Anybody else see that the Wii mod chips are out. I've seen 3 of them...2 are promising since they are upgradable. What I really like is the price. They are all about the price of a game.

If I'm following this correctly: - The R2 is a clone of the R0 with subtitles - The R2 has all of the extra feature the R0 does (if its a clone) - The R0 is the truest copy video and music wise - The R0 has the greatest amount of extra features - The R1 has some changes to the music and cuts. - The R1 has the best subtitles IS THIS CORRECT? So the best of both worlds is to loop the R1 subs on the R0 or R2 release? Thanks for the help in clearing this up.

So how is the Region 2 release? Is that the one referred to as Renewal?

The only reason I can think of is if you're a Mario cart 64 addict. I still need to find another nunchuk and probably one more classic controller. BYW those sleeves for the wii-mote are pretty cool. I bought 2 when they were on sale for $4.99 at circuit city. I doctored mine a bit so its easier for us folks with fat fingers. But they are a total pain in the ass when you take your wii-mote to play on someone else's wii.

I picked up 7 copies of Wii play today. Went to target and got 4 copies when it opened this morning (1 for me and 3 for relatives)...then decided to try best buy since I could get reward points and they had 40 coming in. So I bought 3 there (1 for me and 2 for relatives, My bro-in-law showed up at the same time so I didn't pick him one up since he bought it himslef). Then I find out that my other brother-in-law lucked out and got one last night when he bought a new TV. Now I have 5 extra copies of Wii-play. So anybody desperate for a copy? Either that or I'm taking the target one's back and putting the 2 from best buy on evil bay. I'm betting in a week they be going for a nice chunk of change. If your interested, pm me, I'm not looking to make a profit but will need money for shipping and a couple of bucks for my time. BTW the wii play games are pretty fun. I especially like the tank battle game and the shooting game. My wife really likes the find the mii game.

So someone at a store finally let me in why they horde the Wii's until sundays. I was told that Nintendo has a deal with most retailers that on weeks where Nintendo buys an add in their Sunday ad the store chain must hold the wii's until that sunday morning. So that's why Target didn't sell theirs until today. I picked two up for my in-laws. Anyway for those still trying to find them try best buy tomarrow. Nintendo didn't buy an add and the best buy people said they will sell them monday. At least here in Minnesota. It's kind of funny but I've now purchased 7 wii's for myself and others and have waited a whopping 15 minutes in line total for them, never buying more than 1 per time. BTW, I finally got to play the wario game...fun but I must say its onlly a rental since we finished everything in the game in 2 hours. Fun for parties but the trading off of the wii-mote gets a little sickening. For the life of us we could get a 2nd wii-mote to work on that game.

I wish wonderfest was going on in late march. I'd have to take out a loan for everything I would buy. We just noticed that this Anime fair was going on. Hell I've never even been to one here in the states...every time I want to go to one the tickets are over $70 for a day.

Anybody know if the Tokyo International Anime Fair is worth going to? It happens to be going on when I'm in Tokyo n March.

This is nothing. Wait until you see the cranial implants devices or devices that run off that technology. My wife (a neuroscientist) did some research on a monkey at Arizona State that could move a robotic arm just by thinking. It had a cranial implant. They also have one that can fly planes on a flight simulator just by thinking ala Gould Bowman from macross plus. Those monkeys will do anything for food. Mean as all hell though.

But how do you get around with that mass of suit baggage? We were reading that there's nowhere to put your bags on the trains and that the stairways and hotels don't have room for massive bags. Also when you ride the bullet trains do they have cabins and places to sit or are they like the other railways where you have to stand? I'm getting mixed reports from some of the materials I read.

Hey everybody, We're finalizing the plans for out trip to Japan and we're having trouble trying to decide what district to stay in within tokyo. Basically we're looking for a good place to base ourselves. We're both 30 and would like to see some of the nightlife but we're not exactly going to go clubbing either. So far we're thinking one of the following: Akihabara area Roppongi Shibuya Any suggestions of districts and/or nice but not too expensive hotels/ryokens is more than welcome. Thanks

Would you by chance have the profile plans for the YF-19 and SV-51 that you made. I'd like to try and shrink them down and use Aero Ace gear in them with pusher props. Also what material are you sculpting the SV-51 from and how are you sculpting it? Do you think a 10-12" wing span version could fly as a sculpt rather than a profile? Last, you wouldn't know of anywhere that one could simply buy a sculpted foamie body that could be modified into a SV-51 or YF-21/22 would you? By the way your SV is truly inspiring Cheers

This one doesn't flex at all. There might be some foot pegs added to assist the swinging action. At this point we're mainly just curious if there would be any interest anywhere. I though it might be cool to add a set of pedals to make the prop spin. The sky's the limit on what could be done. On a valk version (tomcat) the kid would probably have to sit with their feet on the wings. Personally, I think the YF-19 lends itself best to the whole thing. The other thing is that they are a little on the wide side...I'd say around 3 ft wide (maybe a touch more). In some cases you might have to remove a swing to actually use it.

Hey everyone, So i'm over at my in-laws for x-mas when out in the wood shop appears a shiny red baren fighter for the swingset! My father-in-law (a carpenter) is thinking about selling these and maybe creating other designs. Below are pics of the Red Baren prototype. He said he might even try doing a tomcat (paint up like a valk) if there was some interest. He's good enough that he could even build some of the other designs from macross. He could also make these an unpainted kit or a fully built version. We even thought he could add some real wheels. Would any of you be interested in this sort of thing and if so what would you be willing to pay for one?
