Well, Alto is a good pilot, but that doesn't mean he had the knowledge (nor the time) to do an indepth search of the databases.

It's her depiction as a sexual object that bothers me (both in giant and micropedonized form). I love the show, I hate the scriptwriters for slipping in such a trivious clichè . But it could have been worse: the fan service of the first episodes could have been carried over to the second half of the series, but thankfully that was not the case.

Klan's chest is actually one of the most annoing things of the whole show. Beside being ugly and absolutely unnatural, it just characterizes her as "speaking giant mammaries" instead of a serious character (don't let me start on her micron from). Thumb down to Kawamori & c. for all this.

I agree, he should have been aboard a UN VF17, unless the New UN Spacy was created that year (2048) and only to designate colonial fleets units. This particular could make VFX2 non canon (I hope so, I never liked the idea of having to reference a videogame to know the complete history of a series).

That's my opinion, too. Here's a better picture. There are so many subplots and characters still to explore that I think only one episode won't be enough to satisfy my need to know a whole lot more about the Macross universe. I really hope that in 2009 we get some new TV series/OVA!

I was afraid the fuselage was locked in place when in battroid, and that was the only restrain I still had to buy one of these new toys. I guess soon a Roy and Hikaru 1J will be my new freinds

I have a question: did you have to lower the fuselage in battroid to make the head sit correctly (a murky sentence, I know, but from the official pics the 1S and A heads in battroid are level with the shoulders, and they shouldn't).

I know, I Know, I'm nitpicking, but Luca has a NUNS uniform in ep.23, and I was a bit annoyed by the fact that to let the "hero" stand out they had to leave him with his old clothes instead of giving him NUNS flight suit and helmet.

Why on earth do Alto still wear SMS uniform? And do him and Luca always take their flight suit home after work? Because it doesn't make any sense that both of them in ep 23 are wearing SMS flight suits and helmets if the whole ship was gone. Even Gamrin used a cannon Fodder suit when piloting the vf11.

Well, you must admit that it's difficult to have faith in the actions of someone whose vocabulary is limited to "I'm sorry", "Alto-kun" (various tones), "Ai-kun!" and "Brera-san..."

Now that the subs are out, we know that Ranka's intentions were to stop the war and not oly go after her lost memories. That, however, doesn't change the fact that she has little to no brain. The whole sequence when she opens the canopy in outher space to go hug Ai is simply dishearthening. I actually hope Alto kills her before realizing she is the key to Frontier's salvation ("Nooo, Ranka, what have I done! They turned me aginst you, but now I see the truth... die, Leon!"). Remember, Alto: you can repent AFTER you have blown her to smithereens. Ozma will avenge her, don't worry.

After the last episodes, I think Macross Galaxy is a victim of Grace's collective AI just as much as Frontier. I believe the distress call back in ep.5 was genuine and that they were swarmed by Vajra. Grace (and her entourage) is just a rogue member of that fleet. My two cents. Remember that Brera follows her orders only under compulsion. maybe the other VF27 pilots are other brainwashed cyborgs.

Basara had very deep feelings for Sivil, but you have to read between the lines. At the beginning of Dynamite he is still giving water to the plant that he saved from the bubble-cage Sivil was trapped in during the series. I agree on the difference between the TV and DYRL Hikaru, but I must say in the latter case he's just acting like an ass instead of simply being dense.

It's posts like the one C&P below (see the word "straight") that made me think you have some problems with omosexuality. Maybe I misunderstood. Ok, sorry for the off-topic!

I would have said the same thing of you judging from your avatar , but since being gay is perfectly normal, I don't see anything wrong with it. So, yes, why not, basara could indeed be gay. Or bisexual (it would fit perfectly). I alway thought that the strong bond between him and Gamrin was intentionally played to leave the viewers with a doubt abouth their inner (true) feelings. Thus said, in my opionion Alto is the denser of the two (the other one being Hikaru). Waaaay denser.

Macross 7 is the best macross series to date, but that's my opionion. Before asking others what to expect out of something, try to watch it yourself. Will you hate it? It's possible. Will you like it? Good for you, because you have 49+ episodes to enjoy.
