This guy's auction descriptions and outrageous shipping costs are always a bustup. For the VT-1, he always uses his wife's comments and that one sold for $1800 back in 2008. XD
Here's another one of his auctions that he claims is a custom. Man, does he think he can really get someone to pay .99 plus $60 for shipping?!?!

There is no guarantee a certain item will go on sale. For example, the Max and Millia 1/60 V2s. Not only did they not go on sale, they pretty much sold out soon after release and it is hard to get them at a good price.
Managed to pick these up on eBay a few weeks ago for $380 for the pair. Perplexed me that no one had bid against me.
A few things I had ordered from HLJ sale got backordered, such as the GN-U VF-1J Hikaru and VF-1A Production Type. What are the chances HLJ can restock them? Seems like these items would have been sold out of their initial runs since they have been out for quite awhile.

Still haven't opened the set I got, but the pics of it look nice. It's disappointing that I could only get one. I wanted a squad of these to go with the Fan Racer. Would rather have more of this true version than the easily-obtainable 1/48 version with the wrong VF-1A head. Anyone got plans to make the Angelbirds stickers/decals for the legs?
They were shipped in a master carton which contains 4 units. So they are protected by two layers of heavy duty cardboard.
But when we ordered 5 units, one unit was shipped by itself without the protection of the master carton.
That's the unit I kept. =P
Oh, forgot to thank you for making it possible to get this.

Do the feet/thrusters collapse inward on this 1/100 like they do on the Yamato 1/48 and V.2 1/60?

I had an ex-gf tell me I had too much stuff, but then again, she was too stubborn to realize she was nitpicking about something that gives me a lot of enjoyment when I could be a major loser like the last guy she was with. My family doesn't razz me about my collecting. They don't understand it, but they realize it's something that I really like. As long as I'm not putting myself in debt, they don't care I guess. Even if it takes awhile, I'm not going to settle for a woman who has issues with my stuff either. I know I'm a geek, and I'd rather hook up with a chick who is as much of a geek or collector as I am if not a little moreso as long as it's not detrimental to our relationship.

Hi all,
went through my stuff recently and found this VF-0A with its shoulders cracked. I don't think I ever transformed it when I received it. It's complete with all accessories and the unused manual and sticker sheets still taped to the bottom of the inner cardboard tray. Box is in great shape. I have taken a pic of the shoulders showing the cracks. Letting this go at $65 shipped within the continental US. This would be great for a custom project or can still be salvaged if you can repair the cracks.

Sorry to get off-topic, but I've been looking to oomplete my MP Seeker set, but Thundercracker is just going for too much now. Any word from Hasbro about whether this guy will be making his way stateside? I'm worried that Hasbro may not bring him over here if sales on Skywarp weren't good enough. Skywarp just seems to be all over eBay. I'm wondering if Hasbro produced more Skywarps than Starscreams for Walmart or if Skywarp just isn't nearly as in demand as Starscream.

I would have to transform it and take the shoulder covers off to actually check them, so I may do that if I get enough requests. The guy I bought it from on MW said he bought it new originally, only transformed it once and left it in Gerwalk mode, which is when the yellowing occurred. He transformed it again to put it back in the box. As far as international shipping, I could, but I would have to charge part of the shipping fee. The quoted price only includes shipping within the continental US."

Hi all,
I'm offering a Macross Zero VF-0S with Ghost bundle that has yellowed significantly. I originally purchased this here from a MW member a few weeks ago. I don't recall in his description that he stated it was yellowed when I inquired about it, so I was surprised when I received it. When I contacted him, he stated he clearly mentioned it in the thread and even had a link to pictures of it. However, before I received it, he edited the original post in his thread completely leaving out all info about the VF-0S. Anyway, no use crying over spilt milk, I guess. In his follow up response, he claims that it was never in direct sunlight and thinks that light reflected off a wall onto the VF-0S causing the yellowing - in case anyone is wondering how it happened.
The VF-0S suffers from yellowing on the top right half in fighter mode from the nose to the chest that extends from the top of the plane to the side of the fuselage and the side of the right intake. Also affected is one whole side of the right arm. Even the gunpod is discolored on the right side but harder to see because it is gray. The Ghost is also discolored slightly on the right top side on its small front section. I have not fully transformed it since I received it - only slightly to show the yellowing on the right arm. It must have been on display in Gerwalk mode with the Ghost attached when it suffered the yellowing.
Other than the yellowing, I see nothing else wrong with it. All parts are accounted for. The instruction manual and unused sticker sheet are present. The box is in good shape with some minor wear. I'm asking SOLD TO MAIDEN JAPAN anywhere in the continental US. I've included some pics here. These and the rest can be seen in this photo album:

I just want to get the version without the armor because of the TV Roy pilot. I already have the Super VF-1J Hikaru, but plan on getting the GBP armor for that, so the pilot and Super Armor are a non-issue. I figure I could swap out the TV Roy for TV Hikaru and add the Super Parts just to change things up someday.
I haven't been following the thread closely, but is Hikaru's name tampo-printed onto the Hikaru version? I guess if it is, I would have to get that version at some point then. Are there any other differences between the Roy and Hikaru versions?

That's true. Not sure why Lilith came to mind only. I do have some Morrigan figures I will be listing as well as a whole mess of gashapon and larger figure lots of various video game and anime figures.

Regarding the peg, I broke one on a VF-1A Hikaru by dislodging the leg improperly or with too much force, I guess. You really have to be careful when detaching the legs. Never had this happen (or anything break) on a 1/48 and I was rougher with those.

I still like the head better in fighter mode on the Ver.1 because of the white collar it has.

I do have some Lilith figures and Vampire Savior gashapon figures that I plan to put within the next few days. I've also added some new Macross/Robotech items like a vintage 8 inch Robotech Cyclone and a 1/60 25th Anniv. YF-19.

I've decided to end it a few days early because there was no new participants for couple weeks, and I didn't want people on the 2nd list to miss the 1000 unit cut.

As long as HLJ has confirmed the items that you wish to order by sending you an e-mail, the cost of the item will be what it is in that invoice e-mail. But, I think HLJ doesn't reserve in-stock items if you wait for the rest of your items to be in stock before paying for everything, so an item you have on hold that has not been paid for can be sold to someone else. So your Sheryl can go to someone else if you wait for the rest of your items to be in stock. What sucks is that if you pay for any of your in-stock items, they will be shipped without the items that are not in stock. I got screwed this way on the Yamato sale they had. Most of the items were in stock, so they shipped and I took advantage of the 50% FedEx shipping, but I forgot to downgrade the shipping service on the last few items that were not in stock. So when the last items were in stock, they automatically charged my Paypal account (the last payment method I used) without confirming it with me and charged me for FedEx shipping (the last shipping service I used) at the regular rate since the 50% offer was over already.
