure ones, and the VB-6!

-Playable Zentraedi mecha, if the PSP game can have Queads, then a console game should have them too.

    -Fire Bomber

That's my list, feel free to add yours, as well as agree or disagree with mine.

its a good idea but why for the psp and not for the computer that will alow for a bigger dogfight then 100 and it could have a patch server so the game can be updated also the people who made robotech macross and their video games could make a website for use to download it also the stuff you buy shouldnt be rental and it would be better if like in the show depending on your work and fighting you go up a rank and earn a new type of wepon for that rank and new valkeries like rick hunter was a corpler or something and he had a VF-1J and you should can your paint design for your valkerie at the begining

    sv-51

My own Nora had slightly wiggly wings, the right side definitely droops a tad in comparison to the left, and her hips aren't exactly the tightest in the world (rawr? No, no, that's definitely not appropriate), but for the most part it's still pretty solidly assembled.

Visually I'd say it's nicer looking than both the Ivanov and the CF, though, fixes or not, simply because it's so different (and it's not an unpleasant difference). How many Magenta fighters will you have in your collection, vs. yet-another-charcoal-grey?

theres a swich under the wing for the SV-51 so try moving it to lock the wings

I'm not sure if this should get a sticky or not. But since we're starting a NEW Toys section this should be important. If you have ANY problems with your 1/48 line, then feel free to post as required.

    VF-1A Hikaru Ichijo

    VF-1A Maximilian Jenius

    VF-1S Roy Focker

    VF-1A Low-Visibility

    For future releases.

    1/48 Super/Strike Fast Pack Upgrades

    VF-1J Hikaru Ichijo (SDF: Macross)

is there anything wrong with the vf-1s 25th aniversary and what are its improvments

I don't know what bizarro world you live in, but the GBA game was a hideous disaster. Battlecry was at least fun.

ya battle cry is at least fun but they should have added more lvl or if they make a squal they should at least include all the veratecs in robotech and macross for more fun and more challenges they should also at least have a really good multiplayer

  9. they should make a new robotech or macross game that has every veratech or valkery made and you should be able to land and take off when ever you want and it should be multiplayer also they should like if i were to play i would be the sv51 please reply if you think a video game with all valkerys or veratech ever made can be used to play as in the video game and they should have missions from the shows movies and ones not from the shows and movies :DB))
